Sometimes u just wanna rip a guy in half, and this game's good for those times.
This is also one of the few games that gets more fun the harder it is, so I'd recommend trying out nightmare on it.
step 1. install game, step 2. play, step 3 kill demons, yes this game is good so get it
Game runs so smoothly you start to question what's wrong with it. Id tech is the real deal
The only thing you need to know about this game is that the longer the Icon Of Sin is on Earth, the stronger it will become.
buggy as fuck cant make my mouse leave the screen without closeing the whole ass game sound keeps fuckin up
i love doom but this aint worth it
This game is a solid 7/10, with an underwhelming final boss fight but a good journey to get there. They definitely build up the hype of the Doom Slayer which is what I was expecting from this game, and give us more than enough lore to keep us interested with Infernal Pages.
The game-play loop is top-tier and addicting. I played on Hurt Me Plenty difficulty, not UN, but I would say that there was only one enemy that I found especially annoying and that was the Archvile because he acted like a buff-totem and spawned hordes of demons. This was balanced out with some later game unlocks, especially The Crucible Blade. As for the Unmakyr, I didn't use it for the entire two runs I did.
This game is awesome. Very fast paced - almost too crazy sometimes. Built a new PC and started playing it again. Now I'm blown away at max settings and 180 fps.
Doom Eternal - Yes, I would heartily recommend it, it's a great improvement on everything from Doom 2016.
However, the DLC is horrible and overpriced, with overlong fighting stages, ridiculous enemy additions, poor vision in stages, and painfully unfair and unreasonable platforming segments.
Doom Eternal is the next evolution in fast paced single player shooters.
Beyond fantastic to play, UT2k4 reboot when please? Oh wait, the dumpster fire company owns that one...
It's good, just a lil too stressful sometimes, but ig thats a part of this game
The first 3 levels are very good , unique levels.
The rest of the game is mindless running from the beginning to end , some platforming , boring arenas , occasional uninteresting boss with forced mechanics.
The weapons went from differently designed weapons for various combat situations in different games to basically the same weapon with a different skin.
The gameplay loop is boring . The weapons have barely any ammo to go around so the optimal play is to just keep switching them , no reasoning behind , just switch , shoot , switch , shoot .
Despite the variety of enemies , the combat is frustrating , and the worst offender is the demon who keeps creating energy shields , because they're instant and the hitbox can stop you from moving , make you miss a jump or just kill you if you get stuck in a pathway with more dangerous enemies . In contrast , Hellknights , Cyberdemons and even the new Marauders are a joke because you can essentially melt them in half a second.
Infuriating small rooms full of mobs, extremely annoying and confusing level-design and a TON of small little bugs here and there make this game a serious rage-fest to play. It's even hard to see where you need to go.
What a fall from grace from the 2016 Doom. Brave to try something new but this ain't it. Rage-inducing to play.
Doom Slayer hit the gym after Doom 2016. Unfortunately (or fortunately), the demons roided out. The main campaign was fun. The DLCs are great challenges, but my only complaint is the newer enemies felt more tedious than fun. I might just be mad cuz bad. Haha.
Good, replayable, plenty of post-story content, two solid DLCs, this DOOM truly is ETERNAL
veryyy nice but it would be better if there wasn't a puzzle between every fight
DOOM Eternal overall 7/10
Gun play 9.5/10 - Fantastic variety and fantastic way to acquire ammunition!
Gun upgrade system 9.5/10 often found around the map and provides a unique change to gunplay.
Movement 9/10 - An overall improvement on the DOOM (2016) however it's set to show its age (based on newer indies.
Map design 7/10 worse than DOOM (2016) but not by much, elevation is used but not in it's favor.
Parkour / Gun-play / key-hunting. These do not mix at all! you are doing one or the other that's it. to attempt was made!
Soundtrack was amazing but lacking compared to the DOOM (2016) version! However i assume we all know why by now.
Mick was treated so bad it makes me wonder how bad the devs were treated while they were forced to crunch due to mis -management due to the incredibly poor timeline. these issues are easy to fix with an apolagy to mick followed up by sending him a check reflecting his tallents but if management can't manage a simple game obviously the money is long gone by now.
If you're okay playing a amazing game that was managed by people who are victums of circumstance since they are forced to oversee video game production that they lack the competence to do to put food on their table than it is fun, but ONLY on sale for around $5 max hopefully less like i got mine.
One of the best Christian game with much Christian values since Doom (2016). Very ETERNAL.
