Seven Mysteries - The Last Page is a supernatural horror game played in a top-down view. In this game, you are acting as Nathan, a transferee at the only school in a certain town. You are knowledgeable, cunning, and able to keep your calm no matter how hectic things become. You use those qualities to discover what's haunting the school. On your way looking for tracks at the scene, you inadvertently befriend odd people. Since then, you realize that you are arriving at the end of everything, and you are also aware that... you can't turn back.
The game focuses on the flow of the story. There will be choices that direct the game flow to various endings throughout the game. The duration of the game is up to the player to decide.

Writing this review I played both the newer and older (original) versions of the game to make an accurate opinion *.
It feels like the charm of the original game was taken away through the new version, a lot more rushed to get to point A-B rather than allow the player to focus on exploring the surroundings and understanding the story in full. I did my best to get through all achievements since I've loved the original game, but eventually the more I played the game, the more uninterested I grew.
The story was rather thrust into your hand, It was clear where you had to go, what to do basically and ... That was it, pretty much. I wasn't really a fan of the name changes for the characters, the game would have been better had the characters had their original names - I doubt It would have mattered to the international audience If they had to read Vietnamese names. Name's don't matter as long as you have a good story going on.
Was able to discover some differences in story between the two versions, such as In the original: Linh/"Neal" was blackmailed by the Headmaster, while the remake wanted to treat him like a protagonist in later few chapters and deal with Sang. It may have been an attempt to show more story with other characters, but as mentioned earlier, I couldn't attach or form interest in many of these remake characters.
As other reviews mentioned, bugs are prevalent for this game. Both mobile, steam versions have a constant issue with crashing or not be able to progress without requiring some restarts.
I really want to like this game, but it seems like it is unfinished for a paid game (although it is only $1.49). The game freezes at several points like when opening the menu. There is also no "game over" screen for the first part at least- when I thought the game had frozen instead it was a game over when it stopped and went to the title screen. The story is alright so far, but the game is difficult to play because of some bugs seemingly. It seems kind of like it's unfinished/still has some issues to work out.
Seven Mysteries: The Last Page is an absolutely bullcrap of a RPG Maker horror game, okay to be honest about the story its very confusing and really dumb so I'm just going to say this story is about the mysterious incidents that has happened at this school and how it all came to be.
Now then likes, the rpg maker graphics are pretty good, nothing too complex but as you know you don't need the greatest graphics to make a great game, the levels were nice a little diverse as we explore the school.
The story its well pretty damn bad, but I will say there are some parts I liked, the characters were okay nothing really to write home about, but the three main characters were good. The multiple endings you can get I found them interesting until the last two endings and the game does have some nice gore effects. The atmosphere for the game is okay pretty spooky sometimes for first time players, now is the game scary at first yes but then you get used to it and it's jump scares.
Now then dislikes, and oh boy is there a lot to dislike about this stupid game. The story is pretty damn bad while there are some parts I did like, like I said there just too much bad in it, like some parts of the story doesn't make sense, some characters motivation doesn't make sense at all and there are so many lingering questions that are left unanswered. I also hated the ending to the game.
To give you an example which I'll be spoiling basically we find out that there is this demon that tells us that none of the school, the town and it’s people are not real and only the main character and this girl are real people, we don't know why that is, the main character thinks the demon is lying and everyone is real, but trapped in a weird time Loop dimension, but it's never resolved and he's the only one who escapes.
Also in chapter 6 the main character gets accused of murder but here is the thing the main character has only been at the school for 2 years and it makes it seem like these killings that the bad guy has done has been happening for a long time, so how come the police believe that the main character is the one doing the murders when he's only been in town for 2 years?
Here is just a sample of a character’s motivations that doesn't make sense, the principal who is like a second antagonist who helps the bad guy with his crimes at first we learned that a character tried to warn the principle to shut down the school or else disaster will happen and the principal doesn't believe it, yet later the principal agrees that the school is cursed and decides to basically go along with killing students. And that's just one of the character motivations that doesn't make sense.
The game also just ends basically I collected all these scrolls in the game to get the last trophy and get the good ending, but when I got all scrolls instead of giving me something extra for the end, it just ends, you wind up in a black room with a single door and when you exits the door it just goes to the title screen.
There are some bugs in the game, one bug is pretty much a game breaking one and it’s in the Asylum level, you see you're supposed to pick up a fire extinguisher and throw it out the window, but I used a keyboard to do that and whenever I tried to throw it out the window the game just wouldn't play the cutscene. The only way to make the scene play is to pick up the fire extinguisher and throw out the window by using the mouse and that happened multiple times whenever I try to use the keyboard instead of just the mouse.
And speaking of the Asylum level it's really frustrating at this last segment of it where everything is dark and you have to sneak around and avoid the enemies, it can be really easy to get caught. And finally the game can be really wordy what I mean is there are these minute long cut scenes that play on and on and it really pulled me out of the experience, I mean I don't mind long cutscenes, but these were just way too long and when you do get control of a character it's sometimes only for you to click on certain segments and you get another minutes long cutscene.
Okay now with that said Seven Mysteries: The Last Page is an absolutely bullcrap of a RPG Maker horror game, it does have some good parts and some good ideas, but the whole thing is just weighed down and buried with bullcrap, I honestly can't recommend this game at all even if it was free.
I got bored. There are only a few good jumpscares, and the rest is reading. It's okay I guess.
A nostalgic old school horror rpg maker game. good story coming up with the mysterious tales you usually heard before in the academy.
I remember I used to play the original game that release on the boards. that time, the game ended with the mc(tuan) in a hospital after all that damned seven mysteries.
still many flaws after released. some glitch that made u cant proceed.

