Fun turn based game a little baffling at first but soon worked it out. I liked the style and graphics also the combat outcome is slightly different each time but not outrageous. so reloading does not always help. The game benefits aggressive but thoughtful play and care and attention should be given to preserving core units throughout the campaign. Overall I enjoyed the game and am looking to purchase more titles from the developers.

++ Graphics looks great on older machines as well.
+ Players who like Panzer General/Panzer Corps will enjoy the syle of gameplay

-- The Undo movement button does not exist, making it easy to move a plane where you would put your tank.

          - The units have a hard time to identify enemies, and it feels like you MUST wait for your artillery to shoot the enemy, or save, attack and load as it was a much stronger enemy than you could handle, and now your elite unite died.

I think it would need a patch for these issues before I could recoment it, it has too strong competition from other games to let these go unoticed.

Yeah, got this a while back, and found the game very slow paced with a finicky mouse point interface (very easy to accidentally move a unit when you were actually trying to do a long range shot instead). I did not play it for a long while after the first attempt. Recently gave it another chance, but again decided that it does not offer much more excitement or challenge than Panzer Corps, and somewhat more tedium.

I am sure some people love it, and I am happy for them that they appreciate the developers' efforts.

I have possibly played hundreds of turned based strategy and war games since 1980. During the first three missions this game seems to fit in the mix with some pluses and minuses. The up side is the 3D graphics. Sadly, the animations get really annoying quickly. They jerk your point of view around and slow down the game. You can click past it but I would rather turn it off completely.

I like to play these sorts of games with just a beginning of the battle save. I try to only do a load if something goes terribly badly. After all, I don't know how the designers balanced the game, and I know that I am good at these games, so if I lose a unit or two in a mission, that's fine. NOPE. I played Dunkirk half way through a few times before I simply totally restarted the mission with a very different troop mix. I played a couple more times and then drastically changed my strategy. A nice victory ensued. Then comes the Battle of Britain which is almost only air power. I get about halfway through the map and only have half my air power left. No way that will get me through the last half of the map. One reviewer with over 400 hours believes it unwinnable. (edit, it is winnable as outlined below) My question for myself, do I move on to another game? Or. Do I play this game using a save every turn? Then I can move troops forward and see what happens. A unit died, replay the turn. Some games are designed to be played that way and this seems to be a game that requires it. You also need to know to have a good amount of infantry for Dunkirk. You need to have a lot of air power, both fighters and bombers, for Battle of Britain. I play games for the challenge, usually starting a level above 'normal' difficulty and working up to the hardest level. 35 hours played at this time. I guess we will find out if I go all the way.

Each map has some preset troops for your use, plus you have your troops that continue from mission to mission. You get to choose 1 of 3 commanders for your army. I chose the gent with good pluses for armor. Considering how important infantry is in Dunkirk and that you get almost only air in Battle of Britain, I think I will restart with one of the others.

Also it crashes once in awhile. Not game breaking as it auto-saves every turn.

If you buy it on sale knowing the above, you should be fine. A Panzer General sort of game. Not as good but different enough to make it okay.

          EDITED PORTION FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
I am now at 94 hours played. So I guess my thumbs down is a cautionary grade, as we can only give a thumbs up or down. I replayed from the beginning of the game through The Battle of Britain. Skip to the next paragraph to avoid any spoilers. I think I had 6 quality and 1 regular infantry at the beginning of Dunkirk, and that got me a gold rating with a number of reloads. The Battle of Britain required a few restarts. You should have a few fighters, preferably at least one of the long range variety. Probably 4 or 5 bombers. I had 2 of the higher damage and lower fuel variety, and that worked. If I was will to go back a few missions I would upgrade or not buy the shorter range bombers. At the end of the scenario I flew beyond my fuel return range and killed my targets for victory before they actually ran out of fuel. I don't know if the short range bombers can get away with that.

When you start the game it shows a title for you. Colonel I believe is the default, and that is the level I am playing at. I assume that Lieutenant is easier and General is a tougher difficulty level.

