Muse Dash

This game is as much of a blast on the PC as it is on Switch - plus there's cute girls. One of my favourite rhythm games.

Really fun game ruined by its devs. I want to recommend it to others so bad but I cannot bring myself to do it wholeheartedly. Why? Two things; the DLC and the bugs.

For context, the devs had a DLC which promised there would be “no need” to pay for future updates. An absolute steal. I guess its unsustainability finally caught up with it because they retired it 2-3 years ago. I totally understand why, but I can’t have a clean conscience knowing I just recommended a game to someone who will have to pay more for content I get for free just by being a “veteran”. If you choose to buy this game now, you’d have to pay for *every* new DLC song pack.

I’d just feel too bad! I can’t do that! And that’s not even touching upon some of what I’d consider game breaking bugs!

For even more context, every few updates makes this game completely unplayable for me. I just can’t log in, and it won’t let me play without logging in. It thinks I’m Chinese and freaks out when I’m Not (at least this is my current working theory). Can’t do anything about it, just have to wait for the next update just to see if it starts working again, really really really really really f**king annoying.

I just can’t in my right mind beg someone to play this game! I love the tracklist! I love the waifus! Their rendition of Yume Groove Coaster is the cutest damn thing I’ve ever seen in my life! It’s so cute I use her over *The* Hatsune Miku. But by buying this game you must put up with paying more and praying the game works!

Note: I know that some people can play the game despite the login bug but idk mine started freaking out and crying and shtiting itself when it couldn’t log in soooooo to each their own!

probably one of my favorite rhythm games, all the characters are really cute as well as the pets plus all of their songs are really super good. It's not too hard and not too easy, as well as it being pretty cheap.

Bought game for the game play I somewhat like rhythm games but its on little lewd side. I don't like kid characters in any game in general and this game has them kinda risque. So I don't enjoy it with my heart.
So for game play, I loved the song iyaiya the default one I only played it. it is not correct with the beats from start. Had little fun but that's it, I don't think ill play it again.

Pretty vibrant and bright. The gameplay is easy to understand, but hard to master. The song selection is okay for the base game, kinda lacking for the people who have done the entire base game catalog. The characters and pets, give some small minor addition towards the gameplay, although for some people it might be pretty significant.

Sweet game, dope aesthetic. I'm a sucker for beat games, and this doesn't miss.

This is the most gooner rythm game i've played, and yet, i've grinded the fuck out of it. Level 400+ smthg, have played for years. The maps are cool as hell, the characters look cool, and some of the songs are pretty good! Recommend if you like vocaloid music/techno:)

A cute and fun rhythm game with boobs. Great selection of songs from a lot of known artists in the scene, and the developers even hold a yearly music contest where you have the chance at getting your own work in the game (as well as as quite a few others starting from this year's). The neon aesthetic is also pretty unique among the genre and makes it a treat to look at, although the eyestrain is a bit high due to it even if you lower the brightness. The fact that there are only 2 lanes and the note sprites are pretty big also makes higher difficulty charts quite tricky to read when you're first getting used to them.

The challenge was really fun and I enjoyed every minute. The songs are catchy and the arts are colorful and cute. Sadly I'm too bad at the game to clear the higher difficulties haha ! :(

A phenomenal rhythm game. The gameplay is ridiculously fluid and fun, the art is cute, and the songs range from mostly underground indie artists you've never heard of (this is not a minus point, the devs picked some really cool songs) to some of the more typical rhythm game songs (night of nights, brain power etc.). It does come with a little bit of hindrance in having to pay 33€ for the full version but I can assure you if you liked the base version you will definitely not regret the bigger purchase.

I've got nothing to even nitpick here. Having a level editor could contribute to more playtime and a bigger fanbase but even then, over 600 different songs is plenty enough.

I think out of all the rhythm games I've played, Muse Dash would be my second favorite one, staying right behind OSU!.

Cute art style (however, I'm a cytus fan, so I exclusively use the cytus 2 characters). For the amount of songs available, the DLC was worth what I paid (one-time $40 CAD for most songs + future song packs). Operates on a simple set of rules that works well with a variety of controllers; anything with two buttons, really, assuming they can be pressed at the same time.

One downside: as with many rhythm games, do beware of flashing lights/glitchy effects. It's very built in to the chart, so a few songs were unplayable for me personally.

Like a Kawaii guitar hero. Only I found hammering a different rhythm than expected worked better than trying to play along. Even if it meant striking more keys and more often, it did work better. This leads me to believe this can be button mashed successfully for a positive result. But I have not yet confirmed these suspicions.