Coulnd't bring myself to finish this. The game just doesn't work as an RPG, especially with these endless sessions of text over a black screen; the story intrigued me at first but everything got too boring really fast
I was streaming this, hoping for something at least somewhat entertaining and decent. What I got was a long, drawn-out story that wasn't very well written, and LOTS of text over black screens.
I honestly started to fall asleep on stream I was so bored. Interesting initial idea, but very poor execution.
Overall Summary
This choice based visual novel – because that’s what this game is mostly – starts a bit confusing because of the time loopings and lack of information. But then it gets interesting with a deep and well written wholesome storyline, centering about a guy (Neal) whom left his friend (Sang) alone when his friend needed him the most. Finally there are a few endings possible, each of them somewhat confusing.
Overall I did like the main story, in particular the wholesome parts where Neal talks about his past friendship between him and Sang.
Details; Pros and Cons
This game has good and interesting story, but I do want to point out there is not much space left for exploring. It comes closer to being a choice based visual novel, with lots of talking at some parts combined with suiting visualization. Despites this talking, it didn’t get boring.
The first half hour of the game you’ll experience a lot of timeline loopings, where the same story is being told from different perspective but leaving users with no idea what is going on other than murders are being committed by potentially a ghost (or something). But after that you’ll start following Nathan’s story path, while the story itself gets a more a mysterious and creepy kinda vibe.
There are certain parts that I would almost suggest is hitting ‘To The Moon’ (game) lvls of storytelling, in particular the part where Neal tells the story about him and Sang being friends. Then, occasionally, there are some parts with nurses trying to capture you, which I found too hard to be enjoyable. And finally, the endings are a bit confusing.
Note: When I searched for a walkthrough for the final ending that I didn’t manage to unlock, I noticed in some walkthroughs the personas have images of themselves when they are talking. I did not have that when I played this game myself, nor did I discover any public available printscreen-shots on this platform that shows such a thing. I suspect this might be due either a bug or because most walkthroughs are playing this game on an older version that isn’t being played on Steam. Either way, I combined images of the main personas here to give you guys an idea how the they look like – for those whom are interested:

