A pretty fire game, would recommend if you enjoy rhythm games, sometimes it is difficult but fun to try! Even without Muse Dash Plus!!!

Fun and cute rhythm game. A lot of the songs slap if you appreciate J-pop. The base game is very cheap and there's a lot of fun to be had, might pick up the DLC.

I'm usually awful at rhythm games and could never enjoy them because of that, but this one is the first one I have ever played where I have fun on every single stage because of how much easier it is for me to grasp!

honestly, this is pretty fun to play and some of the songs are good too! I just wish that 60% of the game content was stuck behind a paid DLC. I wish it would go on sale sometime soon!!

Muse Dash acts like a demo to the full game. I'd recommend only buying it with Muse Plus to unlock the full game.

Best Rythm game in the world. I love the Collabs especialy the Arknights ones. All the Artworks are super cute and funny. And all the Characters with their unique skills are super fun to play.

Fun but it really sucks the DLC is so expensive, you're limited to not many songs while the DLC includes 500+. Why is the base game $4 but the DLC is $40? It's dumb. For that reason I can't recommend it

Not having Just As Planned or Muse Dash+ makes me sad. When I get it I will do a 100% speedrun that will take longer than a month.

Devs delisted DLC that unlocked everything from past, present and future updates because it was "too good of a deal" and replaced it with just as expensive DLC that doesn't unlocks everything and has fine print saying some DLC might be excluded from the deal and require extra payment in-game.

Great rhythm game. Lots of music with the DLC pack. I just tend to put it on random and play for a few hours. It scratches that itch of giving you a decent music game, without the complexity of other rhythm games.

It is fun. The sight reading was way cleaner then I expected + most of the layouts for notes are enjoyable

Leaving a recommendation here cos this is my fav rhythm game up to date! It's so fun, intuitive and satisfying to get better at! It's so very easy to pick up but still has enough depth to have you come back and practice long-term. I did suck at first but I developed a 4-button strat for controller that works for me. Can't really say how the experience is for other input devices. As a bonus the song selection is great, the catalog HUGE and the characters are cute. Much love to the devs

This game is honestly so much fun and so addicting!!! The game is so colorful which I love, the art style of the characters and the other featured art is so unique, playful and incredible, the characters look super cool (some outfits are a bit revealing and suggestive tho), and the gameplay is so much fun! The controls are super easy to understand but the game is so much fun to play, and it's nice to try out the more difficult modes like master mode because certain songs can be really challenging, but it's a fun challenge! ( • ̀ω•́ )✧ Personally, hard mode is the perfect in between of a difficult but still fairly easy mode to play! The environments that you play in are also super cool, there all different from each other and very unique! ^^ Also personally I LOVEE The Music in the Game!! The music is mostly what I'd called Kawaii EDM! Basically very happy and hyper techno music, but there are still songs that are slower and calmer ^^ For me, EDM and techno music is my favorite so I love this game so much for that, but the game really lacks any other genres that aren't techno related, so that's the only downside I'd say for certain players, but if you love cute EDM and hyper music, this game is definitely for you! (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶) Overall, I think this is an AMAZING game!! <33 There are a TON of songs to choose from, and there's even DLC that you can buy that Unlocks way more DLC exclusive characters and over 500+ songs! The only thing is that the DLC is regularly $35, which is $32 dollars than the actual game itself, so I'd say it's very expensive, but it's a nice way to really support the creators of the game and to unlock a bunch of new stuff! So if you REALLY love the game, I recommend getting the DLC as well! Like I said earlier, overall I think this is an amazing game and it's honestly so fun and addicting to play! <3

officially passed 100hrs, i have 236hrs on my switch, so i feel confident enough to say that i have fallen into addiction. everything about this game is so good, but that might just be my brain turning into mush after spending hours upon hours tapping buttons like my life depended on it. one of the most addicting rhythm games ive played. the art is perfect as a nice little treat.

I will say use the options the game gives you to remove certain loading screens if you want to play this game around other people.

I didn't hate Muse Dash, but my thumb is down on the principle of game pricing alone. The fact that the base game is $3 is really deceptive because if you want to experience most of the content this game has, you need to shell out $35 for the DLC, and that feels really insidious not making that crystal clear. If the game itself was listed at $40 and it included all the DLC content with it, I would be singing a different tune, I enjoyed my time playing what little content was available with the base game, but the fact that you have to pay over $30 more to experience everything and the fact that isn't clearly communicated before you buy the game is why my thumb is down.

I don't play a huge amount of rhythm games but I like this one. It's cute and fun, I don't really have much else to say.

Muse Dash is a game where you just only need to press two buttons (or more, if you want to). It's pretty simple, yet, captivating. The game can be easy at first, but will be progressively harder if you try higher levels. This game has a lot of good musics in the game, and they're pretty catchy, too. If you think the musics are still less and not enough to you, you can get Muse Plus DLC (Yeah, it's too pricy for a game that is less than 3 dollars, I know, but you can get it, if you want).

