The sun is setting behind the horizon and night will soon fall. With no immediate means of escape, perhaps all that's left is to attempt to feel some connection with the world at the end of it all.
Far from Noise is a single-player narrative told through dialogue choices. As day fades to night, experience quiet moments of interaction with a variety of creatures and witness the transformative forces of nature as they happen around you. Through conversation with a welcome companion, begin to discover your reasons for being out there, your relationship with the world, life and death, and if you'll see tomorrow.
Includes
- A dynamic, naturally flowing conversation
- Multiple endings driven by choices that shape the narrative
- An original musical score by Geoff Lentin that flows with the story
- A rich landscape that shifts and fades as time progresses
- Narrative events that change on multiple playthroughs

I do not like the character or the choices you have in her responses.
Mixed opinions on the game, but I did semi-enjoy it overall, hence the recommend.
Definitely get this on sale. It's pretty short (my playtime is one playthrough) and what appears on your screen barely changes for the rest of the game. Just take a look at a screenshot and that's literally the whole thing. If it looks and sounds intriguing, maybe try it, but again, I would not recommend getting it at full price with what is given. This should be at most $5, and I feel like that's still pushing it.
The camera angle stays the same most of the time, and the only things that will change are like the wind, the sun setting/rising, wind, some animals appearing, little things like that. Having this mostly-static screen gets pretty boring quickly, and doesn't justify the price tag.
I also didn't like the vague ending of the game, but I get that this is the point, and this is just a personal preference.
What I do like is that there are different dialogue choices and it gives this some replayability. The writing itself is good and genuinely funny at times. The characters are charming in their own ways as well. I guess the simplicity of the mostly-static screen helps the player focus on the dialogue, which is the main strength of the game. Just wish there was more substance. I don't know if I would play this again.
Interesting concept, but held back by mediocre execution.
I agree this game offers a somewhat unique experience with poetry writing. But it has pacing issues, such as big pauses between dialogue and scenes. It touches on various themes, but some of them were big miss to me. Those made me feel bored during some parts of the story.
The visual is great and match the story, although it feels too static at times. The music somewhat helps enhance the story, but it's not outstanding either. If Far from Noise still interests you, consider buying it on sale. And personally, I'd rather leave a "Neutral" or "Informative" rather than "Recommended".
Loved it back when i flew a flag on the seas and still love it now while living an honest life.
I usually enjoy games like this. I find them calming and nice, but this was straight out boring...
In fact i have never seen such a boring game ever..
Its pretty,, but.. your view dont even change..
If you want to be bored to death its easy achievements i guess, but damn it takes long time, and several playthoughs .. zZzZz
A short, introspective experience that had me thinking profoundly at times, but most other times, thinking how farfetched and unintuitive the scenario was.
There isn't much to interact with, but that's what it's like Far from Noise. There are no spoilers to be had, nothing truly happens or is resolved. You're left only with the invitation to take in the moment, to take your time, and experience it, examine it.
That's more rare and special than it seems.
So is this game.
This game can easily be played in a single, 90-minute session. It evokes games like Night In The Woods and Kentucky Route Zero with its focus on dialogue and introspection. It has the writing style of the former, and the dreamlike vibe of the latter. If you would like a moment to reflect in a market of games that are demanding your attention and intense focus for increasing amounts of time, I think this one is worth it.
Far From Noise is a very beautiful narrative game who's talking about life and death with a touch of poetry. The designs are stunning and the soundtrack is relaxing and peaceful... I highly recommend it!!! ❤️❤️❤️
It really makes you think