Just Play DOOM ETERNAL if you got problems in real life.
Awesome gameplay, badass demons and OP Doomslayer
Doom Eternal is a masterpiece of fast-paced, brutal, and visually stunning first-person shooter gameplay. The game's diverse arsenal of weapons, combined with its pace and strategic resource management, creates an exhilarating and challenging experience.
The game's levels are visually stunning, each offering unique and breathtaking environments that depart from the familiar colours of Hell and Mars. The gore system is both visceral and satisfying, with demons disintegrating and exploding into chunks of flesh as they succumb to your attacks.
The boss battles are epic encounters that require careful strategy and quick reflexes. Each boss presents a unique challenge, forcing players to adapt their tactics and fully utilize their arsenal. Unlike its predecessor, Doom Eternal offers a significantly higher difficulty curve, demanding mastery of its mechanics and weapon systems.
Finally, the game's soundtrack, composed by the legendary Mick Gordon, is a masterpiece of heavy metal that perfectly complements the intense and chaotic gameplay. Doom Eternal is a must-play for any fan of the franchise.

game is alright, puzzles is not fun and created only to drag the game longer, dlc ancient gods 2 is glitched so i wasnt even able to complete it, started out pretty good then game got repetitive after the first 10 hours ? its a dumb game honestly get at discount
my grandma (god rest her soul) was a very heavy catholic. i, on the other hand, am not. however, i loved my grandma very much, and if she saw me slaughtering demons she would be very proud of me.
Absolutely amazing game, great gameplay, amazing design with the monsters, the boss, etc, overall it's amazing. I would 100% recommend this game to fans of the DOOM series, and fans of the FPS games.
The Good
DOOM Eternal is an amazing game with many improvements over DOOM 2016.
Some of the improvements are dramatic, like the grappling hook.
Some of the improvements are more subtle, like the extra life system. That is a feature I wish DOOM 2016 had for Ultra-Nightmare, because that game had some stupidly easy ways to die (such as platforming.).
The Bad
However, DOOM Eternal does suffer from featuritus. For an action game, there are one too many abilities and cooldowns to juggle, and the collectibles and mini games start to get out of hand and feel some other genre.
A key part of DOOM DNA is minimalism, yet DOOM Eternal is all about excess.
Another issue is while ratcheting up the resource juggling and healing bursts does add occasional depth to the gameplay, much of the time it encourages a brute force play style, becoming less about tactics and more about muscling through the damage from one heal to the next.
And then there there's the Marauder. If an enemy is so out of place that it can only work if it has immunity to nearly every major combat mechanic in the game (including shooting), that is a poorly designed enemy. Throw game breaking jankiness into the mix and you have possibly my most hated game enemy.
Summary
I would love to have a game that was somewhere in the middle of DOOM 2016 and DOOM Eternal.
really fun, but make sure u have a good pc or it will be to laggy to run
A Thrilling Ride: A Review of DOOM Eternal (2020)
DOOM Eternal, the highly anticipated sequel to DOOM (2016), takes everything fans loved about the series and amplifies it to a level that is truly breathtaking. From its explosive combat to its breathtaking visuals, DOOM Eternal is an exhilarating experience that sets a new standard for first-person shooters. Here’s why it deserves all the praise it’s received.
1. Mind-Blowing Combat
At the heart of DOOM Eternal is its fast-paced, visceral combat. The developers at id Software have crafted an experience that’s both deeply satisfying and endlessly engaging. The game encourages an aggressive playstyle, where you’re constantly on the move, dodging, jumping, and firing at enemies from all angles. There’s no room for slow, methodical play here – it’s all about momentum.
What really sets the combat apart from other shooters is the way it forces you to think on your feet. Each enemy type has its own behavior and weaknesses, and the game gives you the tools to deal with them in unique ways. The chainsaw provides a brutal, ammo-restoring kill, while the flamethrower is perfect for dealing with fodder enemies and adding extra damage to tougher foes. The combat loops are smooth, satisfying, and constantly evolving as you progress, with new weapons and abilities introduced at just the right moments to keep things fresh.
The Glory Kill system, where you can perform brutal finishing moves on stunned enemies, is an excellent way to add a satisfying rhythm to the combat. It’s visceral, it’s aggressive, and it’s empowering. Add in the variety of weapons like the Super Shotgun (with its Meat Hook attachment) and the rocket launcher, and you have a deadly arsenal at your disposal that feels as good to wield as it does to use.
