Two notable criteria for what makes an asset flip instead of legitimate use of stock assets are whether those assets comprise the majority of the game, and whether the "developer" properly credited the people who created most of the assets in the game. This game fails both of those tests. The "developers" here didn't credit any of the artists and real, actual game developers who created the assets here, so this is plagiarism, as well as cash grab shovelware.
In this case, the asset flipper took a bunch of assets from the Unreal Marketplace and arranged them on a basic first person horror game blueprint... this is yet another minimum viable product from a known asset flipper and shovelware pusher. Another cash grab. It has no value or merit as a real game.
QuickSave/SA Industry have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. Here's some examples so you can see for yourself:
- "Kingdom Defense" = Tower Defense Basic Pixel Art Pack developed by FreeThePlayerOnGame
- "Falling Words" = 2D Typing Game developed by Steelkrill Studio
[*] "Drive For Your Life" = Zombie Drive - Full Game Template developed by Puppeteer
Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
The developers didn't design the game for modern gaming PCs, as such the display resolution caps out at 1080p, a very low resolution that became mainstream back in 2006 and became obsolete when 4K entered the mainstream in 2014. The game simply won't look right on modern gaming displays due to this failure on the part of the developers.
The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts.
These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.
The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 4 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 110,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected.
It's also important to note the "developer" here has connections to a number of shady Russian asset flippers and review manipulators who show an organised pattern to scam and defraud gamers with fake reviews and asset flipping the work of others for profit. While reviews are about the games, gamers should be informed when developers act unethically. Whether these connections are the same developer using multiple accounts, or just working closely with other unethical developers, gamers should be warned about the harm to gamers by this developer and their associates. Buying games from unethical developers puts your money at risk.
This kind of asset flipping isn't harmless. It makes it harder for gamers to find genuinely made games from ethical developers. It makes it harder for genuine indie developers, who put hard work into trying to make real games, to find an audience for their products. It gives indie developers a bad name.
So, should you buy this asset flip? Is this better than any of the 110,000+ genuinely made games on Steam? Of course not!
Deep Sorrow has the farcical price of around $10 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the unethical nature of the developer. Remember that if you buy a game from an unethical developer, you're putting your money at risk.
As an indie dev myself I give it a positive because even if the game is not really there I know how much work and effort needs to be put in. Anybody who says this was done in 5 minutes has never ever created anything.

The gameplay is short, and while the lack of a save function is somewhat acceptable, what’s even more ridiculous is that I couldn't fully experience the game content.
The graphics settings are severely lacking, with the highest resolution option being 1080p and no ability to switch between fullscreen and windowed modes—completely baffling. The game is locked at 60fps, and combined with terrible motion blur, I can only say that even for a demo, the experience is disastrous.
What’s more baffling is that launching the game inexplicably opens SteamVR. I mean, nowhere on the store page does it say this is a VR game, right? Even if it were, 60 FPS in VR wouldn’t make anyone feel dizzy? And then there are the constant crashes, even when I’m not doing anything in the game. Coupled with the lack of a save function, I can only say that the experience is truly heartbreaking.
