Rumours swirl that the dread Emperor Antares, once thought vanquished in the arena, has returned. They say his soul lies in wait, under the vast mountain. Will you find the Grail and destroy him, saving the realm? Or will you take his place as a new evil overlord?

I remember playing this game ages ago and loving it, but the steam version is way too buggy and basically all the bugs are game breaking. Lost so much progress even in the 30 or so minutes of playtime. Would be willing to buy the game if it got fixed, but right now definitively not worth it.

Unfortunately, very buggy dungeon mechanics
- It doesn't lean more on the classic gladiator style of gameplay and it's more like a dungeon crawler.
- You fight monsters instead of humans in the colosseum now (previously gladiator battles in classic).
- gladiator combat is now very limited and you have to progress the story to unlock more classic gladiator combat. The story is tied to the dungeon so the dungeon crawl is mandatory.
- The dungeon is very buggy. One of the worst is being frozen trying to loot something which happens very often and the only way out of it is to force close the game.
For a game centered around its dungoen-delving mechanics, it's a buggy mess and unless you have the patience, I'd advice sticking to something like Swords and Sandals 2 Redux.
The game is indeed buggy as Hell. E.g. It freezes up when selecting full screen mode and clicking anywhere outside of its intended window by accident.

glitches out often in the dungeon and during the arena champion fights which is a shame because the rest of the game is fantastic
Crashes all the time!

man this game is buggy as hell, kept having a issue of the game freezing in full-screen mode, wasn't as consistent in windowed mode but i couldn't see that tiny 720x720
also consider on never doing a magic build, most if not all AI has resistance to everything