2. Incredible Visual Design
The visuals in DOOM Eternal are absolutely stunning. The game runs on a heavily optimized version of id Software's id Tech 7 engine, and it shows. From the terrifyingly grotesque demon designs to the stunning, detailed environments, every visual element is designed with a high level of care and precision. The art direction here is a standout achievement.
The game’s levels are diverse, from hellish landscapes to high-tech military bases, and each one is packed with secrets, challenges, and layers of depth. The level of detail is insane, and the amount of world-building through environmental storytelling is impressive. You’ll often find yourself stopping for a moment just to take in the scenery, something you might not expect from a game focused so heavily on intense combat.
The lighting and atmosphere are also masterfully crafted. The game’s lighting is dynamic, casting dramatic shadows that enhance the mood and tension during combat. Whether you're exploring the towering, doom-laden structures of Hell or an abandoned base on Earth, the visual design adds an immersive layer to the gameplay experience.
3. Engaging Story and World-Building
While the DOOM series has never been known for its narrative depth, DOOM Eternal brings an unexpected level of lore and world-building to the table. The story, which revolves around the Doom Slayer’s quest to stop the demonic invasion of Earth, is rich with details and history. You get glimpses of the ancient history of the Doom Slayer, the origins of Hell’s demons, and the larger cosmic struggle that has been taking place for millennia.
The game also introduces characters like the mysterious "Seraphim" and the recurring antagonist, the Khan Maykr, whose motives gradually unfold over the course of the game. The cutscenes, while few in number, are powerful and add weight to the stakes, giving you a reason to care about the world you're fighting to save. This is a notable improvement from the previous entry, where story elements were largely relegated to background details.
4. Unmatched Sound Design and Music
The soundtrack of DOOM Eternal is a work of art. Composed by Mick Gordon, the music in this game is an absolute force. The heavy metal-infused soundtrack perfectly complements the fast-paced, aggressive gameplay, with thundering guitar riffs and pounding drums that get your blood pumping.
The sound design across the board is excellent, from the deep growls of demonic enemies to the satisfying sounds of gunfire and explosions. It all comes together to create an audio experience that is as immersive and intense as the gameplay itself.
5. Challenge and Replayability
DOOM Eternal is a challenging game, but in a way that feels rewarding rather than frustrating. The difficulty settings are perfectly balanced, allowing players to push their skills while still having access to a variety of assists for those who want a more relaxed experience. The game never holds your hand, and that's part of what makes it so gratifying when you finally overcome its many obstacles.
Additionally, DOOM Eternal is packed with secrets, upgrades, and collectibles that will keep you coming back long after you’ve completed the main campaign. The challenge runs, which task you with completing a set of combat scenarios in a given time limit, offer an extra layer of replayability for those looking to test their skills.
6. Seamless Movement and Platforming
Unlike its predecessors, DOOM Eternal adds a surprising amount of platforming to the mix. The game introduces mechanics like wall-running, dashing, and climbing, which work perfectly with the high-speed combat. These platforming elements provide additional layers of depth, allowing you to traverse the environment in new ways and keep you constantly engaged.
The fluidity of movement is exceptional. You can seamlessly go from blasting enemies to leaping across platforms without missing a beat, and it feels natural. This addition might not be for everyone, but for those who enjoy the variety it brings, it is a welcome and exciting change.
Conclusion
In conclusion, DOOM Eternal is a masterclass in modern game design. It takes everything that made DOOM (2016) great and expands upon it in every way. With its intense combat, jaw-dropping visuals, engaging story, and heart-pounding soundtrack, it stands as one of the most exciting and satisfying first-person shooters ever made. Whether you're a longtime fan of the series or a newcomer, DOOM Eternal is an absolute must-play experience that will leave you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
Unfortunately, while the game is good, I can't recommend any id software game while Marty Stratton still works there. Google what they did to Mick Gordon if you don't know what I'm talking about.
hell no its a platformer trash i died to the jumping trash more than the hords of enemys dont play or buy unless its free
good shooter game fun to play and cool mechanics. worth the money!
I prefer the first game for its originality and honestly the metal was way better as well as the slayer felt like you actually became more powerful the more you played and upgraded your charector. this game focuses on chain combos and a lot of weapon switching, which would be fine but ammo goes way too quick and the enemies are only weak to certain weapons with the addition of hitting their weak points with those weapons. it can be very frustrating at times. this is faster paced than the last doom game and i dont know if thats a good thing the last game was chaotic in a good way this one feels scatter brain trying to switch to a good weapon for an enemy type then being side lined by another type. 7/10 where as the first would easily have been 10/10 for this type of game
Great game, the mechanics are pretty neat although the puzzles are a bit tricky but overall a good game.
maybe just me but game freezes at random and the only way to fix it is to restart the computer. happens every 4~5 hours of gameplay.
otherwise great game
Double Bangin'
Hope they tone down the platforming next time though. Felt needless more often than not, and ruined the pacing early on. I've noticed this gets better as the campaign continues, however.