This was in my NSFW file, so be aware it might throw you off guard with sexual content throughout the game. As of right now, it has been pretty tame, but I plan to revisit it again later.

I would recommend this game to folks who enjoy musical interaction games like guitar hero or beat banger for the pervs. It plays similarly to the rest of it's genre.

This game is absolutely wonderful. My favorite rhythm game by far out of everything I've played. The base game alone has enough songs for the average person, even if you won't like all of them; the DLC [Muse Plus], although quite expensive, has even more at 500+ songs. I could spend hundreds of hours perfecting every song and collecting all the beautifully drawn illustrations if I had the time and money.

Now as to why this review is negative.

I'm know I'm more than half a year late, but the creators changing the DLC [Just As Planned] to the new one [Muse Plus] caused them a lot of backlash due to how it didn't give access to future songs, giving the impression of greed. They also made [Miku in Museland] and [Rin-Len's Mirrorland] purchasable separately; and removed them later, making them limited-time DLCs. While they have fixed this issue by addressing it and making the new DLC [Muse Plus] have access to all past and future songs excluding Miku and Rin and Len, that it didn't stop a lot of players from quitting all together.

While I still do enjoy the gameplay and the songs, my overall feelings with this game are mixed for now as I am sad to have seen such drama happen in this game and the removal of several beloved characters and songs. Hopefully they bring them back, but I won't hold my breath for that.

I played a bit too much of this game.
A cute rythm game with two lane and no release machanic (thank god).
I like it a lot even if I am approaching the ceilling of difficulty.
8.5/10, even after purshasing the game, you need to buy Musedash+ for the majority of the other songs. (I own JaP and I'm still disapointed of the devs even if I understand the reason)

Music's good, game's fun multiple unlockables, worth the money

Had this game for awhile, and I just played it for the first time. The base game itself is a few dollars, which is fair because you can kind of test it out to see if you like it before dishing out $30 dollars for the rest of the songs. If you like kawaii aesthetics, Japanese songs, and rhythm games, this game is most likely for you.

This game is highly addictive and makes you want to keep grinding and playing to get better. It can be very frustrating but overall it's a decent game.

Muse Dash is a fun rhythm game with charming art, an excellent soundtrack, and straightforward, addictive gameplay. The songs are catchy, and the stages offer a nice mix of challenge, but it can feel repetitive over time. Still, it's a great pick for rhythm game fans looking for quick fun. Even though the game includes DLC, the base game itself still offers a lot of content.

This is just a paid demo, if you want the full game you have to pay the 35€ dlc that btw wont have all dlcs included as they removed the old DLC for like 25€ which had all dlcs + upcoming dlcs in it

You now have to pay for every update extra and worst of all, if you wanna do Community made levels YOU HAVE TO BUY THE DLCS

cooked rythm game with only 2 keybinds, quite easy but hard to master, Takes alot of cps. and the song choices are quite good, some of them are bangers.

i like simple things, just two lines of notes but it can be challenging too, also you can customize the music by modding it, super cool

A pretty fire game, would recommend if you enjoy rhythm games, sometimes it is difficult but fun to try! Even without Muse Dash Plus!!!

Fun and cute rhythm game. A lot of the songs slap if you appreciate J-pop. The base game is very cheap and there's a lot of fun to be had, might pick up the DLC.

I'm usually awful at rhythm games and could never enjoy them because of that, but this one is the first one I have ever played where I have fun on every single stage because of how much easier it is for me to grasp!

honestly, this is pretty fun to play and some of the songs are good too! I just wish that 60% of the game content was stuck behind a paid DLC. I wish it would go on sale sometime soon!!

Muse Dash acts like a demo to the full game. I'd recommend only buying it with Muse Plus to unlock the full game.

If you like big anime titties and rhythm games this is the perfect game for you.

Best Rythm game in the world. I love the Collabs especialy the Arknights ones. All the Artworks are super cute and funny. And all the Characters with their unique skills are super fun to play.

Fun but it really sucks the DLC is so expensive, you're limited to not many songs while the DLC includes 500+. Why is the base game $4 but the DLC is $40? It's dumb. For that reason I can't recommend it

Not having Just As Planned or Muse Dash+ makes me sad. When I get it I will do a 100% speedrun that will take longer than a month.

Devs delisted DLC that unlocked everything from past, present and future updates because it was "too good of a deal" and replaced it with just as expensive DLC that doesn't unlocks everything and has fine print saying some DLC might be excluded from the deal and require extra payment in-game.

Great rhythm game. Lots of music with the DLC pack. I just tend to put it on random and play for a few hours. It scratches that itch of giving you a decent music game, without the complexity of other rhythm games.

