Dungeon Keeper Tower Defence in VR!!!
- It looks good and I like the art style.
- The controlls and interactions are awesome, but the gameplay itself it shallow.
- Imput often breaks and makes you unable to play, best way to fix it is to get out of the level and reselect it, or restart the game.
- Buy it on discount, there are just 3 levels (Baught it for less than 2€)
- It's good for VR beginners
Good idea, but after a few times not interesting. Too small content
This is a really good game, beautiful graphics, sound and controls it just needs some more love from the DEV, I think this would be a hit in mixed reality on the quest store.
I wasn't a fan. Smashing things in the dungeon constantly to gain enough power to do things seems dumb to me. And the "hero's" come in constant waves, so there isn't really any time to actually set anything up. Plus I wanted to build the dungeon and it is already prebuilt.

I play with VR for 2 weeks now. I love Dungeon Keeper and Dungeons III on PC. My first thought was, that these games are the ideal match for VR. Devil and the Fairy is dungeon defense and not a dungeon builder, but it does this perfectly. The ambiance is nice. The amount of detail is very high. The high pitched goblin fairy is sometimes funny and reminds me on Dungeons III humor.
I got the game in sale for 2 Euros and its fully worth it. But it is not worth 10 Euros as it just has 3 levels and you may play to the end in less the 1 hour.
But to see how Dungeon builders/defense/strategy games may look like in VR is great :) Keep going HandyGames!!

Similarly to their Townsmen game, don't make the mistake of passing on this pretty unique VR entry. The game is short, but quite a polished spin on your typical tower defense game. Granted, I'm not sure there's anything essentially unique about the gameplay itself, except the VR interface is really well done and there's nothing like watching tiny goblins and knights fighting in front of you like a bunch of miniature toys.
Game looks great for VR BUT 0 development so far and still waiting for more, get it on sale worth a look.
Got it for $2.beat the first two levels after grinding the first 3x. Fun little game. Kept me well entertained on a rainy Sunday.
This is the second game I've picked up from this developer (the other being the newer Townsmen). In both cases they are early access, have a bunch of comments from people complaining about lack of updates and are limited in scope such that they feel a bit like a demo for a full game, but in both cases what is there is actually really polished and genuinely fun. The art style and graphics are really good and the game does a great job of making you feel like you've been dropped into a crazy little Dungeon Keeper-esque diorama.
Personally, for what I paid, even if neither game got updated again, I'd be satisfied. If more gets added then that will be a lovely surprise.
VR variation of Tower defence with fine controls and way too much barrel smashing.
Also a bit simplistic and more RTS then tower defence at start.
Can't recomend it since at the moment it is more like demo.
It's a fairly alright game from a tech standpoint - the controls are nice, and it's fun to see what could potentially be a Dungeon Keeper-esque game in VR.
However, for now it's got about 1 hour of gameplay in it as a pretty run-of-the-mill tower defense. The only really innovative element is the VR perspective - the actual gameplay is very simple and offers little in terms of either replay value, storyline, or moments that make you go "wow".
If you have the opportunity to pick this up on the cheap in a bundle, sure, go for it, it'll provide a bit of amusement. But it's not worth the current £7 it's priced at, and appears to have been dropped to the wayside by the developer. A shame, as the scaffolding for a fun story and great game is here, but current all that's there is a skeleton.
Abandoned by developers and miles away from being finished.
It's only a little tech demo with almost nothing to do.
So far the game seems to be early access abandonware. Many of the levels are unplayable, no updates since march, which was right after release.
Hope for more updates in the future, but until then don't waste your money.
Very good game that reminds of "Dungeon Keeper". It takes some time to master fully, sadly for now there are only three dungeon and you can't help but want for more :) There's also a bug: when closing the game from the SteamVR it freezes and sometimes it doesn't save your progress. Anyway a great fun, it is hilarious to throw barrels at the enemies and also moving around the litte helpers is fun. suggested if you like strategy games
I used to consider the game fun but there are now other titles which fill the same purpose, and the developers long stopped supporting this game.
Great game, great price, by the developers of the similarly great Townsmen! ^^ Both titles are at the beginning of a 1 year Early Access so it might be a bit soon to review this - but so far it looks and plays great!
The voice overs and sound effects and visuals are all fantastic. The visual/audio style is spot on a love letter to the Dungeon Keeper games, but the gameplay itself is more of a traditional Tower Defense wave attack game. Bit of a shame as I was hoping to be able to carve out my own dungeons and farm for gold etc. but instead the maps are all pre-set and you place your creatures in the way of the enemy who are following a set route to your dungeon heart.
BUT that was just my initial expectation from the trailer, not based on what it was actually sold as. For what its trying to be, it totally succeeds IMO. Cant wait for more content as the game proceeds through Early Access :) Good work devs!
Love this game, brilliant graphics and gameplay, granted not played very much but sometimes you can tell straight away when a games got bags of potential, the dungeon lighting is impressive, can't wait to see what they had to this little gem.
Well produced dungeon defense game, "Dungeon Keeper" style. Good looking graphics, good humor, and a decent gameplay for a really fair price. Two thumbs up!
This is a fun and charming Tower Defense type game. It has three dungeon maps with three difficulty settings. I could defeat the maps on easy and medium, but hard was very difficult. The price is steep for what you get, but if they add more content it will be a good deal. The graphics are very good, and the characters are adorable. The controls are easy to use, and the overall game experience is smooth and bug free for me.