Also, the visual art style is also pretty good. I like how sharp and bright the game is. And the characters - man, they are cute and pretty. I mean, who wouldn't like cute girls? Muse Dash has three main characters, they are Rin, Buro, and Marija. Each characters have their own skills to help with your gameplay. Oh, and also, this game also has pets, sorta. They are called Elfins. Each Elfins have different skills that can help you throughout the game. Just remember to match your character and Elfin wisely.

This game is not about getting better by keep playing different musics. You must train to be better at one certain music, and it's okay. Training and getting better at one or more musics consumes time. Just remember to give your eyes some rest and take a break, because you deserved it, and possibly will improve your reaction(?)

Over all, I like this game. Pretty easy to follow, just taking a lot of time to get used to. I would reccomend this to you who like rhythm games and maybe newbies. Just remember, this game also has suggestive themes ;)

Nice rhythm game. It's simple to get with it's 2 button gameplay that can get reaaaaally difficult in harder modes.
The music is pretty good in general and there's lots to choose from a game at such a cheap price.
If you like rhythm games and Eastern music, this is a good one.

Personally, I love the game, it's easy to learn the controls, characters are cute even if they're in suggestive poses/clothing and illustrations are pretty neat.

However, the game has a few flaws, or things I kind of complain about:
-The notes blend in well with the background, I'm not sure if you can fix that but it's shitty either way
-You need to buy a DLC to fully unlock the game (why are 90% of the songs behind a paywall wtf)
-Those 'ghost' notes annoy me even if I don't lose my combo if I miss one lol

Do those stop me from playing the game? Nah, I will come back to it from time to time
(Also I find it funny that most of the people who bought this game are for the boobs)

I've put over a hundred hours into Muse Dash so far, so I guess I should review it.

It's good. Buy it. Play it. Yes.

Its fun and difficult, I only wish that most stuff wasn't locked behind a pay wall, I guess most games like this have that though so I don't mind.

I’ve been playing Muse Dash on mobile and recently switching to steam. it’s so fun! It’s a rhythm game where you tap to the beat while avoiding obstacles. The music is awesome, and the art is super cute. It’s easy to pick up but gets pretty challenging, especially when you unlock more songs and characters. Definitely recommend giving it a try if you’re into rhythm games! I recently got caught up and bought the Muse Plus!!! (;

Game is definitively fun for a rhythm game and it has all kinds of collaborations and events that add new music to the game and plenty of new tracks to buy once in awhile but for base game has a lot and it's definitely worth it now if you want more suggest you get the muse plus dlc that's add more

Got the game for less than a dollar and it's pretty good. It's got good music and cute anime girls. My one complaint is the Muse Plus dlc being $35 ($22 when on sale), but judging from how much content is unlocked I like to think it's worth it (when it's on sale of course).

It's just too brain dead easy and boring. Also seeing the same 4 stages and same colors/enemies isn't fun. Why can't I play MASTER difficulty immediately? Hard is easy and easy is tortously easy. I like that you can gain infinite levels and there's tons of content but it's been years and not much quality of life or content beyond songs

I love this rhythm game, because this game with simple mechanic, but some level like master or hard or higher level was hit so different. And I'm really enjoying this ^^

this game is awesome but if you're gonna play it you should def get the dlc it ames it 10x better imo

it would be a fun game if it didnt crash at loading screen or every 5 songs. i also find it extremely creepy how this game has characters who look 12 years old and younger in very sexually suggestive/revealing outfits, thats ignoring the amount of excessive fanservice with the main cast

it's fun. i like the artstyle and how colorful it is i just wish it didn't have so much fanservice/sexual stuff

this is easily a 7/10 rhythm game. the gameplay is unique, most comparable to taiko (although getting 100% MD achievements hasn't made me better at osu!taiko lol).

there's a bit of a language barrier, and some of the menus aren't translated. it doesn't affect the gameplay, but it means you might sometimes be confused as to how to unlock something.

i recommend this game if you already know you like rhythm games, otherwise there are maybe better ones to start with. if you play MD for a while and like it, consider buying the MD+ dlc, too.

Well...Muse dash is a vibrant and fast-paced rhythm game that combines energetic music with side-scrolling action. The game features a colorful anime girls with an overwhelming amount of fanservice and sexualized characters, which might not appeal to everyone but if u like games like that ..u will enjoy it. Despite that, the gameplay is incredibly fun, smooth, and addictive, with a great variety of songs and difficulty levels. The visuals are flashy and the character designs, while provocative, are undeniably stylish and well-animated. If you're into rhythm games and don’t mind the y anime girls aesthetic, Muse Dash is definitely worth trying:)

it's a very good game but most of the content is closed by a fucking 10$ dlc

So listen — I downloaded Muse Dash thinking, “Oh cool, a cute little rhythm game, probably chill.” Next thing I know, I'm 50 songs deep, sweating like I’m defusing a bomb, and my fingers are moving faster than my GPA during finals week. And then BOOM — you’re in bullet hell karaoke with anime girls. Your fingers are tap dancing like they owe someone money, your eyes are vibrating trying to follow neon fruit flying at your face, and you’re 99% sure you just heard dubstep in Morse code. This game slaps — literally and musically.