The game does crash here and there. 1 out of 3 maybe on Dunkirk?, but never crashed playing Battle of Britain.

Important note: You do not have to win every mission. You do not get the permanent victory bonus. For instance "submarines get +1 movement thanks to victory at X". If you lose, it simply moves you onto the next mission. I would guess that you could play the game on Lieutenant level and probably lose Battle of Britain, but otherwise cruise through without relying on reloads. I like to win every mission, so on Colonel level I required reloads to do that. With a double play through up to Battle of Britain I can't tell you how tough the missions are after that.

I really don't recommend buying this product or anything else from this company. I have bought this game because of pretty nice idea to make it more cinematic, atmosphere that you're really in action of WW2 and you're looking in it not as soldier but as general.

But, the game was made in 2018. Just after 2 years, author suddenly stopped giving any support to this game and just published another one game, for same price (that is fair to say pretty big for product) with same conception but improved, fixed and mostly finished. It's possible for companies to give us DLC (well, it also will be fair enough to say that modern DLC policies of companies are really annoying) that are giving you new view of the game. BUT, SELLING IT AS NEW PRODUCT AT FULL PRICE?! SERIOUSLY?! It's nonsense!

Also, who has played panzer strategy before (I mean old panzer) remember that scenarios were very various. You may experience naval battles, western company, east front, Africa and etc. Well you could play at any theater of action if you wish. In this case, we have to buy A LOT OF DIFFERENT PRODUCTS TO GAIN A FULL EXPERIENCE OF GAME!

I would like to admit, that conception of game is really good and I like it. Also, I'm always happy to support developers if I like their product. Especially I'm glad to see some really valuable product from Ukraine, but I can't agree to methods you apply guys, sorry.

All the best wishes to you.

As bad as Panzer General 3D was. And it is clearly unfinished.

I grew up on Panzer General I and II. When Panzer General 3D came out, I was very excited to see all the units come to life in 3D. What a disappointment that was. Now this game brings back the memories in a bad way.

So let us go through the bad list.

          • The voices are terrible. Like it is so bad, that I could take the first sentence from Mr H. seriously. The briefing and help is horrible as well, but at least not as bad as Mr. H.
          • Can't disable the voice. You have to listen to all the garbage on the first mission every flippin' time. No way to disable the tutorial or anything.
          • Visual mess. The units look nice (especially the planes), but so much is going on that you can't really see anything properly. Useless props on the ground makes it even worse. It hurts my eyes just looking at the map and trying to understand what the hell is going on. My own infantry unit can hide in the bushes so well, that even I can't find them.
          • No camera turning with the mouse. only with the Q and E keys (what the hell???) and it's not even smooth turning just 90 degree jumps and that's it.
          • Garbage controls. It's frustrating to move units in place, especially planes. when you select a plane and the cell you want to fly to has one of your own units, you have to make sure you click on the ground and not on the land unit as then you will select that unit instead of ordering the plane to fly there.
          • Floating text during action is annoying. And the color of it blends in with everything else, so you can't even read it properly. And they won't stay on, rather disappear after 2 seconds.
          • Unit values are unreadable. The text is small and things can obscure it.
          • Slow unit movement and there is now way to change it. Although when you click it teleports to its destination.
          • Some units don't have animations. Like the anti-tank guns just teleport from one square to another.
          • Sounds are horrendous. If the voices weren't enough then the sounds you have in the game are even worse. If you select an infantry unit you will hear boots marching constantly as the units sound. One of the most annoying things I ever experienced.
          • [*] Ugly icons and indicators. Where you have an icon to visually tell you something, you can't understand what it means. Like a white box on the ground which should be supply, because a jerrycan was to much to ask for. Or the units movement and attack indicator, two tiny green dots.

I know I could find more, but in all honesty I just stopped playing after an hour. I couldn't be bothered to finish the first mission.

The only good thing I can say is that the game has an intuitive system to buy extra modifications to units and that you have a command unit. Also the supply logistic part is great.

