The girl uses magic and his sixth sense to aim at the top floor with a witch.

~ Contents ~

This game uses a second person viewpoint.

The aim is to manipulate a blind girl and aim for an exit.
In order to open the door of the exit, you need the key that is falling somewhere in the room.

Let's look for the key while using "the magic to borrow your eyes" like to be caught by the "dangerous" inhabitants living in the hall.

You can not see the walls and keys at the girl's point of view, but you can feel the aura of the inhabitants.
The aura can tell whether residents in the room are "harmless (white)" or "dangerous (red)".

You can borrow the point of view of residents using "borrowing eyes".
Walls and keys can be seen from the residents' point of view, but it can not be distinguished whether residents are "harmless" or "dangerous".

Using these, we aim at the top floor where a witch is located.

Blind Witch -Peek Window- is not primarily a game, it's an e-book with a couple of lightweight, low quality "minigames" tacked on... but 99% of your time with this will be the e-book component, and so I'll judge this "game" for what it really is. As a visual/interactive novel, this doesn't feature any notable gameplay, it's just a lot of clicking through badly written dialogue that would never have been accepted or published in print, which poses the question, "How did something this badly written end up on Steam?". Now, I know this isn't written in English, so it may seem harsh to judge the writing, but we know for a fact that if the "author" behind this E-book could write professionally, they'd be published on bookshelves, and wouldn't be resorting to paying Valve $100 to dump this book here.

Visual novels/e-books are tedious at best... imagine the best novel you ever read, be that Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy or 2001: A Space Odyssey or Twilight (if you have terrible taste in literature), but then translate that to a format where the words dribble out and you have to click your mouse every time you wanted to read the next sentence, instead of just turning the pages. You'd think it was garbage.

Now imagine that experience, but with much worse writing, and you have your average Steam e-book.

You can get better quality books and comics for free online or from public libraries, or from bookstores for a fraction of the price of this "game". Steam isn't a comic book store, neither is it Netflix, it's for games. Your gaming rig is not a Kindle. It's impossible for me to recommend things to PC gamers that aren't really games.

From a technical perspective, the minigame components don't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.

There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee the minigames will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision.

The minigames feature lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making them look like barely functional 3D games from the 1990s. It's unclear why the author wasn't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the minigames, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with.

PC gamers will be insulted by the presence of console peasant children's toy controller prompts for clicking through the E-book text, despite this being on PC. E-book authors should try to be aware which platform they're developing for.

These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.

The poor quality of this E-Book is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak reader number was only 4 readers. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only reader activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality E-Book is to be expected.

Blind Witch -Peek Window- has the laughable price of around $5 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam.
