Simple Gameplay of course - solitaire levels with a few jigsaws in between and occasional hidden items search - but beautiful graphics and great music (I bought the soundtrack too because I really love it). Overall really lovely casual game.
DigiMight makes the best solitaire games. Sometimes tough, but fair. I finished with all three stars, so it's possible. Replaying levels will be required.
A fun casual game, never punishes you for not doing super well, so it is pretty easy to get the full board clear at 100% completion.
Enjoyed the gameplay with the solitaire and solving puzzles.
But the story as a whole was bad for me.
The beginning was like a skipped intro where the kingdom's citizen where already asleep and was in peril. It feels like the player was called where everything was in chaos and going along with Snow in gaining comrades and collecting beans. However, the player was not included in the beginning of the story, climax, and ending. After the final stage of the solitaire and puzzles, I was speechless, confused, and wondering whether I missed something but I didn't. I got all the achievements and felt like someone who was summoned just to help and after helping you are dismissed.
I did enjoy playing Solitaire and the puzzles but I could also play those in a different with a satisfying storyーa story with a plot. I haven't really played that much Solitaire games but I find my first game more satisfying than this which is Regency Solitaire where I felt like I would play the game again.
This Solitaire game is not all that different from the other Solitaire games on Steam. Similar style of game play of matching the cards and having special abilities to use once unlocked and a store to buy more or better upgraded with. This one is really short though, compared to the Faerie Solitaire games, and about half the length or less than the Jewel Match Solitaire games.
If you read my other Solitaire games, you'll see most of the same things I would say here.
I will give a warning though, i had problems getting the last achievement to pop up, despite having the in game trophy for it. Where I beat all the world with 3 stars, getting all the stars. I got the in game trophy but steam didn't recognize it with an achievement. ultimately I had to cheese a way of getting it and it worked, so I 100% the game. Just be warned the achievements can be buggy, or at least that one. I do still recommend it though.
Anyone who is a solitaire aficionado here on Steam will enjoy this version of the game.
It has all of the satisfying bells and whistles, and it's well worth picking up during a sale.
This is my first title from this Dev/Publisher, and I look forward to playing more of them in the future :)
The cards are just random, so most hands are solvable. Takes lots of replaying hands to get '3 stars'. Otherwise the game is very bland.
Seen one, seen 'em all, as the old saying goes. Not sure what that would actually apply to though. Movies? Cars? Giraffes? Not really. So it is with Snow White Solitaire, it's not exactly like every other solitaire, but similar enough that you might not be able to pick it out of a lineup if it mugged you.
There is a mystical quest that can only be done by you, Player, and along the way you play higher/lower solitaire, as well as a few hidden object scenes, and small jigsaw puzzles. The game is above average quality for the solitaire genre, easy to see cards, endlessly droning flute music, and powers that you gather along the way.
Those powers are gained as companions join you, and by the time you have them all, you are a card crushing juggernaut, blasting your way through the levels with abandon and glee. Add to that the amount of gold you will have to buy jokers, and getting three stars on every level becomes a breeze, if not a light wind.
So if you're a solitaire player, then you know what you're getting, a risk free purchase of a good game. If you don't like solitaire, but really wish you had a one minute loop of flute music playing endlessly in your house, then today is your lucky day. Your family might not like it, but oh well. Let the cards fall where they may.
YES!!! This is a very fun Solitaire game!!! When you first start up the game, you see impressive visuals. The whole game is like that. It also has a story line! Characters actually talk to one another. Oh and that soundtrack! I am glad to see that it is available for pick up. It just fits so well with everything.
You can select the back picture for the cards themselves + if you have trouble viewing the more colorful cards, there is an option for a different style as well. The game isn't overly challenging, but it is so satisfying to play. It made me feel like an amazing player and a savior of the Kingdom. I think everything was worked out perfectly for everything.
There are people/creatures who join your party to help you out with "Battles" and there are also artifacts for upgrades. You have enough money to get through the game and I just love how it all works out.
I only encountered two bugs in this game, which in no way hinders any enjoyment. In the lava levels, the "burnt" cards consume one card from the deck... but the card duplicates, then if you "Summon" a card, it become a constant "7" or some other number that doesn't work with what's out in the field. So if that happens: just click on the "previously burnt card" -> it will remove it! Phew! The second bug involves cards randomly glowing. It only lightly distracts you. So overall, nothing bad at all.
Oh! And one of the artifacts highlights the cards... that is a cool addition! You also get to do light Hidden Object Puzzles and Jigsaw puzzles too!
So thank you for the fun/interesting/cool music game!!! :) :> =)
a very pleasant solitaire game, where 60% of it's appeal (to me) is the MUSIC !!! & the overall celtic feel, atmosphere & design
if you are a selective music connoisseur & like to play card games - hands down, this game is a must for you !