In a nutshell, the concept has potential and there are some really good thoughts going into it, but the execution is horrible. Clearly the game was just thrown together and there weren't any proper designers and concept artists working on it as all the visual problems it has make the whole game unplayable.

Don't buy it unless the developers do a major update and an overhaul in the visuals, interface, controls and on 90% of the game. Even if it's on sale just stay away. Far away. Go play Panzercorps instead.

In the mean time I am still going to wait for the true 3D successor of Panzer General.

I, too, am a big fan of Slitherine. I've tried to like this game; really tried. After some 30+ years of PC turn-based war games, I'm crushed at the failure this is. I've put in 23 hours, so a refund is not possible. Nor should it be. But this is awful.

The "strategy" is ludicrous. Poland...ok. France...ok. Norway...ok, sort of. Dunkirk... That's as far as I got. I tried the battle three times. My Luftwaffe, well, never mind. You cannot attack in the face of AA--the game mechanics will not allow it. The Brits bring in destroyers. After all, there were dozens of destroyers involved in the battle. The destroyers alone were harassing to my force, but not deadly. The CRUISER...didn't exist in history. It surely didn't pull up next to the port facilities and trash unit after unit of the Wermacht. I could go on, but you get the picture.

The imbalance is too much. The lack of intuitive play makes it much worse. I love Panzer Corps and am awaiting PC2 with high hopes. Order of Battle is one of the best games I've seen since table-top Avalon Hill's Squad Leader. Slitherine is doing a great job at providing games I love, but this one is not something they should be proud of.

This game is not worth your money or your time. This was truly a significant letdown for me. My apologies to the designers. Your efforts were admirable: great graphics, options, content. However, you should have left out the cutscene junk (commented on by others) and included some real insight on how a player can manage the mechanics of the game.

A few weeks back I gave the game a thumbs down & I regret that. Mainly that was cause the game is really challenging, and choosing the difficulty level didn't make much of difference. However I kept on playing to understand how it all works & it really is a great game.
One of the most important things is the Command points per turn which kept going down as I progressed. I realized that the more Core units you own the greater the penalty. I doesn't mater if you deploy those units in the battle, you will still be penalized for owning them. So stick to the the Core units you are given at the 1st map in Spain & just keep upgrading them. You almost have what you need there. Don't upgrade your JU-87 bomber as that is good for land operations, instead buy a JU-88, fit it with torpido & use it for sea operations starting from Norway.
As you move on your Commander will get promoted hence you Command points per turn will increase & as long as you don't keep adding new units to your core forces the penalty will be -12 for the military units you own.
Gold victories are a must as that will also help your command points per turn & give your HQ unit amazing skills making your HQ vehicle a formidable unit.
From the Command points you get every stage you pass, 1st buy HQ skills starting with aviation recon, then with the remaining balance upgrade your units according to your needs for the next battle.
Surely there are other ways to approach the game, but these tips are what made it possible for me to keep going.

Having played Panzer General II for thousands of hours on various mods over the years, I'd like to give my two cents for Panzer Strategy. When I first got my hands on this game in early access I almost immediately asked for a refund as I couldn't make heads or tails out of the game, it was that rough around the edges. I can say that the game has much improved since its Early Release State although there are some negative points lingering.

          Pros:

          1. If you ever enjoyed SSI's Panzer General II buy this title, this game is for you.
          2. If you like turn-based strategy game with a campaign/unit management system then you can give this game a try.
          3. This game has taken Panzer General's tried mechanics and expanded them with many nice ideas. For example, you can now buff your units at your own choice, you can buff your units with add-on equipment, your general has some nice abilities which help your overall units and so on. Supply is much more important and the AI is quite decent and capable.

