99% OF ARCHEOLOGISTS QUIT BEFORE THEY FIND A HERCULES GAME ON SALE
This mobile-port-looking game has a solid amount of depth for a puzzle game. Definitely worth it when on sale (which is how I got it).
Really great and engaging game play. My only complaint is that the game is pretty short. 7 hours of in game time and not all of that was actually me playing but some AFK. I really did enjoy the game but I would recommend you wait to purchase it until its on sale.
Pleasant time-filler game.

Cute and easy short game. 100% done with the achievements in less than 9 hours...and I took my time. =)
This is most certainly an on sale kind of game for a $1 or less.
I think I paid .50 for this game. It's dumb, like a little phone game but I've played it on 3 different occasions in the last week so there is something interesting enough about it.

Well polished and vibrant graphics. Took me approximately 8 hours to complete the entire game and get all the trophies and Steam achievements. HIGHLY recommended!
Pretty much like the original Gnomes Garden with different graphics and a different story. The later Gnomes Garden games and the 12 Labours series are better games but if you are looking for some more of the same and an easy 100%, it's definitely worth picking up when on sale.

Great game. However, the four final achievements are broken on steam. Kind of a disappointment.
If you miss your old-school time-management game, this is a good game to get rid of your boredom.
This is a light casual game, so if you're expecting a thrilling experience from it, you gotta find another game.

This was my very first casual time and resource management experience. I have been hooked on the genre ever since. The graphics are cute, animations flow nicely, audio fits the theme and gameplay is smooth. Overall, it is a well polished game. The constant feeling of progression really drew me in. If you are looking for a light hearted, casual journey with puzzle elements and some management aspects, then you will enjoy this game. Also, I played this one offline, but it took about 6 hours to complete which means it is fairly priced.
Fun time management game and sets the right amount of challenge so you don't beat every level with 3 stars the first time. You actually have to strategic in how to build things. Just because you can level up your materials to the highest doesn't mean you have to. Some of the sounds get annoying after awhile so you may want to play with sound lower or off.
It took me about 6 hours to clear all the levels. It is much more simple and casual than the Hercules games (my favorite games in this genre), but I still recommend Lost Artifacts for the price I paid ($0.49). If there's a sequel, I'd like to see more challenge and depth to the levels. I'd also like to see the devs clean up some dead ends. For example, I had to restart a couple of levels because if you choose the wrong upgrade path, you don't have the necessary resources to clear or build a required structure. At this point, there's nothing to do but restart because all the time in the world won't get you that one resource you lack. I view this as a design flaw. If you choose to upgrade X before building Y, this shouldn't eliminate your ability to clear the level. These types of game, at their best, are all about optimization and timing. Taking a wrong turn should adversely affect your time, not lock you out of completing the level. But other than that, this was casual - though ultimately forgettable - fun for the money. 6/10 from me.
im not even sure what happened to me during the time of playing this game. so i bought the game for a very modest price of 73 cents i believe and decided oh what the heck lets just give a go.
so i'm playing the game and its a great game but as for a story- as well, it really doesn't have much of one. games real easy to get into. perfect casual game if you ask me. i sunk over 20 hours into it in 2 days.
finally beat the game during day 2 of playing and my life finally feels complete. there is just something about this game that i enjoyed immensely and i'm not sure what game ill become as addicted to in any category let alone casual. thank you for taking close to 1 day of my life in a 2 day period.
would definitely go back and pay full price. but i'm hoping to not play the game again as i cannot get enough of it. and i don't doubt that i will end up replaying it. please keep me away.
Is it boring? Yes. Is it repetitive? Yes. Is it worth full price? No. So... if it is on sale and if you have run out of the better games of this genre and if you are obsessive compulsive then buy it. But only with those conditions met do I recommend it. To be completely fair: it could have been worse.
Lost Artifacts is a very solid casual game. You have to help a tribe find artifacts stolen by evil witch doctor (sure why not) . The puzzles, fun, relaxing, enjoyable game. Much replayability. The only issue is that I couldn't not get to timer to slow down. keeping me from my last trophy. No worries. They game is still fun. This one should be in your collection. Super high up.
Lost Artifacts - Ancient Tribe Survival is a very fun time/resource management game similair to the 12 Labors of Hercules series. It has an okay-ish story, nice graphics, and fast paced gameplay. It's a very good game if you like the genre you should buy it.
I haven't played a time management game for a while, and decided to give this a try. I was surprised to discover that it's almost identical to Gnome's Garden. Even the same sound effects. Things have been renamed. The firemen from GG are warriors here, but serve the same purposes--chasing away thieves and watering trees. Except that in this game the trees are statues! Why do we need to fix a well so the warriors can water a statue?! I glanced at a couple other reviews. (I don't normally like to do that, for fear it will influence mine.) Someone mentioned that the Champion achievement is broken--just like it is in Gnome's Garden. If this is on sale for under $1, and you don't already own Gnome's Garden, you might like this.
A repetitive but fun game where you collect resources to build up a small area until you hit the completion objective. However, a lot of time is spent waiting for farms or sawmills to reset, so you can collect resources again. Fun for a few minutes, but not worth the time after the tutorial missions.
I just picked this up yesterday while it was on sale for under $1 and already spent 8+ hours with this 3 star strategy game. When I say '3 star' I mean it's one of those small games that just get's so addicting you must clear each level with a full 3 stars and challenge yourself to be as quick as you can, making all the right clicks at the right time to complete all your goals before the timer runs out.
I paid for this game and its now become my go-to-game in the morning with coffee - while my brain is waking up! I recommend this game for those who just need a break at night before bed to wind down, or to have something to do on those raining mornings with a good cup of joe. Fun, addicting, and well worth the few bucks.