It's a solitaire game with decent (eventually wearisome, but basically decent) music, totally acceptable graphics, power ups that are relatively easy to snag and that make the game more interesting, and achievements that are actually achievable without senseless grinding or flukes of luck and/or savant levels of skill. I quite enjoyed it, and there really are no negatives; it's fine for what it is and something you can put 10 or 15 minutes into when you've got a spare moment.
Nice.
A perfectly charming solitaire game.
11 hours to complete, easy achievements, a bit of story to hold the gameplay together, occasional hidden object scenes, occasional (and skipable unless you want all achievements) jigsaw puzzles, but mostly the usual "3 Towers" version of solitiare (Faerie Solitire, etc) where you match by going up or down from the card you drew. For instance, if you drew a 5, then you can click on either a 6 or a 4, then let's say you picked a 6, you can pick a 7 or go back down to another 5. Etc. There's tutorials for newbies.
There are the usual things to hamper your collecting of cards, such as needing sheers to cut through vines before some cards can become playable. Later on there is Ice on some cards that means you have to use that card twice. Each one fits the part of the map you are on: Forest, Ice, Lava, etc.
You get usable bonuses in the form of heroes that join you, one per area it seemed like. The first guy is a knight and once activated will give you a card that matches a random card in the playing area. The next is a wizard that flips over a few cards that are underneath others. You can increase their powers by buying rings or amulets in the shop. So that once you have bought the ring upgrade for the Knight he can do his thing twice. Once upgraded the Wizard will reveal more cards.
There are also Wild Cards and Jokers that rarely appear. And you can only store 4 of them at one time, so if you are playing and a new wild card appears you will have to use it or one in your stash.
Music is nice and fits the fairy tale theme. Sound effects are ok.
Graphics are rich in color and there are some scenes you can screneshot if you are quick, like after finishing a jigsaw puzzle it shows it for a few seconds before moving on.
Price seems to be in the normal range for this type of game. I think I bought it on sale, though I might have gotten it in a bundle, I can't remember for sure. Either way it was worth it. A charming addition to my solitaire collection.
Quite a good game considering it's just solitaire.
Importance lies in not having to buy online further coins or cards once you're in the game. Everything is already there.
Would recommend.
Enjoy!
I once promised myself not to buy any puzzle/card/hidden object games as they are too addictive for me. I literally can't stop playing them until the very end. Welp, I failed again and I can't say I regret anything xD
The game is great! It offers so many different 'tasks', actually the elements of all those games I've already mentioned. Every level brought something new and interesting. To get all the achievemnts I had to buy all those amulets, as a result it was never really challenging. Plus, the game surprisingly has a plot. Quite simple but that journey became truly charming.
I bought the game during the sale. I recommend it to everyone who more or else likes card or puzzle games. It was so relaxing, so beautiful...
You've played one, you've played them all, and I think I have played them all lol.
The game is way too easy with all the powerups, but still fun for a casual, relaxing game.
Nice music and artwork, and lots of levels. A little repetitive, but that's not unexpected in a Soltaire game.
When I first started playing, I tended to avoid using the companions' abilities, which added to the difficulty level. Eventually I broke down and started using them, partly because I noticed that it wasn't possible to get all the achievements without doing so, and it was fun to try to figure out how to best use them to end a level. The number of your companions increases the further you get into the game, and their powers improve if you buy the upgrades in the store using in-game currency earned by finishing levels and earning achievements.
There's a bit of luck involved, as with most Solitaire games, but a bit of strategy as well if you take the companions into account. The game's overall difficulty level was perfect for me, and I found that fully completing each level with the top number of stars wasn't as hard as I'd expected it would be.
Pros:
+ Nice artwork
+ Beautiful background music
+ Perfect difficulty level
+ Easy to learn
Cons:
- A little repetitive
- The puzzles and "find the pieces" mini games were overly simple
- The story was paper thin and not terribly interesting. I stopped paying attention to it after a while
Solitaire is one of those games that I often get grief for playing. Windows has a version built right into the OS, so why am I spending good money on something I could just play for free? Or worse yet, why do I buy several different versions of the game when I can simply continue playing the few I have and save the money? Well, some people are just solitaire nuts, and I'm pretty sure I’m one, too. But aside from that, I simply enjoy experiencing the little things that most solitaire titles add to distinguish their games from all the rest. And after playing at least a dozen or so here on Steam, I have to say, Snow White Solitaire: Charmed Kingdom is definitely one of the more enjoyable versions I've come across in quite some time. Not only is it absolutely gorgeous, but it's provided me with more challenge than just about every other solitaire game I've played in years, and I LOVE IT! Curated by: Chudah's Corner

Now, if you're looking for a solitaire title in which you practically cannot lose, you'll want to look elsewhere. You WILL fail… A LOT. It’s quite common to have to replay a board over and over and over again until you either blow your saved abilities (which take 2-3 boards to recharge) or get lucky on the draw. And unlike many other solitaire games, just grinding away for gold on the easier boards won't get you anywhere fast. You're only given a new "companion" as you enter each new area on the map, and that companion's ability can be improved with purchasable power ups. So yes, while you most certainly can have a fully-powered sorceress at your disposal the moment she joins your group, you won't have access to her until later in the game. With only 1 re-do per level, and no ability to peek at the top card on your draw pile, things can get pretty hairy. But making judgment calls on which ability to use, deciding whether you should risk blowing through all of your wild cards on a single board, or playing it safe by holding them for later, is half the fun. Sure, things do tend to get easier later in the game when you have all of your companions’ abilities at the ready, but there are still a few layouts that will have you grinding your teeth.
