Landflix Odyssey is an action platform in which players play as Larry, a lazy binge-watcher who finds himself trapped inside the streaming service after using special batteries. This incredible world is called Landflix!
In order to return home he has to recover all five batteries ended up inside the TV shows on the Landflix platform.
Landflix Odyssey is a clear reference to video-on-demand platforms and TV shows universe.
In each TV show our hero can count on some special powers that will help him overcome obstacles and dangers in any game world.
Our hero can move through parallel dimensions, use magic swords, do superhero stuff with superhero tools, take drugs to increase productivity and defend himself with a crossbow against hordes of zombies.

The parody of Netflix and some well-known series such as Stranger Things and Game of Thrones is a nice idea for this Plattformer. The levels mostly feel good. It's also good for people who aren't pros as it saves often and you don't have to replay as much.
However, there are some nasty parts where I don't understand why the developer went to such extremes here. But since you can buy individual "episodes" with the coins you collect (a nice feature), you don't always have to play the same level. Thumbs up and I hope it gets a few more players!
Badly design and poorly tuned. Poor controls and inconsistent visual language. Relies on the "oh, right, I have to die here and remember that" mechanic too much. I'm sure the devs can finish it in a heartbeat but this lacks a lot of polish and balancing that would have made it a solid platformer. I'll keep plugging away at it, but it's a very frustrating experience, if only because underneath it, there are some good ideas.
Bought the game on xbox last year for 14.99, when I saw it go down to 2.99 this week on sale on PC, I had to have it on here too. It pains me to see this game not getting much love on Steam as it's not perfect but is both enjoyable and fun if you like platformers with action/adventure. The parody's in the game are hilarious and each of the five episodes are vastly different as is the game play and special attacks. The level design is great and I love the challenges presented with every boss battle.
Each stage has 100 coins to collect as well as other collectibles that are hidden throughout and you can use these coins to unlock additional levels as well as secret content which I love. The game also has achievements which I'm a sucker for as well as checkpoints generously placed throughout each stage so gamers of all skill levels can play the game without worry of getting a game over or restarting the level from the beginning.
For 14.99 or full price, I can see why some people had minor complaints, but for 2.99 it's absolutely a steal and a must buy if you like action platformers with hilarious parodies sprinkled throughout. Please support this dev and buy the game as I highly recommend it!
Managed to complete the first world but overall this game is terrible and needs a lot of work.
The biggest offenders are that hitboxes on spikes are way too large but the big one for me are the timed platforming sections like moving in between alternating rows of lasers are just way too fast. For example, the main boss fight of the first area has some incredibly fast moving platforms along with bullets coming at three different levels (again, which are way too fast), with instant death if you go too high or fall down. Some levels space out the checkpoints for some reason too, maybe to pad out the playtime. The ice level has some bizarre mechanics where instead of sliding on ice, as soon as you land its like you stepped in mud, and as you hold forward you start to move a little faster which makes no sense. I dont even know about the other levels because i dont care to mess with the problems previously mentioned. The attempt at humor is unfunny and cringey as well.
Disclaimer: My scores/reviews are almost always based on having bought the game at close to the "lowest historical price" on steam at time of purchase.

Notes: The game is a bit of a mixed bag. The visuals are great, the mechanics are a bit simplistic but generally solid. Level design is okay, but there are a couple extremely stupid sections, and 1 very annoying boss that is almost pure luck. The dialogue is pretty terrible and not at all funny or interesting.
Overall the game is just decent, there are for sure better platformers, but if you can get this for less than 3$ on sale like I did, it's not a terrible purchase. You'll get about 5 hours of playtime out of it if you go for 100%

Do I highly recommend this game? No.
But Landflix Odyssey is interesting solely for its parody aspects about the shows. Each show has its own mechanics so that it doesn't feel like you're doing the same thing throughout the game.
Worth a try on sale if you're interested in the show aspects. If you don't care about the shows, probably look elsewhere.
This is a very fun, very traditional platformer where you get to explore your favorite TV Worlds! :) :) )
