Cute little card game. But do yourself the favor and disable the audio. I have never heard such an annoying soundtrack in my life.
Bought it on sale for a dollar and it was worth every penny. 10/10, would crush sheep with a Meteor again. About to 100% the game, was a fun challenge while not particularly unfair. Only had 1 achievement I really needed to grind for.
Bought this game because it was on sale for $1. It is so hard to even read the cards. Every time I try to, the game thinks I want to play the card when all I want to do is read it. Why couldn’t they just allow players to read the cards by right-clicking with the mouse? The developers should have allowed players to change the keybinds in this game, instead of the awful keyboard button choices they went with. For example, I wish the “Escape” key would be the default “close” and/or “go back” key but instead you have to press V, Q, or manually click on the X in menus. This honestly might be one of the worst user interfaces I have experienced, and the game itself is pretty awful - your deck size is tiny and there are so many useless/awful cards in it.
A wonderful Solitare like Japanese card game about sheep.
Story mode is dark.
Works on Steam Deck.
It's a fun card game that's a challenge. Like any card game, there's a chance that randomness will bite you in the wool and make you lose a run. This is especially true in the "Post Loves" mode. These challenges are more difficult than the standard game. The length of the runs in challenge mode isn't too long, especially once you get used to the cards.
The interface isn't terrible but it's got some quirks in it that can be annoying, but nothing that should likely stop you from playing the game. What might be more likely to be a problem is the card text size, especially if you're playing this on a smaller screen, like say your Steam Deck in portable mode, but if playing it docked to a PC monitor or TV, it probably will be fine.
Overall, I do recommend the game. It's only $5 and you'll know pretty quick if it's the kind of game you'll enjoy so easy refund well within the 2-hour time limit if you decide it's not for you.
Hard to comment on the card game aspect when the UI is so utterly garbage. Game itself is meh. Simple, very heavily influenced by random chance, ok beginner solitaire game but nothing special.
The game's certainly a one trick sheep, but it's fun enough while it lasts. Worth a dollar or two on sale.
This is a digital implementation of a physical single-player card game. The game itself is light but seems like it could be decent enough fun. The port is of atrocious quality, being cumbersome to play with awkward controls and cards that are difficult to read and distinguish the artwork of.
This game is a gimmick.
Cute artwork and theme, but the gameplay is very linear.
Keyboard and mouse controls are atrocious.
There's no resolution settings.
And that dumb kindergarten song that's in the trailer keeps repeating throughout the game.
Seriously, FUCK that song.
i spent 59 minutes to complete the basic mode of the game, and the challenge mode and more are waiting for me.
the graphic and BGM of the game are exactly same as sheep: nice, cute, and soft.
the difficulty of the game is well tuned, you will face challenges while playing, but eventually, you can win the game after a few trials.
and there are a few tips for newcomers:
1. you win the game by having one 1000-sheep card, not by having a total of 1000 or more sheep
2. to win the game, the last card you play must be a Dominion, and there are 2 Dominion and 1 All-purpose Sheep in the deck
3. play Inspiration early
4. discard Shephion with Planning Sheep in the first round
5. consider play All-purpose Sheep on Planning Sheep or Sheep Dog when needed
6. play Fill the Earth and than play Meteor, Storm, and Falling Rock
7. play bad cards when they have no effects (play Slump when you have only 1 sheep card and Crowding when you have 2 sheep cards or less)
8. play severe bad cards when their effect is less (play Lightning when all your sheep cards are 1-sheep, play Plague when you have one 1-sheep card)
9. enjoy the cute and fluffy sheep~
I thought this is just a casual game to pass time, but the frustrating control coupled with the nigh impossible chance to win makes the game absolutely no fun at all. Like half the deck is "increase 1 with condition" while the other half of the deck is "decease multiples freely". You start at 1, get to 1000. Throughout the entire game, your hand has 5 cards, but 3 of them instantly make you lose while 2 does little to nothing. Just simple math can tell how impossible this game is, regardless of "skill".
I would rather play Windows Solitaire.
Found this game when Watame played it, honestly pretty dang fun. It's more of a randomly generated puzzle game. You have a deck with a set amount of bad event cards that you have to play around in order to win. Big problem with this kind of game is how sometimes RNG just screws you over and gives you a 0% chance of winning. The chances of that are about once out of 5 or 6 games, and since you can try an infinite amount of times, it's not that bad in my opinion.
What I'm most annoyed about is that after I play it a few times the next time I start the game the screen is just black. I can still control it it's just the display that disappeared. I have to reinstall the game to fix it, but since the game size is so tiny, the download is done almost instantly so it's not much of a bother. I'm not sure if it's a problem on my side or the game.
I play this game on my phone all the time on the treadmill and it helps me last longer, so + for that. actually, I personally prefer the mobile version over the PC version. It's much more comfortable to play and much more convenient too. It even has a free version where you can play the basic mode 5 times a day.
Overall I recommend it, it's a nice change of pace and offers a good challenge.
I just don't get it. Maybe I'm an idiot maybe I just don't have the patience I don't know. But I do know that I don't have fun trying to understand this. Behind a dozen UX issues lies the fact that half the deck is bad events and every round ends with me having no sheep and no fun.
Nicely designed game, cute cards, some interesting challenges. Short, but it doesn't need to be longer. Would recommend, though I would advise turning the sound off.
Only problem is there is an occasional bug with the inspiration card where I can't select anything and I have to restart the game.
Cool concept but poor execution. The rules on how some of the cards work is pretty unclear at first. Most games lead to the player simply getting screwed by RNG. This is partially due to the fact that the deck doesn't reshuffle until you use every card in your hand. Since most of the deck is "bad event" cards, being forced to use your whole hand when the deck runs out usually leads to the player being forced to kill all their own sheep and lose.
I'm sure this could be a fun game to casually pass a little time, but the learning curve seems rather steep for what's meant to be a casual card game. The illustrations on the card are cute, but they and the non-English text leave precious little room to read what the card actually does, and the user interface is so poorly designed that it takes actual work just to select each card, view each card, stop viewing each card, and then eventually make your choice. This game held my attention for a little while because I wanted so much to like it, but, in the end, I just couldn't get into the game, the gameplay itself taxed my patience more than it should have, and eventually it just all seemed so pointless.
SHEEP!!!!!
This somewhat complicated card game is a must play for anyone looking for a challenge! Your decisions will affect the fate of your herd, so be careful! One wrong move will cost you the game in some cases... From its charming art style to its impossible story mode, there is no wonder of why this game is so fun!
PROTECT THE SHEEP!!!!!!!
I'm sure there's a trick to this but I don't know what it is.
This feels like a game with one solution, but that solution is combined with a randomised deck that could just as easily kill you on the first turn without you having a say in it.
The event deck is so mean.
Cute sheep tho.
Strangely addictive card game at first with weird humor and artwork.
Ported from physical cards, Android, and Switch.
Much more difficult than it appears to be due to the luck of the draw.
Strategy is about managing how to take the bad cards and duplicate/combine the good ones to reach 1000 sheep.
Seems impossible at first but try Practice Mode 2 and see how to work with the 300 sheep cards to win the the other modes.
Recommend this for a quick diversion, especially if you into card games like I am.
Gets frustrating or downright impossible at times.
It's a nice little bit of Solitaire
+Cute art
+As many modes (3 plus practice) as a game of this type really needs.
+Basic mode can be tough, but it teaches itself quickly.
-I dislike the mouse controls, the flicking motion is a bit awkward.
(a D-pad works best I have found for this game, if you can believe it)
