The game is good but the totally RNG-based texas hold'em minigame (with related achievement) was a stupid idea, let me tell you that.
Simple, but fun little adult visual novel with some good humor and a unique art style, definitely recommended for fans of such games.
This is easily the most Italian thing I've ever played.
There's even a recipe for spaghetti carbonara after the big tiddy beach scene. Italian af.

Longer review:
I made sure I played the whole trilogy before starting to write the reviews. Desert Island was the game that I discovered at first and in the store I saw that this dev had already published 3 games in the Oppaidius series, so I of course started at the beginning. Comparing the art of Summer Trouble to the later installments, this one had more of a robust art style. The only thing that first kinda threw me off is that Serafina kinda had a jaw line like giga chad. However, it kinda grew on me eventually as she was still beautifully drawn and I definitely could see the skill of the artist in several shots (e.g. shopping ass shot, that one was really well done). I also like the smoothness of the small animations in this game. Smoother than most H games I played. However its good to note that the artist improved their skills over the years with the later installments.
Summer Trouble has the best story of the three in my opinion. It actually has some drama in it, unlike the other games, which are only humouristic. I did hear some complaints about the humour not being funny (OK boomer), in some reviews. It did make me chuckle a couple of times. I think the story has a good pace and is enjoyable. The ending (yes ending, NOT endings, which I will come to later) did make me feel for the MC, which is a good thing as good stories should do that to the reader.
The characters themselves are in my opinion written more believable as a real human being than most H games I have player. They just feel more human, however some cliche's are still used. Like Jimmy, the best friend perv, which is at this point so common in any kind of manga or hentai. And the MC is the shut-in (a VERY common combination). The best character arc is Serafina, and she is the best part of this game, as it should. As she is the centre of the game.
There are minigames in this game, 3 to be exact. 1 bigger one not related to the story and 2 small ones related to the story. The bigger one is poker and you have to score points and go through levels. I believe I spend more time in this minigame than the actual VN. Partly due that I tried to finish the minigame in my first run and you dont have many tokens. But since I am a fan of poker, i spend hours trying to succeed. I eventually gave up and finished the VN, only to see that the more endings you get, the more tokens for the minigame you will receive. And with the max amount of tokens, its easier to finish. The other two minigames are a mash button event and a click reaction event.
Now the music, well its not something I will remember, so meh its ok.
The only gripe I had with Summer Trouble is that its kinda short (ALTHOUGH. it kinda works for the story, ya know short but sweet). The dev says there are 5 different endings but to me they were all the same except for a small difference. The worst ending is Serafina leaving you a note, and the best ending is still her leaving but in person. The other ending are just which hand you use groping her breasts. The aspect of the endings being the same, while being said to be different, would have been a negative about this game, if it weren't for the story. It is supposed to be a drama, while everybody hopes for an ULTRA ending, where "they all live happily ever after". I think the fact that the dev chose not to let Serafina stay, no matter what actually compliments the drama part of the whole story. IRL sometimes no matter what you do, you still wont have that ULTRA ending and have to let people go, no matter what. So I think this decision is what makes the story so good, but just the fact that I was expecting 5 different endings but got 2 with just minor differences is what put the ending in neutral and the story in the positive.
Anyway, so all in all, its a good VN.
I liked this game a lot. However, if you are too sensitive for the inappropriate content, stay away from this franchise.
Anyways, you begin this game as the protagonist. He is pretty much not a social person at the beginning. There is also a female character with huge (name of body parts redacted for the sensitive) who comes to see the protagonist.
While the beginning does begin weird, it does get better as the story progresses.
The bottom line is that even though this game is very perverted, it is also a well-developed one made by Sbargi Soft. There are also 2 more games of the franchise.
I highly recommend this game for the perverts.
UPDATE: I neglected to mention that there are some images that may cause seizures, so if you have epilepsy, stay away from this game.

