About The Peninsular Campaign
The Peninsular Campaign is an independent campaign based on the conflict in the Spanish Peninsula between 1811 and 1814. It was during this era that the Spanish resistance gave their style of fighting its name: Guerrilla, or the “little war”.
Play the campaign from three different perspectives, each with a unique feel:
• The French fight to keep resistance at bay while converting regions to their political alignment.
• The British are very limited for regions at the start but receive enough income from Northern Europe and North America that they can afford to liberate regions back to the Spanish in return for Guerrilla aid.
• The Spanish also have a limited starting position but have permanent access to Guerrillas for effective battlefield use against the French.
Choose one of the three nations involved - France, Great Britain or Spain - and experience one of the most intense conflicts of the Napoleonic era.
Key Features:
• A new and independent Iberian Peninsula campaign map featuring 32 controllable regions.
• 5 new Guerrilla unit types, recruitable by all nations, adept at battlefield stealth and with the added ability to deploy outside of their faction's deployment zones: Tiradores (Skirmisher Infantry), Cazadores, Lanceros (Lancer Cavalry), Husares (Light Cavalry), Leader (General).
• 28 new units in total, spread across the three playable nations including the British 95th Rifles, the French Vistula Uhlans and the Spanish Coraceros Espanoles.
• Two new agents to enforce political conversion:
• Provocateurs (French and British nations only) have the ability to promote anti-opposition sentiment in regions, incite unrest, decreases turn time for research and passively spy.
• Priests (Spanish and Portuguese nations only) have the ability to promote anti-opposition sentiment in regions and incite unrest.
• A new Guerrillero agent for the Spanish nation: similar to a Spy but with the new ability to Harass enemy armies - lock them in place for a turn and cause them attrition.
• Political Alignment system which sees the French battle to increase pro-French sentiment throughout the peninsula.
About Coalition Battle Pack
The Coalition Battle Pack features 6 brand new units and contains the Battle of Friedland fought between France and Russia.
The Battle of Friedland (14 June, 1807) with Napoleon's empire at its height, he took a chance and defeated Russia in detail, knocking them out of the war and bringing the Fourth Coalition to an end.
Unit Descriptions:
• Lifeguard Hussars: This fast light cavalry unit is best used for dealing with skirmishers and artillery who can attack from long range.
• Coldstream Guards: Disciplined, well-trained and respected, these elite foot guards inspire nearby troops in battle.
• Archduke Charles' Legion: This highly-disciplined line infantry regiment excels at weapons drill and accuracy.
• Luetzow's Freikorps: Swift light cavalry, the riders of Luetzow’s Freikorps are excellent in melee and on the charge.
• Life Hussars: Sabre-armed light cavalry, the Life Hussars are powerful on the charge and effective in melee combat.
• Semenovski Lifeguard: Immaculately turned out, these elite guards have excellent morale and are superb when used against skirmish troops and artillery.
About Heroes of the Napoleonic Wars
These exclusive elite units become available on the campaign map once you have made a specific technological advancement or own the relevant territory.
They will appear in both single and multiplayer game modes.

An all time classic. Napoleon Total War III mod makes the game into something that must be played by anyone interested in Napoleonic era combat or its history. 10/10
Good stuff, Base game is fun but I would also check out the Great War mod. Transforms the game into WW1 and is very fleshed out and mostly free of bugs.
This game is one of my most played games on steam. It's fun to play solo and create different scenarios from fort defenses to sea battles. Online can be a little challenging to get into and sometimes hard to understand the rule sets for newer players. But train enough, and you'll get into the swing of things. Also, the campaign is great, I beat it as Great Britain then proceeded to declare war on every other country. By the time I was done, the whole map was ruled by me. Also, allows for mods to change units and sizes. Overall a great game.
If you love the Napoleonic era, then this would be the best game out! I love this game allot and even though it looks old, its actually a really good game, I would totally recommend this game. Message to developers if your still out there: Ass more Austrian/Ossereich regiments.
The game is extremely fun with an immersive campaign and epic real time battles.
Decent game actually requires tactical knowledge. Not for noobs needs time to get to grips with controls and commands. do all the tutorials or plan to fail
So many improvements over Empire, but at the same time, so many downgrades, i wish this was a expansion to Empire instead giving all the QoL upgrades to the base game

At first i tried reconizing all the bad features like poor graghics on modles but then i reconized the good features like the detailed and realistic battles. Good game not really good game but still play it when im in the car on trips. Would reccomend 6/10
Anyone who likes historical battles may like NTW, I personally like the little details such as the smoke from the muskets and cannon fire and the way the artillery gunners hold their ears and turn away from the cannon just before it fires, they have put blast waves in also from the cannon both on land and at sea. Plus the bugle being played and fife and drum as the soldiers are marching. Brilliant game!
My friend has been pestering me to get this for ages, and I have to say it is quite fun, I love the little details of the game and how it's all put together. :-)

One of my fav Total War games. I've only played Rome and tried playing 3K and was instantly overwhelmed. This Napoleon version is the perfect in-between and helped bridge my knowledge gap. I am now ready to beat 3K!

This is what empire should have been. With improved graphics, territories, mechanics and more, this game is the best gunpowder age game out there and it still holds up.
Before the battle: Heck yeah, they just got militia and artillery
Mid battle: Dayum is that Dragoons behind my artillery
Near the end of the battle: There is nothing we can do.

the cannons will kill your friendly forces to the point where its actually stupid like the AI for the cannons is so dumb there will be enemies in the open and they will friendly fire right into your men fighting its very frustrating because they would never do that in real life lol its just common sense and it ruins the game. but overall very fun game nothing else really like it hope they make more and better.

Immersive ship and land battles from the Napoleonic era, great upgrade on Empire Total war. Though would have loved to have seen the same scale on the campaign map.

I will never cave and play the magic bs they are making these days. Glory to the old TW.
Probably my favorite TW game, exceeding Empire simply because it has less bugs and smoother playing experience. Darthmod and some others are essential to loving this game, imo. Tech tree isn't as fun as Empire's and the map graphics/functionality aren't as nice, but it makes up for it for being way less buggy, and not lagging for hours between turns due to the Ottomans, sometimes the French take a little bit but its not even close to as bad as Empire in that regard. Hours are about 1/3 total hours on this game. It's really really good, recommend.
grenadiers actually have grenades
better than Empire, kinda wish there was more multiplayer factions such as the sand people
If you like war and stategy type of games this is the game for you hands down really fun
it is so cool highly suggest to those who really like history and real time strategy games
I shelled an enemy unit using 12 pounders for 30 minutes and it refused to die or run away

the last good total war, series went downhill from here. Sega/CA switched to the greedy, lying, scumbags they truly are.
Man, I wish this had been an expansion for Empire instead. It's an improvement in almost every way except for the fact that it focuses exclusively on Europe (except for one of the scenarios set around Egypt).
Still, it's more stable and I just love some Napoleonic-era combat!
big numbers dont really matter for this unlike rome 2 you actually gotta think and shit rather than having a 1000000 line army against a 200 garrison
I like the game considering its pretty old but there are some slight problems which id the AI not functioning clearly and more but if I were to rate thid game out of 10 I would rate it 10/10 I really recommend this game especially for beginners that wants line battles.
A really good game, just one issue its most likely my computer but it crashes randomly? None of my other games do, only total war games do. But, overall its one of my fav games either way.