Firstly I want to state that I hate writing a negative review.
However, though it's not a bad game if you enjoy Hercules-like games, Lost Artifacts - Ancient Tribe Survival suffers from a unforgivable glitch if you played the game since its release. The "Champion" achievement (=collecting all trophies) is broken on Steam, even though it perfectly works in-game.
To me it's not a reason serious enough to put a thumb down to a game and my only reason to be that disappointed today is the lack of appropriate answer from the dev team members to all the gamers who bought their game and who are complaining about this on a discussion thread..
I don't know if the developpers are aware of that discussion topic. A dozen of gamers or so have reported this bug and have been waiting for weeks for some kind of fix or at least an answer from dev team.. but nothing, as if the developpers didn't care.
I bought Lost Artifacts - Ancient Tribe Survival as soon as it was released with no hesitation only because I did enjoy a games serie from the same team.
If the team keeps on remaining silent about that achievement related bug I know I'll pass on their next games, at least untill I've had some feedbacks. That's not a big deal since there are a lot of games of that kind out there on the Steam store, whose achievements are unlocking correctly.
Apart from that specific point, if you are not an achievement hunter and don't care about those, then Lost Artifacts - Ancient Tribe Survival is a casual game, somewhat enjoyable.
EDIT : I've just noticed that there seems to be a developper's answer on the mentionned thread like 2 weeks ago. Now let's wait and see..
2nd EDIT : Weeks later..
There's been an update! "Hurray" would you think? Well.. actually, forget about it !! Launched the game, replayed a couple of levels but "Champion" achievement still won't unlock on Steam. Dunno if we are supposed to create another profile and give the whole game another playthrough. I don't know and I don't think I'm gonna try. I'm tired of all this. I will just forget about both the developper and the publisher for their lack of reliability and I will never ever buy one of their games.

D'abord je tiens à préciser que je n'aime pas poster un avis négatif sur un jeu.
Cependant, alors même que ce n'est pas un mauvais jeu dans le genre "Hercules", Lost Artifacts - Ancient Tribe Survival souffre d'un problème intolérable si vous avez joué le jeu peu de temps après sa mise en vente sur le Steam store : le succès "Champion" (=ramasser tous les trophées) ne fonctionne pas sur Steam alors qu'il marche dans le jeu.
De mon point de vue ce n'est pas une raison suffisante pour mettre un pouce négatif et ma déception aujourd'hui tient surtout à l'absence de réponse adequate des développeurs à tous les joueurs qui ont acheté leur jeu et qui s'en plaignent sur un des fils de discussion du jeu.
J'ignore si les développeurs sont conscients de ce fil de discussion. Près d'une douzaine de joueurs ont signalé ce bug et attendent depuis des semaines une solution ou au moins une réponse de l'équipe.. Mais il ne se passe rien, comme si l'équipe n'en avait que faire.
J'ai acheté Lost Artifacts - Ancient Tribe Survival dès sa sortie sans hésiter car j'avais aimé une sériede jeux du même genre de la même équipe.
Si l'équipe garde le silence sur ce problème de succès qui ne fonctionne pas, je n'achèterai pas leur(s) prochain(s) jeu(x) ou en tout cas pas avant d'avoir lu quelques retours. Et ce n'est pas un grand problème car le Steam Store est truffé de petits jeux de ce genre dont les succès fonctionnent tous très bien.
Mis à part ce point précis, pour ceux que les succès n'intéressent pas, Lost Artifacts - Ancient Tribe Survival peut être un jeu sympa.
EDIT : Je viens juste de remarquer qu'il y aurait une réponse d'un développeur sur le fil de discussion en question. Attendons de voir...

Il y a enfin eu une mise à jour! "Hourrah" diriez-vous?? Ne rêvez pas !! J'ai lancé le jeu, rejoué quelques niveaux, mais le succès "Champion" ne se débloque toujours pas sur Steam. Je ne sais pas si l'on est censé créer un nouveau profile et rejouer le jeu dans son intégralité. Je ne sais pas et ne pense pas essayer, j'en ai plein le dos de tout ça. Tout ce que je vais faire est définitivement oublier ce développeur et l'éditeur, en raison de leur manque de sérieux. Plus jamais je n'acheterai un de leurs jeux.