          Cons:

          1. The game is glitchy and will crash with no particular provocation. So far I've played for eight hours and the game has crashed four times.
          2. The file saving system is something which I cannot easily comprehend. There are several autosaves per battle, but for some reason I can't name a save file of my own (?!). Anyways it's something which I haven't understood how it works so go figure.
          3. If you are into fancy graphics and effects then stay away, the graphics are passable at best especially when the game for some reason decides to zoom in to important action.
          4. There is an unnecessary amount of poor quality cut scenes with average voice overs. I mean, come on you guys. All you need is to replicate what PZG II did. Ah...good day herr general...excuse me...herr feld marshal...
          5. It has been said before, but there is a lot of Adolf in this game (cut scenes). Personally I don't mind, it's only a game, but if this is not your cup of tea, then you have been warned.
          6. At the moment, only Germany is playable (just an observation, neither pro or con for me).

All in all, I give this a positive vote. It's a really good idea, this is a game I have been looking for since the days of PZG II and People's General (SSI). It could certainly have been more polished and I expect that the developers will iron out the rest of the glitches. This has the potential to turn into something really cool if properly supported.

I am writing this review simply as a reply to Narcissistic Red, who rated Panzer Strategy down, then provided a link to another. In doing so, he said, "...If you truly want a WW2 RTS/RTT experience," WTH? Did you even play the game? Panzer Strategy is a TURN BASED game, not real time strategy.

If you are looking for an RTS game, don't buy Panzer Strategy - it isn't what you want.

If you are looking for a modern game similar to the old (and classic) Panzer General, BUY THIS GAME - it is what you are looking for.

Fun little game so far! I must say that I have heard the complaints about Hitler voice acting. Im a very old man. Think Hans Moleman from the cartoon show.
I was a young child born in pre-war Germany. That voice acting is spot on. This is a secret from history. Hitler sounded just like the voice actor. True story!

Normally, if I don't recommend a game, I return it, because it's usually so bad that it quickly becomes apparent I made a mistake.
I still own Panzer Strategy, and the patches are moving things in the right direction, but it's still really rough. Some of the mechanics, especially around air power, are just silly and really hard to get used to for strategy gamers.
And play it on mute. Never, ever take it off. Oh god, the voice acting. Please, devs, if you're reading this: get someone who speaks German or is at least passingly familiar with it to listen to your audio before you release the game. I don't need Hitler to sound like Colonel Klink, but I do need him to not sound like a hobo from St. Louis.

Very good in strategy style, one hundred percent idea, realistic military actions and characteristics of various vehicles, a good graphic component using the unreal engine, very good optimization and system requirements.
I recommend the game to buy

Missions in the game are recreated reliably based on historical data. To win, you have to apply all your strategy skills.

          PROS:
          + Turn-based gameplay
          + Historically authentic missions
+ Over 40 hours of gameplay
          + Over 100 pumped units
+ Appointment of the commander of the troops
          + Capture buildings

          CONS:
          - Panzer Strategy Supply

I wanted to like this game, which is similar to Panzer General, but it needs a fair bit more work before it's ready for primetime based on my play. The user intereface is a bit clutzy. Examples: (1) You can't give a save game a name of your own choosing. (2) No way to turn off autosave which tends to clutter up your save game folder with a LOT of save game files. (3) The "Restart" command for a mission doesn't appear to work and you cannot choose it, so if you want to begin again you must start from the very first Spain mission. You need to be able to begin a mission from scratch when things go wrong, without having to start from the very beginning all over again. The voice overs are not very impressive. Example: Hitler's American voice seems a bit comical and out of place. Especially when you consider that all the tip voiceovers sound more appropriately accented. I think there is potential in this beer and pretzels style strategy turn based wargame but it will be a while before it finally gets to that point.

I thought about buying this game for a long time and finally bought it! Initially, after the launch, the game pleasantly surprises with its atmosphere. A thorough description of the characters, as well as the music I also liked. After starting the training, the game first caused some kind of rejection, but then I didn’t notice how I spent about 4 hours in the game. I think if you like strategy, you definitely must try to play in this game!

          Summarize:

          Pros:
          1. Interesting plot
          2. Nice atmosphere
          3. Strategy !!

          Minuses:
          1. High price (I would like cheaper)
          2. Not quite modern graphics.
          3. No multiplayer

Play or not - decide for yourself, but I did not regret the money spent!