They had to try hard to make it this bad. Its not Doom. It's a puzzle jumper. With required Bethesda login, and DRM. Stay away.
Some of the most fun I've ever had. Would definitely recommend playing if your device can handle the game.
amazing,13 euros well spent. Please buy this game its amazing,u will regret not buying it when its cheap minimum 10 euros, its very fun
its just a really good game
i dont even like fps games but the doom franchise and especially doom eternal is just good
I finished the story and dlc of the doom eternal game, but the game is good, but the puzzles, I don't know what, are a little annoying to me, that's why this game is good, but I would be very happy if they don't add such nonsense, it's the same classic doom, nothing has changed, go here, go there, what is this, I swear I'm tired of it, it's constant. But I really haven't seen such a nonsense thing, at least we finished the game, that's enough for us.
ever feel frustrated and angry? Well, this game helps you with that. Imagine you are Doomslayer and you fight those demons inside your head. That's one way to enjoy the game. Amazing soundtrack by Mick Gordon, fits perfect. Worth the money.
the combat is different from most games but once you get into the hang of things its one of the best shooters on steam
its a great sequel, but the first one WAS better. now, might be hard to match that since the first one was quite amazing, but i feel it should still be pointed out and i heard the multiplayer is good, just never tried it. its a good buy, i just wish it added more to the game compared to the first one or more different stuff in your arsenal.
Doom Eternal: A Symphony of Violence
Doom Eternal is a masterpiece of relentless action, a symphony of violence that pushes the boundaries of the first-person shooter genre. As the Doom Slayer, you are unleashed upon the hordes of Hell, armed with an arsenal of devastating weapons and abilities. The game's combat is a frenetic ballet of death, where you must strategically utilize your arsenal to chain kills and trigger devastating finishers.
The game's level design is meticulously crafted, offering a variety of environments that are both visually stunning and tactically challenging. From the hellish landscapes of Earth to the demonic realms beyond, each level is a playground for destruction, filled with secrets, collectibles, and hidden paths. The game's pacing is relentless, with constant waves of enemies pouring in from all directions. You must stay on your toes, adapting to the ever-changing battlefield and utilizing every tool at your disposal to survive.
Doom Eternal's soundtrack is an adrenaline-fueled masterpiece, perfectly complementing the chaotic action on screen. The game's sound design is equally impressive, with every gunshot, explosion, and demon scream contributing to the immersive experience.
While Doom Eternal is a demanding game, it rewards mastery with a sense of pure, unadulterated power. As you progress through the game, you'll unlock new weapons, abilities, and upgrades, allowing you to customize your playstyle and dominate the battlefield. The game's difficulty curve is challenging but fair, providing a sense of accomplishment as you overcome each obstacle.
In conclusion, Doom Eternal is a must-play for any fan of first-person shooters. Its relentless action, stunning visuals, and addictive gameplay make it an unforgettable experience. If you're looking for a game that will push you to your limits and leave you breathless, Doom Eternal is the answer.
If you like a challenge, badass demons, and big FUCKING guns... You're gonna like this game. I know I do
Good music album. It even comes with a completely free game with story and great gameplay, this is definitely worth it.
Amazing game, Loved the movement, graphics and soundtrack
I think DOOM ETERNAL is the best DOOM game ever made. I think you can tell by the game play that this game has the best graphics that you will probably ever see in any of the DOOM games. I think i would rate this A 10 out of 10.
So far i think this is my #1 DOOM game.
I got an F in a test so i decided to play this game. I snapped out of the psychosis to realise it was actually my class i was slaying! very good would reccomend.
Fun game, but this piece of shit game has this stupid ass problem where it will black screen when you boot up and cant do anything about it. Ive watched every video to fix it and followed many Reddit but I literally cannot play the game at all after buying it :|
Yeah not much needs to be said, this game is legendary in every aspect. If you have pent up rage that you need to take out, this is the game to do it.
but absolutely FKKKKKK the devs for screwing over Mick Gordon. That's really the only unforgivable thing about this franchise.