It is fun. The sight reading was way cleaner then I expected + most of the layouts for notes are enjoyable

Leaving a recommendation here cos this is my fav rhythm game up to date! It's so fun, intuitive and satisfying to get better at! It's so very easy to pick up but still has enough depth to have you come back and practice long-term. I did suck at first but I developed a 4-button strat for controller that works for me. Can't really say how the experience is for other input devices. As a bonus the song selection is great, the catalog HUGE and the characters are cute. Much love to the devs

This game is honestly so much fun and so addicting!!! The game is so colorful which I love, the art style of the characters and the other featured art is so unique, playful and incredible, the characters look super cool (some outfits are a bit revealing and suggestive tho), and the gameplay is so much fun! The controls are super easy to understand but the game is so much fun to play, and it's nice to try out the more difficult modes like master mode because certain songs can be really challenging, but it's a fun challenge! ( • ̀ω•́ )✧ Personally, hard mode is the perfect in between of a difficult but still fairly easy mode to play! The environments that you play in are also super cool, there all different from each other and very unique! ^^ Also personally I LOVEE The Music in the Game!! The music is mostly what I'd called Kawaii EDM! Basically very happy and hyper techno music, but there are still songs that are slower and calmer ^^ For me, EDM and techno music is my favorite so I love this game so much for that, but the game really lacks any other genres that aren't techno related, so that's the only downside I'd say for certain players, but if you love cute EDM and hyper music, this game is definitely for you! (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶) Overall, I think this is an AMAZING game!! <33 There are a TON of songs to choose from, and there's even DLC that you can buy that Unlocks way more DLC exclusive characters and over 500+ songs! The only thing is that the DLC is regularly $35, which is $32 dollars than the actual game itself, so I'd say it's very expensive, but it's a nice way to really support the creators of the game and to unlock a bunch of new stuff! So if you REALLY love the game, I recommend getting the DLC as well! Like I said earlier, overall I think this is an amazing game and it's honestly so fun and addicting to play! <3

officially passed 100hrs, i have 236hrs on my switch, so i feel confident enough to say that i have fallen into addiction. everything about this game is so good, but that might just be my brain turning into mush after spending hours upon hours tapping buttons like my life depended on it. one of the most addicting rhythm games ive played. the art is perfect as a nice little treat.

I will say use the options the game gives you to remove certain loading screens if you want to play this game around other people.

I didn't hate Muse Dash, but my thumb is down on the principle of game pricing alone. The fact that the base game is $3 is really deceptive because if you want to experience most of the content this game has, you need to shell out $35 for the DLC, and that feels really insidious not making that crystal clear. If the game itself was listed at $40 and it included all the DLC content with it, I would be singing a different tune, I enjoyed my time playing what little content was available with the base game, but the fact that you have to pay over $30 more to experience everything and the fact that isn't clearly communicated before you buy the game is why my thumb is down.

I don't play a huge amount of rhythm games but I like this one. It's cute and fun, I don't really have much else to say.

Muse Dash is a game where you just only need to press two buttons (or more, if you want to). It's pretty simple, yet, captivating. The game can be easy at first, but will be progressively harder if you try higher levels. This game has a lot of good musics in the game, and they're pretty catchy, too. If you think the musics are still less and not enough to you, you can get Muse Plus DLC (Yeah, it's too pricy for a game that is less than 3 dollars, I know, but you can get it, if you want).

Also, the visual art style is also pretty good. I like how sharp and bright the game is. And the characters - man, they are cute and pretty. I mean, who wouldn't like cute girls? Muse Dash has three main characters, they are Rin, Buro, and Marija. Each characters have their own skills to help with your gameplay. Oh, and also, this game also has pets, sorta. They are called Elfins. Each Elfins have different skills that can help you throughout the game. Just remember to match your character and Elfin wisely.

This game is not about getting better by keep playing different musics. You must train to be better at one certain music, and it's okay. Training and getting better at one or more musics consumes time. Just remember to give your eyes some rest and take a break, because you deserved it, and possibly will improve your reaction(?)

Over all, I like this game. Pretty easy to follow, just taking a lot of time to get used to. I would reccomend this to you who like rhythm games and maybe newbies. Just remember, this game also has suggestive themes ;)

Nice rhythm game. It's simple to get with it's 2 button gameplay that can get reaaaaally difficult in harder modes.
The music is pretty good in general and there's lots to choose from a game at such a cheap price.
If you like rhythm games and Eastern music, this is a good one.

My favorite Rhythm game of all time. I think my playtime speaks for itself at this point. lol
