Another good game in this series that incorporates mythology well and is fun to play. It's pretty quick to play through, and easy to get 100% achievements, so I would recommend buying on sale (and possibly in a bundle as the other games in this series are good too). Loki was a scary enough villain, the art was good, and I was interested the entire way through. All around a solid game, and my only critique is that it was weird to see the Hephaestus avatar from the previous game playing an inn keeper in this one, this seems like a small mistake that could have been easily fixed.
mindless simple point and click hidden object, not bad but honestly not worth the price especially that im reading its a free mobile game? not sure if thats true but other than the nice artwork id really wait for a sale to have this be worth it
really fun use of nordic mythology and some really fun puzzles. through this series though, i keep seeing the emergence of remember and repeat minigames which are just no fun to me because they require no logic, just remembering a sequence. but on the whole, i really enjoyed this game!
Fun to play if you like story games with hidden object puzzles in them. I enjoyed the story and the puzzles.
Endless Fables 2: Frozen Path is quite its story and experience. Upon entering the game, you have the map from the get-go. As it is on the much later side of release, detection for collectibles is available and combination of items are fairly common. It can be noticed that some elements of animation is in 3D.
Perhaps some of the puzzles were alright for a 2017 game, but this game has no voice narrations in between areas. There is only voices between two of the characters talking. Some of the dialogues also adopted its appearance on past AM games, where they appear on square pop-ups and you can select a response. Achievements-wise, they were not difficult but not easy either. You have to play the extra story to complete all achievements, so you have to be attentive because some of the collectibles are hard to be noticed.
I have played this game for nearly 3 hours, with one achievement missed, and little more than 3 hours to complete the said achievement for a 100% run. By experience, this game definitely ranks itself a personal 8/10 for me, and still a sure recommend.
I am pleased to say this seems to be a direct sequel to Endless Fables. I have a soft spot for game series where the same character is featured in all of the games of a series. I don't know if this will hold true for the other entries, but it's nice to see.
The story is very similar to the first, involving some famous myth or fable and the characters from that tale. It's hard sometimes to tell how much of this is taken directly from the real myth/fable and how much is stretched a little to fit into the game, but in either case I found it entertaining. This entry continues from the first in tone, I would almost even say it's slightly darker in tone, which I am not saying as a negative.
The game itself was good. I especially liked the puzzles, I found there were some I either hadn't seen at all before or at least hadn't seen in another game for a while. These games tend to have similar puzzles between them, but these had twists to them that I found more engaging and challenging to play than in some other titles. The hidden object puzzles were good too, they had ones with multiple steps as well as some where you have to use objects in the scene in a certain order to find the one item you're looking for and I really like that variety. I have been having a lot of fun with these games.
Unlike the first game, I am pleased to say that collectibles are both easier to see/find and also have an indicator built into the HUD. I did have to play through the game a second time to find them all, but that was my mistake since I could have checked the indicator in the HUD! The game contains a bonus adventure and it also has some collectibles in it, which I actually like. Bonus adventures are great, but the collectibles spread throughout them makes it feel bigger and more like a part of the main game. The bonus adventure even has new scenes included which aren't in the main game.
Overall, really good, I like this series a lot.
I did not have any technical issues with this game and this game does not have an achievement tied to difficulty.
A stereotypical Casual Hidden Object Point & Click Adventure game.
Not exactly thought-provoking. Only take a few hours to fully complete.
Mostly a bit of leisurely wholesome fun that doesn't take itself too seriously.
One of the best HOG I've played, if not the best. The quality of the art in each hidden object puzzle is actually cohesive. There is a surprising amount of animation, and the voice acting doesn't make it seem like they pulled random people from the street to line read. The non-hidden object puzzles are decent, just the usual HOG fare. The story, like with all HOGs, is pretty predictable, but it's cohesive and honestly with the good art and logical progression of events I can overlook a cookie cutter story. Highly recommend this game!
I didn't actually play this for 29 hours. I leave my games open and wander off. This is a chill and relaxing game with a good little story. I liked the puzzle games and maybe 2 or 3 times I got stuck wandering around trying to figure out which item was meant to be used. I don't like using hints or skips these days. Eventually, I figured it out.
