Constantly crashes on a msi STEALTH and MSI Katana 15, not worth the money.
If your in the mix of planning, or renovating a building project, studying architecture, or 3d design, this is not the software for you. it constantly freezes and crashes, I have about 10 hours on this software now and not even finished the floor plan yet. This is not a user issue it is the software.
I now use roomsketcher, its more basic, and more expensive but it does what I need. The time I have saved was worth the extra cost. Steam wont refund you if you have used it for more than 1 hour, so find something better.
Horrible soft wear. Not user friendly and very outdated. Wish I had read the review before purchasing. A total waste of money and time
The program was written and designed in German for the European market. The English translations are lacking somewhat, and fractional feet are poorly implemented. Online documentation is, likewise, substandard. Included files, cross-sections, and materials have German filenames with no translation.
Wall creation in the program allows you to draw lines and command points, but not dimension on-the-fly. Switching between and drawing different wall types is cumbersome and non-intuitive. There are no context-specific menus or hotkeys; each menu header requires mouse input to activate. Key-ins are cumbersome without mnemonics.
There are no shape files for pasting furniture, to include bathroom or kitchen hardware. Cabinets, couches, beds, and other furniture is not included with this program.
This is not a professional program. If you're looking for something to create external building models, this may work. Any interior shots or renders would be better suited to other professional or hobbyist programs.
Very user-unfriendly. It took almost 2 hours just to somewhat get a feel for how it works. Very outdated. Just go use floorplanner.com for free, it works better, looks better, and you know.. free.
very limited working options and bad software support etc
I bought Home Architect 3D on steam, and after an hour of fiddling I only got more frustrated. It sends me to their YouTube channel, but the app which is explained is different from this one. I'm so very much frustrated. I'm no architect, anything like this is mostly new to me, but it doesn't seem to require such expertise, it's just clumsy and clunky. It's so very much annoying!
I wish there were video tutorials for the app I have, it's absolutely possible that it's ok after learning while not being intuitively comprehensible. I wish it was as intuitive and easy as text or spreadsheet editors. For example, EdrawMax is very easy and intuitive, but it only provides for 2D plans, it's also expensive and much more versatile than I need.
Misleading features advertised. I purchased the product expecting to be able to add furniture but it seems its only available in the Premium version.
Absolutely outdated, old fashioned interface with extremely inconvenient controls, poor graphics, and the irritating design itself. I felt like I used a software of the mid-2000s that is really really awkward in its interface, functions, attitude to a user. I wasted 12 hours to get something from it, however, I failed and, unfortunately, Steam does not make a refund because of their 2 hours gameplay policy. Completely unsatisfied and sad. Such not user-friendly products should be a thing of the past.