This game isn't very good. The plot is bland and you expect it from the start. It has a clever structure but it doesn't make up for the lacking story. The narration is boring and really never learned to key rule "show don't tell" and it's so bland in tone I cannot get invested. Those are only the story based complaints I have about the game. Technically it's a mess too. It's near impossible to see at times either because it's too bright or too dark. I couldn't explore because I couldn't see much and ended up clicking all over the place to try not to miss anything. And I did. It got to the point were I found myself stuck repeatedly getting the same bad ending and I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to change it. I spent a good half hour clicking like hell but still got nowhere. I noticed some people had to restart their game because of issues like this. That's when I realized that I don't even care enough to start again and waste another two hours of my life. The game claims to have choices but I only ever got one and I got stuck with the same bad ending no matter what I chose. This game is a hard pass. All you do is click mindlessly with nothing to engage you in the story or the mechanics.
I cannot recommend this game. Find something better that suits the rpg horror genre better.
I recommend to people who like spooky puzzle games with a lot of story behind them.
I played the first game years ago and enjoyed it thoroughly. This experience was awesome, expanding so much on the original, adding a huge amount of depth to the characters, creating whole new parts and mechanics. The new dynamic effects were really cool too, the explosion and shattering glass wowed me.

The only thing I'm eh about is the name changes, but that's just because I'm sentimental and really liked the name "Tuan" for some reason.
I would have preferred this game to be either a visual novel or allow you to connect the story together through small flashbacks through out the entire game.....where you actually get to play the character. You aren't really allowed to explore much, the game corrals you to a few areas that you can go....so it's kind of hard to get lost.......and then....about 2 thirds of the game....is a long sappy story that takes forever to get through.
I'm ALL for visual novels, story rich games, wordy games, etc....but you don't really....CARE about any of these characters. At least I didn't, because you only start to learn them when you get trapped in a flood of repetitive story.
The most exciting part of this game was trying to hide from a few guards field of vision....It's not very "scary"....It's somewhat predictable, there are other games out there with a very similar story line. The effects are kind of cool considering its a RPG maker, classic style game...however this was very much a waste of time. I'm sorry
To those of you that liked this game, good for you -- and good for the creator, because they need your encouragement to keep making games....
I think whoever made this game has potential---but I would consider this an experimental piece to show off scenes from.
Disappointing to be honest, like a lot of games and movies nothing like the feature/clip shown. Very short, kept getting load errors at the end of the game which I had to keep clicking through before Alt/Ctrl/Deleting to get out of it and shut it down. Damn shame as the other reviews had built up my expectations and I do like these games for a change of pace, seriously get it if it's free it's not worth the price other wise sadly.
I played the original version of this game (the normal RPG maker one) as well as the other rpgmaker games by this developer a few years ago and enjoyed them. However, when I thought I would enjoy this (after getting it on sale), I was mistaken. The game keeps freezing over and over to the point that it is obnoixous. It's not even the same place every time. I'll reload the game it it will go a few lines further in dialogue and then, boom, another freeze. I'm not even an hour in yet and I'm up EIGHT already. Fucking ridiculous.
I checked the news and patches for the game already to see if that was the problem, and yes I'm on the 2.0 version (which says it fixed those problem; obviously it didn't).
To anyone who was still on the fence about buying this one, go to the rpgmaker forums and just download the original version for free. It's not as pretty and the audio isn't as nice, but at least you can actually play it and enjoy it.
If you're looking for a "classic" horror RPG like Mad Father, or you're into supernatural stories, then this game is for you. I can compare it to The Crooked Man by its dark mood and shortness of bad endings, and to Misao by its base story and blood factor. The horror factor is for the atmosphere, not for the jumpscares or something like that. And some of the scenes are specially animated, which is great.
It was interesting until the first bad ending, but the plot twist is revealed quite quickly anyway. Don't expect brillance from it!

The atmosphere of this game is really creepy. The visual effects are seriously great! The storyline is good also. To all old school horror games fan, this game is a MUST.

Even though with a cheap price, the game comes with great visual art, nice sound effects that created the creepy atmosphere, as well as a deep story coming along with a plot twist in the end in order to make the players think about the story more after finish it. The only thing I would complain is it doesn't have much or any puzzle to solve. But overall, I did enjoy the game a lot.
i've played the old seven mysteries 4 years ago and I thought i was the master of this good old horror rpg game... I couldn't have been more wrong. The twist and turn i thought i knew is now not so familiar, the story i thought i knew... well i knew nothing at all. The graphic, the music, the entire story and some easter eggs arre trully amazing. So even if you've played the old seven mysteries. This seven mysteries: the last page will definitely blow your mind
Classic old school horror game, not too scary but enough to creep me out. Haven't finshed it yet, but so far so good.
And a really cheap price, so this game is totally worth it!!