Panzer Strategy wants to be a better "Panzer Corps" or "Order of Battle", but in my eyes it fails. Why?
The main reason is that often luck plays a much larger role than tactical thinking. One overlooked enemy artillery or AA-gun can ruin much, because they inflict a lot of damage (and in the case of airplanes end the movement phase). Luck plays are big role for submarine-warfare, too. If one destroyer finds your U-boat its over. If not you can sink the enemy convoi with one torpedo-salvo.
For me that resulted in many, many re-loads and re-starts of scenarios.

Plus the enemy is mostly waiting for the player to act and only counterattacks locally. Enemy airplanes are often stupid enough to fly into my AA-batteries cause they never recon the area.

Another point I don´t like is the random difficulty level. For me Poland and France were quite easy, whereas Norway, Dunkirk and the Battle of Britain are very difficult. That takes away a lot of motivation after re-starts and re-loads.

Of course there are some good points as well: I really like the supply system, that you have to capture depots to get automatic supply for your units. Your troops cannot storm around the map like they wish. I also like the important role of recon units. Without them you are easily ambushed by artillery or AT-guns.
And I like it that you can equip your units with cool stuff like plundered mortars and machine guns or attach drop tanks to planes for additional range in exchange for less ammunition. But don´t get attached to your units! They are easily killed.

Graphics and sound are ok and the cutscenes were made with much enthusism. It´s a bit sad that whenever a unit is killed the same explosion happens. But that´s a very minor issue.

Conclusion: Panzer Strategy is too difficult for the casual player and too luck-based for the hardcore strategists. I therefore cannot reccommend it.

I own and play Panzer corps,Order of Battled, ive played many hex based strategy games, but me personally find this one a bit silly.

Hitlers voice acting is just garbage. infact the entire voice acting is garbage.

The tutorial is short as promised in game, but it does not explain things in detail. it explains things as you go, but sometimes its too bloody late!

It annoys me when you send a recon vehicle to find enemy units, they never always reveal themselves, so you'd think oh its fine to move on, you can move another hex past the recon vehicle and your transport will just get walloped from an enemy unit from out of nowhere.

Also a bug i found or something was not explained to me was, i purchased a unit (Bf109) Could i find it? no!
It just would not appear, i checked all the airfields, i checked my inventory and according to that, i had not purchased it, but the game had taken my points\cash!

When picking a commander with certain skills before battle, non of his skills are explained. BUT some are common sense, but i wanted to know what +2 initiative would do for my units.

This game is 80% Panzer corps, the other 20% is cut scenes, 3d graphics and some rule changes. thats it.

Its a good effort but not well executed.
Its over priced because i feel its unfinished and still needs work.

After 25 hours of gameplay having reached the Leningrad scenario I can recommend this game after all. I have to admit though that game design includes a lot of flaws needing a complete rework to provide a better game experience,

What I liked very much about the game:
          - traditional Panzer Corps/Panzer General campaign system. You play mission after mission in a campaign tree and maintain and upgrade your core units. There are also campaign branches depending on your battle results.
          - innovative customization of your units with numerous equipment is possible. Unique equipment can be conquered by fulfilling secondary objectives. Rare heroes with unique abilities can also be attached to single units.
          - interesting hq-system. Your hq is a unique command tank unit which can level up and be upgraded like other units. Your campaign results (gold, silver, bronze victories or defeats) influence how quickly this unit gains special command abilities like demanding strategic aviation or starting a blitz raid with increased movement values.
          - At the beginning of many missions you have way more starting positions to choose from than in PC/PG. Varying tactics are possible.
          - Animated cutscenes between missions. Creates a better atmosphere than PG/PC. Though the dialogues are of varying quality.
          - Unlike others I have rarely encountered crashes. There were exactly three of them during 25 hours of gameplay. One of them was serious though because it happened every time I ended the turn in a specific mission which forced me to repeat it.
          - You can recruit new units with with up to two experience stars for additional prestige cost. In PG/PC sending newly bought rookie units against experienced enemies in later phases of the campaign would lead to their inevitable and quick own destruction.

