Played this back in college on a tablet and enjoyed. Now played through again on a computer and enjoyed all over again. A nice game to play while drinking a cup of tea. Most of the puzzles are fairly easy to figure out. A few stumped me and I had to leave and come back with a brain reset to figure out.
Great game, and works flawlessly on the Steam Deck! Relaxing and fun, it really gets me into a calm state.
The exploration in the Dark concept is extremely well executed. The Puzzles are fun to solve.
It's cute and interesting, but controls can a bit clunky on a mouse. The best approach is to click on the object, keep the mouse button pressed, and move the mouse to where you want the beam to point. But if you click, release the button and press it again to aim, then the beam won't be aligned with the mouse and it's very annoying. Took me some time to realize all that, I almost dropped the game because of that.

God of Light : Remastered is a simple puzzle game in which you help Shiny the light orb bring light back to the trees.
The puzzles themselves fairly easy and the "challenge" comes from most of the puzzle's elements being hidden when you start. Once you can actually see the puzzle, figuring out how to complete it is easy. You get all one hundred fifty levels and the six themed worlds, same as the mobile version, with each world introducing a few new mechanics. I really enjoy the art of this game and I don't think it would have the same charm without it.
God of Light was one of my favorite mobile games and I think its worth the money, I highly recommended the people who love puzzle game. 10/10
I gave it a try but but I feel the novelty is a bit dated. The puzzle aspect is weak, but the atmosphere is good.

Gameplay: Easy, at your own pace
Approx. Hours to complete game: For me, 15 hours, even with maxing each level -- just because.
It's a nice small game to just try out.
Also, it's an easy game to beat and collect Achievements if you're a Perfect Game Hunter, with mine logged at about 15.1 hours. Have fun!
Requires replaying levels to collect the required amount of crystals.

Meh. It's basically a 1:1 port of the original, which is a mobile game. Alright, not fantastic.
God of Light is a rather simple puzzle game in which you control a beam of light. It's played with the mouse, which you mostly use to rotate, slide and occasionally teleport various objects. It has mirrors, black holes, splitters, colour changers, all the usual mechanics. Once you strip away the art, it's a really simple game.
That also brings me to my next point. The game, along with being rather simplistic, is also fairly easy. The "challenge" mostly comes from the fact that most of the puzzle is hidden when you start. Once you can actually see the puzzle, figuring out how to complete it is trivial. To me, that is a rather big issue for puzzle games. Having said that, other players may enjoy the lower difficulty.
The game's length is reasonable for the price. One hundred fifty levels spread across six themed worlds, same as the mobile version. Each introduces a few new mechanics.
Art-wise, the game is... well, again, it's God of Light. Look at the screenshots. That's basically what the game looks like. Personally not a fan of the new design of the character, but oh well.
The game lacks a few QoL features that would be nice. Stuff like the ability to see teleport connections, lock orientations of mirrors. Basic stuff.
All in all, I give it a recommendation for people looking for a simple puzzle game. If you want something harder, look into Zachtronics or The Talos Principle instead.
Before this game release on steam, i play it on mobile which download at playstore, its really good game, sadly it only have 3 different game worlds.
But then, when i heard that the remastered version (which release another 3 different game world) of God of Light has released on steam, Im so excited to buy it and play it again.
Its worth to buy this game, I highly recommended the people who truly love puzzle game. 10/10
Really GREAT little game.
One of my favourite mobile games but I never had a chance to finish it. My only beef with the game is one level on the Azure Tree because of how much finesse you need to get the light beams to go through but other than that, the game is perfection. 10/10.
A nice 2D light-based puzzle game. A lot of content and new tools to learn and combine, great aestetic.
Nice little game. completed in 7 hours, there was more puzzles than i expected. Nice variety of mechanics.
The last few puzzles might be tricky to complete fully without help, but generally not too hard.
great if you just want to do some puzzling a few hours.