The music is an absolute bopfest. One minute I’m jamming to kawaii pop, the next I’m fighting demons with dubstep. The visuals are so colorful they probably cured my seasonal depression. And the characters? Adorable. Powerful. Slightly unhinged.

Now, is it perfect? Not exactly. Sometimes the screen gets so flashy I can’t tell if I’m winning or having a small stroke. And the DLC... let’s just say my wallet started crying in rhythm too. But hey, at least the pain is synchronized to a sick beat.

Bottom line: If you like music, anime vibes, and feeling like a rhythm god (or at least a rhythm gremlin), Muse Dash will absolutely steal your time and your heart. It is chaotic, adorable, rhythm-induced madness in the best way possible. You will suffer. You will vibe. You will become one with the beat.

10/10 would button mash again.

I usually don't take the side of developers / publishers, but the entitlement some people have here is just embarrassing.
As of March 2025 the base game offers 62 songs at 3,49€ with an additional 544(!) at 32,99€ (not including future monthly updates). Due to not renewing the license, the 20 songs from the DLC packs as well as 2 characters are now unobtainable for anyone that didn't buy / receive them before being delisted.

I hope this clears up some of the (imo) unjustified hate the game received.

Originally Muse Dash was somewhat of a two part game. One being the "Main Game" which nowadays includes 62 songs which is available for 3,49€ (and goes on sale often to less than 1€). Needless to say this is already incredible value. As someone that plays a lot of different rhythm games, most of the have like 20 songs in their base game and cost at least 15€.
The second part was originally known as Muse Dash Just as Planned (DLC), which is essentially a pass which granted access to all future (content) updates. These updates came each month and consisted of on average 6 new Songs (with usually 3 difficulty settings). They also at times included new characters and elfins (something like a partner that grants bonus effects).
After a few years, the developers decided to rework the Just as Planned DLC. The rework consisted of pretty much removing the Just as Planned DLC and instead adding a replacement DLC called Muse Plus. IN ADDITION to the monthly updates, the game now was supposed to have additional DLC Packs, which consisted of high profile (usually also meaning high licensing cost) songs from well known artists.
People that had already bought the Just as Planned DLC would get these additional DLC packs for free, as this DLC was advertised to include all future updates.
People that haven't bought the Just as Planned DLC, would need to buy Muse Plus for the monthly updates, as well as the additional DLC packs. These DLC packs had 10 new songs, at least a new character and cost 7.79€ (0.78€ per song, not valuing the character, which is really cheap compared to most other rhythm game dlc songs which cost ~2€/song).

Of course there would be people complaining about it, because they wouldn't get stuff for free that other people do.
With the (mostly Chinese) community being in a complete uproar, the game was flooded with negative reviews and the developers even received death threats over it.

In the end the developers retracted their approach with the Muse Plus DLC now offering the same as the Just as Planned DLC did and releasing no more extra DLCs.
So to conclude, Muse Plus buyers get the same they had (monthly updates) and Just as Planned owners still get the monthly updates, but no more free DLC.
So to be precise, because people complained, we now receive less content, because the DLC packs, which were additional to the monthly updates, got cancelled.

I am SPEECHLESS.
everything is just so good! the game itself is just a dollar exluding the dlc. A lot of songs to play, cute, colorful, different character varieties. One of the best rhythm games out there!

this game is the equivalent of what id see during a bad LSD trip while my body decomposes in a shady back alley (probably closer to the fever dream ill see after chugging down percs with a liter of smirnoff) overall a solid game I fw it heavy makes my brain melt

I dunno if it's just an issue for my computer in specific as it runs smoothly, but I'm pretty sure I'd like the game if maybe pressing something like...oh I dunno, enter, to start the level actually worked ?? Same for going to the options and opening the sound settings only to get stuck there with no way out because 'esc' won't work either. The only buttons that do seem to work is F & J; the two buttons used to actually play the game. :/

-A fun game with a great art-style and responsive crispy controls that I can't in good conscience recommend.

-Sure the price is cheap but more than half of the available songs are songs I could not care for. Having more than 75% of your catalog locked away in a predatory DLC that replaced a more reasonable former alternative is so insane that I cant even blame the playerbase for losing it. Like I get that people need to make money but why does such a popular game need to have a DLC that is ten times more expensive than its base game. I unfortunately cannot support a publisher that I, and half the playerbase can't even trust which is such a shame because even if you ignore the unnecessary gooner aspects, it is a solid game overall :/

The base game is fine for a few hours, but music variety is mediocre. Most of the game is locked behind a DLC worth 10x the price of the game, on top of not even unlocking everything there is to offer. Feels kinda predatory.