What I found to be the most unique aspect of the game are the mini-power-ups that randomly appear on the board. In order to activate them, you have to play the card they’re on, but there's a catch; these power-ups only show up for about 15 seconds before they disappear. If you can't play the card in that time, well...you're out of luck. This definitely adds a bit of strategy and excitement to the gameplay, especially when the "add 2 cards" bonus pops up, and your draw pile is running low.

I need to make mention of how absolutely stunning this game is. Perhaps it all had more of an effect on me as I'd just come off of playing Home Run Solitaire, which I found to be one of the blandest and most boring solitaire titles I'd ever played, but I was entirely enraptured with Snow White's presentation. The hand-painted artwork varies from pleasant to absolutely breathtaking, and really does feel like you’re playing through a storybook. Combined with the gorgeous orchestral soundtrack, which reminded me of cues from several well-known film scores such as The Lord of the Rings and Wall-E, I was quite literally in heaven!
Now don’t get me wrong, the game isn’t perfect. The story is merely fluff, and there are a few grammatical errors that are kind of jarring considering how polished everything else is. There’s also little mini-games in between some of the boards that you’re forced to play through in order to progress. While I was fine with these casual divergences, it would have been nice to skip them without having to wait out any timers. But the biggest issue I had was with how slow the gameplay sometimes feels. Mouse clicks can be a tad unresponsive (especially when picking up items to use), and the animations themselves are slower than most other solitaire games. This has the effect of slowing everything down just a bit, which is especially noticeable when you’re flying through card combos. It took me quite a few boards to become accustomed to the slower pace. But honestly, with only 1 re-do per board, you’re going to want to slow yourself down anyway, as careless errors aren’t as easy to overcome.

Even with a handful of misgivings, Snow White Solitaire: Charmed Kingdom charmed me enough to look past them. I’d been searching for a more challenging version of the game for a while now (at least, ever since burning myself out on the excellent Solitairica), and yet I’ve only just now realized that all of the bonuses, power-ups, and perks that have become a staple of the genre were ultimately responsible for removing the strategy that I so loved. That’s not to say I don’t enjoy a more casual solitaire experience, but there’s room in the world for both, and I’m certainly glad that DigiMight is providing us with that option. Now, onto Legacy of the Dwarves!
This is a good solitare game with an occasional puzzle and seek hidden pieces boards set to a fairy tale story line (that you can skip thru) and soft, almost whimisical music. I'm enjoying this one on those 'I need a change of pace' days. I'm on level 25 and have no complaints.
Very good solitaire game. The only issue I have with it is those puzzle mini games. The devs could have left those out. The story is good and game play is solid. 9/10.
Snow White Solitaire: Charmed Kingdom is a beautiful high-low solitaire game with lovely music. The 140 levels of solitaire onslaught is nicely broken up by jigsaw puzzles and hidden object scenes. There is also an overall story of collecting magic beans to save the kingdom from a sleep spell which is played out through occasional dialogue.
Yet, I was thinking about refunding this game. I am glad that I didn't. The early levels are pretty frustrating, as you struggle to string even 3-card combos together and multiples of the same card clog your board. However, I suspected that the companion power-ups were the key to this game and I was correct. Once I had the Knight and the Golem, things were getting under control. After I got the Dragon and the Sorceress, most hands were 3-star with over 20 cards to spare. You gain companions by advancing the story and they work on cooldowns. You can also buy Joker wildcards to help with the really tough layouts.
So, just get through the early levels with 1 or 2 stars and return later with your companions for 3-star perfection.
It took me just over 11 hours to finish the game with all the achievements. Once your companions join the party, this game becomes very fun and you can conquer all the layouts, despite some nasty RNG occurrences.
EDIT: I just finished Chronicles of Emerland Solitaire. That was clearly an inspiration for this game, as the mechanics are very similar. If you enjoyed Emerland, you will definitely enjoy its much prettier sister, Snow White.
Good solitaire game. Very similar to the Chronicles of Emerland if you've played them. You can gain allies along the way that have special abilities and you gather coins in each hand to use in the shop to buy perks. The usual solitaire game but with some nice artwork thrown into the mix.