A brilliantly upbeat and hilarious VN with two handfuls of lewd. I was first introduced to this series through the free-to-play mini-sequel Tropical Cruise. After beating it ;) and thoroughly enjoying it, I decided I would support the developer by purchasing the first in series. It's a really charming game and not overly long. The style and mini-games really are fun. I have sent quite a few copies out there to friends. Please give it a shot!
I came to this game after beating the sequel Oppaidius Tropical Cruise, and everything that was engaging, funny, and sexy about that one is here to enjoy in its predecessor. The game is fun to complete, though the last trophy is causing me a little grief since I'm no good at poker. I’ll say what I said last time; definitely recommend this for anyone who enjoys odd humour, visual novels, and boobs. Very large Boobs.
Quite short visual novel with a lot of charm. Looks great and sounds even greater as the music is amazingly good real deal "pc engine / turbographx-16" style of stuff!
The bonus Game Boy style poker mini game that you can access at any point in the game would alone make me recommend this game, so with the boobs and the awesome music with surprisingly charming light-hearted and fun attitude and presentation this gets a definite YES from me. I've gone through my share of naughty visual novels where you'd rather just click click click click through the whole thing as fast as you can and still get bored, but this one stands out from all the rest.
Story: Ok (but personaly I hate cheating women ans stories about them)
Art: Good, love it very much.
Mini games: There are 3 of them in this game an no way skip them once you done them once. But poker especialy sucks since it is pure luck based.
Music: Good, loved it, especially one that plays in the night club.
Interface: For some reason there is no going back im main menu button or adjust volume.
That is it, if you can overlook those minuses than go for it. For me poker minigame ruined my mood for the rest of the day. I'd give that game So-so\Meh recommendation but there is no such button yet.

The puppy & kitten in the basket wagging their tails in sync make me smile every time. There's no reason they should, but I cannot think of the visual without hearing the "plink plink" wagging, nor can I think of the sound without seeing those two in the basket.
Yes, it's an odd thing to mention in a game I initially downloaded elsewhere for the title image alone. The music, the animations, the art, the extroverted best friend dragging the MC out of his apartment--all together made me purchase this game. It's a worthy homage & continuation of those pixelated eroge I played many moons ago.
"(P)lunge all the way!" That's the tagline of the main character's hilarious best friend, Jimmy! Playing Oppaidius will have you laugh almost from start to finish, with some touching moments and some quite hot moments, thanks to the explosive sex appeal of Serafina, the main love interest! It's a Visual Novel type game but is quite original in its own way. Let's start from the presentation: it's made to mimic the old school japanese adventures, with such a nice pixel art, mixed with hand drawn characters, beautiful effects anche clever uses of the media (we can say that the game borders on meta some time, your cursor will have a will of his own...you'll have to check it out! That's great!). The sound is top notch too, featuring also great vg musicians as Norihiko Hibino, Masashi Kageyama and Tsuyoshi Kanenko! You can really see this is a labor of love: it's love for the beautiful female figure, yes, but also for the videogames as media and art! Tons and tons of homages, a love letter to what vgs are. And through music, graphic and nice touches, you really can feel that nostalgy of past times, of a past summer, a bittersweet love that still hurts but that helped you grown up a bit. Can a ecchi game be able provoke such sensations? Yes, it can. Oppaidius is this and much more, give it a shot!
Among visual novels, this game may be the best I have ever played. The attention to detail in aesthetic design, game structure, and authenticity in sound quality bring the entire experience together for a complete nostalgia package. The art is beautifully stylized and feels like a cultural mesh of inspiration. The story and characters are mostly light-hearted with good humor mixed throughout. Finishing this game leaves the bittersweet heartache of a young summer coming to an end. This is truly a love letter to JP visual novels of the 90's, and I can't wait for more games in the future from Vittorio and crew!
Once you get past the elephant in the room and settle into playing, the story unravels into a very nice and satisfying dramedy. Subsequent play-throughs are fast and simple, achievements are satisfying and not overly challenging, and the side-games are fun and tastefully lewd. You also get your H, but you have to work for it.
This game was satisfying story-wise, length-wise, it mixed up gaming styles, hooked you with the art style, kept itself interesting, and delivered a tasteful "O" in the end even for this gal. I hope this Dev does more like this in the future - it would be a disappointment if he didn't.

If you like dating sim's you'll enjoy it. The music is really good, and the art is well drawn.
This game is actually pretty fun and pretty funny. This is game is a guilty pleasure. The game has a nice 80s-90s feel and the fanservice is very good. The story telling is pretty surprisingly good and it feels like it breaks away from cliche VN. Overall, it's fun game and it does get challenging as you try to get the achievements and endings. It's a good game to enjoy.
With Steam overflowing with low budget h-puzzle games that are just crappy cashgrabs this stuck out like a swollen.... thumb.
Solid artwork, solid gags, solid oppai. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a laugh and charming characters. Also charming "characters".
The music is also pretty legit.
I will keep an eye out for more games like this.