However, there are also serious problems present:
          - naval units are completely OP, totally unbalanced. Most naval units will annihiliate 1 - 2 ground units whenever they attack even after you have reduced their power to one. This needs serious rework. They should be highly efficient against other naval units but not decide ground battles completely.
          - the campaign tree includes obligatory branches and not choices like PG/PC. I would really prefer more choices here since golden victories tend to lock a significant number of missions out of your progress.
          - the campaign consists of way too many missions which do not deal with Panzer Strategy despite the title. I guarantee you that after Norway, Battle of Britain, Operation Sealion and Crete you are absolutely fed up with exclusive air battles, sea battles and naval landings. There are just not enough pure land based missions in between them to provide enough distraction. The broken naval unit problem leads to a tiresome game experience, not an enjoying one.
          - the last missions I played took me several hours each. After a while they become really tedious since you have to conquer way too many targets on relatively large eastern maps. I would have preferred more but shorter scenarios here.
          - Rommel's voice sounds like someone stuck in a big metal pipe is trying to say something . Rarely have seen such a bad sound quality tied to one person. Surprising due to the fact that all other characters voices sound normal.

There is a very good reason why Grand Funk Railroad and Kylie Minogue released a song called locomotion in the 70's and 80's (respectively). It was because it made a hell of a lot of money for Gerry Goffin and Carole King and the singer Little Eva in the 60's. It became an instant hit. It became an instant classic. It became the benchmark. So every man and his dog did a cover in the hope it would do the same for them. I mention the first two artists because at least all the others had some musical claim to fame befor trying to cash in.

Which brings us to this game. I have read a lot of good reviews on this game and wonder where the planet earth actually comes into it. Then it occurred to me....maybe they never heard of Little Eva and the incredible developement team behind her. See where I am going with this?

At least GFR added something to the song, heavied it up a bit, added their own something that still makes people go "oh yeah, OK. Groove on" even today. Kylie's version with its Stock Aitken Waterman tizzy pop rubbish, alas is "Er, what now?"

          Panzer General = Little Eva
          Panzer Corps = GFR
          Panzer Stategy = Kylie.

I put this down to explain why some developers should not be given a free pass because
developing a game takes a lot of skill and hard work and Blah Blah Blah. This is only the case if someone else didn't write it all before you. I also did it to say 'eat the wagon wheel'.

Note. For those unfamiliar 'eat the wagon wheel' was the slogan used in an advertising campaign to convey that the original is the best. Soooo.... Play Panzer General.

To the people who are trying to cash in...

If nothing else just please, please fix the fog of war. I spend a lot of time avoiding spotting zones of the enemy in these types of games and get really, really annoyed when they know exactly where my units are. especially vulnerable trucks that are out of spot range and in a damn forest for (expletive deleted) sake and they still get hammered by bombers or artillery. this is way short of panzer general 1 in its current state but could be good if they sort out the glaring errors. PS. please get someone who sounds less like an american to voice old adolf. it is just too weird. (I turned off voice and music sound 10 minutes in).

Why bother with initiative as the defender (unless artillery or a bugged unit) will allways fire first even when demoralised and running. HINT TO DEV: this is about when 'surrender' usually occurs.

Madrid. JU87A 6 hexes from any spotters. Enemy antiair unit moves to 5 hexes away (advanced 1 hex) and blows my stukas out of the air. How is this even remotely possible? Antiair unit had a spot of 1) and don't say radar.

demoralised running units of 1 strength still somehow get in first hit on a fresh attacker and always seem able to inflict at least 1 casualty on said attacker.

if you use flame thrower equiped infantry to destroy a fort in poland = "Fatal Error" CRASH. Thought this was the whole point of flame throwers.
ADD TO THAT...SEEMS IT JUST CRASHES RANDOMLY ALL THE TIME. Hey guys this is 2018 and I'm not on a comodore 64. WTF?

