Tricolour Lovestory

Pros:
* Music ; it is nice and the upper left corner tells you what song is playing
* Price ; it is cheap even if it isn't on sale

Cons:
* English ; Probably the main problem here and its awful. Spelling errors of all kinda (peoples names, common words and places in the game- just to name a few). I feel like other reviews go into more depth on this in a better way than I could.
* Tags ; Not enough options to be a VN/dating sim as two of the tags say. There is 4 choices in total and all they do is choose what girl you get. Nothing feels very date sim like either, so I'm not sure why that tag is there.
* Crashes ; The game has crashed twice now, not sure why or how. I'm not sure if this next part is a glitch, but sometimes it wouldn't let me make a choice and it would auto pick for me (I feel like its a glitch)

ehh , i know i just prolly havent gave it a chance but too much text for me , the art is very good though ! if i have nothing to play ill give this a chance and see how its really like , but for now its boring

Tricolour Lovestory is the first Chinese visual novel ever that I've read. and even though I barely remember any details (it's been over 4 years), I remember it was fun to read most of the time. That geeky friend, I forgot his name, was quite funny and smart, and he's always got your back. Daisy is very sweet cute and funny, and I liked her scenes the most. Amazing voice actors for everyone, except the protagonist, who has no voice sadly, but that's the standard in visual novels. Violet I didn't like too much, because it was hard to relate to her.
The story itself was relatable though because it deals with real world issues, like bullying at school, fear of failure, and conflict with or even among parents.

I count the soundtrack among the better ones. and still listen to it often with other VN OST's. Hell, I'm listening to it right now, which is why I thought about reviewing this game. It's also very cheap, as is the visual novel itself.

In case you mind, I've heard the English translation is very bad. I tend to see poorly written English as unintentional comedy. There's no way to switch between English and Chinese without reinstalling the whole game, so you gotta commit. I read it in Chinese which is why it took me 200+ hours to read this 50-hour visual novel. I'd say it was worth it.

GG Story

I'm generally not into that SOL-romcom genre yet I quite enjoyed this story, it's pretty sweet and I could tell that the creators put a lot of passion into this project! Firstly, the UI is very pleasant, as well as the game's design as a whole. The art is beautiful and there's a great variety of CGs and character sprites (specifically the amount of facial expressions is splendid). I also adore the music, some of it sounds rather generic but there are a few excellent tracks as well.
Now the story is mostly fun and entertaining but has decent flaws, in my opinion. Overall, I definitely enjoyed it; mostly because I loved the characters. The heroines are both great (they honestly had more chemistry with each other than with the protag, which is awesome XD) and I really liked that the rest of the characters still got a decent amount of screen time (they're all so lovely and silly). To me the main issue are the "antagonists", since most of them are too ridiculously edgy and have stupid motives. Eventually it didn't bother me as much, but it made the story feel less serious.
The plot itself is good too, nothing crazy but enjoyable, funny and lighthearted with some dark elements (many of which are surprisingly realistic). All in all I liked it (mainly the comedy), though I honestly believe that the length could've been somewhat reduced. Lastly, it's worth mentioning that the English translation is often very messy lmao, I could still easily follow the plot but the grammar was truly funny at times. Still a pretty comfy VN though.

As an English speaker: the translation was terrible and made an already slow, uninteresting plot difficult to understand and painful to read through. Even given the low price point I'd avoid.

Game was difficult to get through. MC is infuriating and super dense. I'm glad I finished this game and don't have to go back into it.

Was an interesting game, though it felt like alot of the text was padding like when your writing a paper and need more words to hit word count. but overall i enjoyed the game and the story.

Boring and long and I didn't get any choice until after 9 hours of conversations

This was one of the worst stories i`ve ever read.

The episodic format clearly drowe the writers into racking up words for the school essay.
Every villain in the story is unreasonable in an "evil for the sake of being evil" kind of way, most every conflict is resolved with a deus ex machina.

The only thing that kept me reading was the hilariously bad translation
Ranging from: Are you "the fking children" or are you "fking the children" grammar guys, it`s important.
To characters randomly switching sides in the middle of an argument (yeah i have no idea how that even happened)
All the way to: I think the poet is retarded.

That took longer than I expected.
