Meme Dragons is a silly, sci-fi VR arcade game for all demographics. For VR newbies, it's a chance to see why the physical immersion of VR is so great, without having to worry about complex controls. For gaming vets, its a carefully designed challenge meant to keep you playing for hours chasing that next high score.
Also, if you're looking for an exercise game, the addition of throwing weapons by end of 2017 will likely make this the most efficient VR workout on the market, since dodging is your primary survival mechanic and the throwing weapons force constant arm motion.
The initial early-access version of the game has:
- 10 meme-filled story levels
- 6 unique enemy types
- 3 difficulty settings
- 1 super satisfying laser (plasma) gun
- 1 sweet spaceship environment
The final version of the game will have:
- 2 to 3 more weapons, each with its own scoreboard
- 1 more game mode
- possibly other features such as pay-to-win micro-transactions LOL JK

Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
This is a bad game. Some reviewers here have compared this game to Space Pirate Trainer. That has to be a joke. It's such a bad joke that it may become a meme in the not too distant future.
It's a stand still wave shooter with 2 weapons. A pair of handguns that feels like a water gun with bullets slowly getting from point A to point B that even a nerf gun feels more powerful. You could also choose to throw these Qi balls at the enemies with physics that'll make you question your sanity for choosing this option.
There's only a few enemies. I finished the game on easy (after the boss there's infnite levels though) in about 12 minutes. I haven't beaten the game on medium difficulty, that's only because the game throws many enemies at you at level 8, thereby making the game difficult to beat (to hide how short it actually is).
Maybe you'll find the memes funnier than I did. But the gameplay is awful and there's no hiding that. Look past the jokes, look past the music & sounds. The gameplay is just terrible. The shooting mechanic is bad. The graphics are bad. I honestly think this game is full of fake reviews as you can see the time played for all these people talking about how great this game is.
Rate 3.5/10. It's so bad, it may become fodder for when people want to make fun of the 2010s and how people used to spend time with memes back then. Remember then? Yeah, people were so stupid & corny back then.
i honestly dont know why i played it as long as i did but it does have some aspects that are fun but its just needs work on some animations and some things shouldent be so long

This game is awesome! If you like memes, wave shooters, and good humor, this is the game for you. I’ve never played a game like this but I hope to see more like it! The cutscenes were 10/10
One of most creative games I've played yet! I haven't played anything so far that has actually made me laugh the way this did. It isn't the most amazing visual journey or insane gameplay of all time but it's authentically fun in a unique way. I'm happy support this dev and the vr industry to continue making more original stuff like this!

Ridiculous, fun and addictive. This game managed to get me shooting lasers, dodging attacks and laughing my ass off at the same time. It's a sci-fi wave shooter, that brings back a lot of memories of beloved and not-so-beloved memes. Also... solid sound track.

Very unique and fun game! I like the visual style, a bit silly in a good way and it works well with the theme of the game. I had some good chuckles from the Memes that I did recognize although I didn't get them all. I'll leave you to discover them on your own. The gameplay mechanic works well but the humorous design is what stands out. You should check it out if you want to try something different in VR.

This game is a lot of fun packed into a shorter game with high replay-value. It's the game you want to force all your non-VR friends to play this holiday season, and watch them duck, dodge, dip, dive and dodge out of the way of whatever gets hurled in their direction - and you get to watch!
I enjoyed it! It's a very cartoonish feeling wave shooter. Felt a little like serious sam or space pirate trainer. Shoot the lasers at the meme dragons which are throwing memes at you. So you are fighitng some kind of weird internet culture mashup. The music is fun and the visual effects are really cool, you might find yourself dancing through some of the rounds. Would recommend.
Meme Dragons was hilarious and much more entertaining than other wave shooters like zombies and space pirates. You have to check it out.
Meme Dragons had me chuckling from the very first minute. It's a fun and challenging shooter / dodger along the lines of Space Pirate Trainer, but the added references to ridiculous social memes and VR in-jokes really cracked me up. I haven't given it enough time yet, but I have a feeling I'll keep coming back to it and putting my friends who are new to VR through it.
Very enjoyable, hilarious wave based shooter. Works perfect with Windows MR. Looking forward to updates, future memes and spending more time with the game.