Enemy artillery fires counter battery BEFORE your own artillery fires WTF.
Have the game developers never heard of SHOOT AND SCOOT a common artilley tactic to avoid counter battery fire. Also an artillery unit under artillery fire is never in a possition to fire counter battery. Think about it....they are getting the snot kicked out of them. They cannot calmly set up counter batterey ESPECIALLY BEFORE THE INCOMMING FIRE EVEN ARRIVES.

The travel paths you are forced to take will simply end up infuriating you till you just stop playing alltogether, especially when you can't fly around that antiaircraft unit everyone can see. You need to allow nav points for (expletive deleted) sake or at least the option to go south before west or vice versa. Or even better a straight NE or NW or SE or SW you know just like a compas, it's not rocket science. I can not for the life of me believe that a game made in this day and age still has go across before you go down travel paths.

You have just bombed a destroyer down to 1 str. You check his stats and see he has lost SONAR and ANTIAIR (somehow his main guns are never damaged). You leave dead hulk and go after stronger targets. Dead hulk then miraculously finds your distant subs or capital ships (message SONAR flashes as if that explains everything) and proceeds to knock the living out of them. WTF.

Norway. There is no difference with an all weather bomber attacking a ship in ggod weather or rain. The calculator shows a loss/kill ratio of of 0/7 (on easy level) in both weather types and 7 or 8 kills is extremely rare, So why not just show 1/5 on the loss/kill predicto gizmo and state that an all weather bomber is equally proficient in all weather types. even if it is bucketing down. ps. That calculator gizmo is a joke anyway it may as well say 1-10/1-10 in all contests.

An enemy destroyer magically finds my ARMORED battle cruiser (with SONAR no less) and fires a couple of volleys that severly damage my ARMORED battle Cruiser. (did I mention it was ARMORED? did I mention heavy damage? that aside, the worst part was my ARMORED battle cruiser did not shoot back. Was the destroyer currently kicking the snot out of my ARMORED battle cruiser too puny to warrant my ARMORED battle cruisers attention.

When you bomb an enemy destroyer sometimes it shoots back, sometimes, Neh..why bother.

This is set in the 1940's and the developers seem to think that the electronic aids of the time were on a par with what they now see on CNN. As historically accurate as Harry Turtledove.

Cut Scenes? Really should be. Horrid and pointless. I can't believe someone on the team actually watched all of this and then signed off on them.

France. While working out my deployment I noticed that just south of brussels and Lill is a burning german armored car. Good thing they don't know we are comming.

These errors remove any reason to play a STRATEGY game as any strategy you come up with is debunked by bad programming and combat calculations. And don't try saying it has to do a lot with luck, Anyone who has played Panzer General and beyond knows you can SIMPLY RELOAD game to test results. Or is this a pathetic attempt to restrict this process? cause either way it sucks.

Developers please note...10 year out of date graphics (see any good game released in last year), ordinary voice acting and animations of "Gee thay are actually Flying around the stage" which gets so old so fast you right click through them in frustration to get to the (often poor) result and Parkinsons google eyed bad teeth adolf (he only really did the arm thing in public addresses) rabbiting on in the worse accent since Red October (russian scottish connery - at least he didn't insult us by trying) does never, ever, ever outweigh Poor Game Play.....EVER. The one and only purpose of this type of game is gameplay. You won't enjoy chess if 4 pieces are removed from one side even if they are made of solid gold which, alas, despite what they try to wowingly tell you,,,this game isn't.. PS Did I mention it constantly CRASHES.

          BUGS
Technical Issue (of many but doesn't seem to have been mentioned yet) If you move a unit by train but decide you didn't want to and reload...then save yourself a lot of frustration and exit game and restart. Seems reloading locks out the mouse on selecting any unit. even if you click the disembark again to turn it off.

If you reload a game sometimes auto fire units (especially antiair) no longer work.

latest patch to avoid crashes (on certain cards. WTF) now also crashes entire PC when it happens between missions.

After giving this game every possible chance - see hours played, you don't trash a game until you are absolutely sure. I am uninstalling. Not being able to target most of the radar stations in battle of Britain is the last straw.

Think i'll load up Order of Battle.
