Love this! the bowling is awesome. This would definitely benefit being multiplayer. Having someone to bowl or play pool with would really send this to the next level. I guess for now. I will have to play on my own.
YouTube integrations doesn't work, if it did this might be good, as it is now it should be considered broken. Getting a refund.
The feature to use your own chosen music via a built-in youtube player does not work. Looking at the forums, it seems it hasn't worked for years. It's a key part of the app, most disappointing.
A decent little diddy for a dollar. Now it's free. Too dark and a bit too purple for my taste. Surely, it's just a little environment with the stock unity playstation 2 people pretending to dance, but it's not horribly lame and these futuristic brain dance experiences tend to have a lot of character to them.

danced for about 15 minutes started sweating vigorously then played some darts and mid game a sweat dribble went in my eye

Okay I was okay to pay almost nothing in order to gain a quick 100% achievement and some disco vibes based on a single simple achievement but no, since a few version the achievement does not work anymore because it is broken. This is disappointing. I cannot recommend this game. Not worth the room on hard drive while the textures are bad compared to other games.
Not much to do. Start a youtube video (in game) and listen to some real 80s music and it will help, but you'll be bored in less than 30 minutes. That's all I lasted.
Cool Game. Great atmosphere. Needs better looking women and more interaction!
I don't know why this has been getting negative reviews lately. I love it. It gives you more than one dance venue and the club has a lot of different dancers for variety. There's youtube playlist availability. A great way to get moving to your favourite tracks. Could it be improved? Of course it could but it's only a few euro and there's nothing better at the moment.
The clubs are cool and nicely creawted. The street view is also cool. Please fix the characters though!!! I think the characters should be dressed in 80's cloths and look more like they fit the era. The models are ugly and weird looking. Especially the dudes, WTF, they are so creepy. Everyone in this club is so creepy and strange. There is no avatar editor, which would be hella fun. You could see what your own avatar looks like in a mirror. Just like in RecRoom, but with way more options for hair, cloths, accessories, etc. Lastly, I will repeat the other comments and say that the characters need more interaction. It would be amazing to meet your friends in the 80s clubs, so please add the multiplayer option.
Boring simulation. No real 80’s songs just some made up nonsense. Being on a dance floor with a black nah of bots is not entertaining. Would be good if other players could’ve interact.
What a guilty pleasure. I have my favourite club, and I pipe my own music in (as you can turn off theirs) and I dance like no one is watching....
Like others i think there is a big need for more interaction with people and maybe things. The atmosphere is realy good and everthing looks very immersive. But as long there is no interaction , this experience is not so good as is could be. It would be nice for example to go to the DJ and interact wirh him to change the songs, or that you can invite someone to dance wirh you , or you can tell someone to leave the Disco. Also important is that there are more diversity in the dance moves , because after a while , the people look like they are in a timeloop. And maybe a little bit rework of the faces , because some of the people look really creapy....
Also would be great to see maybe some more settings like a 70´s Diso or a 50 ´s Setting. Something like your personal Disco time machine.
Finaly i think the concept has good potential when a few things will be add in the future. Just to see for example how was the atmosphere in a disco at the specific time....
So you think you can dance? Obviously, you don't need VR to dance and this game will add nothing but visual effects to your dancing. You won't learn a dance and you won't dance with anybody. However, you can dance with yourself and see a disco setting. There should be more dancers in the dance floor, but it's great to listen to music using the Youtube browser and just be silly. Nice visual effects (although it could be more realistic looking)
I played with the Oculus Rift and touch support worked fine. I just wish the game would encourage you to mirror a dancer on the floor or at least give you the appearance of a dance partner. The avatars do not change their dance "settings" regardless of the song. Hope dev adds ability to play your own songs locally and multiplayer.

Click the ingame menu, search studio 54 disco music on the youtube popup, press play to a 50+ playlist and dance the night away with the hot chick with black hair, short skirt and black stockings on the dance floor. Just push her gym bunny boyfriend out of the way (well stand in his place in any case)
Add more people, flashing squares dance floor and light effects of the disco ball you have a winner. Oh and access to the bathrooms and all the blow!

As it is right now it is a rather boring dance club with no interaction at all unlike Personal Disco. but for the price I guess it's ok. I am sort of on the fence with this product so I cannot really recommend it.
This game reminds me of one of my favorite original Xbox games called Xbox Music Mixer. I'd been wondering how cool that game would be in VR. A VR nightclub where you could play your own tunes and relax.
In fact my search for such an experience led me to Disco Time 80's VR. There's no gameplay here. You're just listening to music in a VR danceclub watching people dance and maybe dancing yourself. If this is not your thing that's understandable. But it's a VR experience that i enjoy greatly and I'm thrilled with this title.
This VR experience is very well crafted and the dancing moves, graphics and atmosphere are excellent.
If i could change anything, I'd like to see an easier way to change/play your own music from inside the program and it would be cool to have large display monitors in this club maybe with an option to add images from my PC.
P.S. Combining Phil Collins "In the air tonight" with Disco Time 80s VR was a mind blowing experience.
A bare bones experience that offers no customization or interaction, other than the ability to move around the disco.
Some of the npcs are reused. In general they don't look too bad, but it would be nice if we could add/subtract and place npcs at will.
On the dance floor there are only two girls dancing alone. It would be nice if I could go up to one of the couples and tap a guy on the shoulder so i could dismiss him and take his place. It would also be nice if when dancing next to an avatar they respond to you.
It would be great if you could sit in a chair or on a bar stool and have a drink. But you can't pick up anything in the disco. I was able to move some pool balls and the cue, but couldn't pick them up.
It would be neat if you could change venues, add/subtract adjust lighting, furniture and props.
A dance floor simulator is what I wanted and what I got, although it is bare bones and lacking in any ambition to fully realize it's potential. For $1.99 it's hard to complain, but I'd easily pay $10 if the simulator was properly fleshed out. Still looking for dance simulator but this will be a place holder until then.

Today's patch added the ability access Youtube music from within the game so you can listen to some actual Disco tunes from time's past. This was a big add to enjoying the experience. Several graphical effects were added, as well as the ability to change the lighting or have it rotate through colors. Also included were some interactible objects like light sticks, pool balls, pool stick, and drinking glasses.
The ability to get rid of all the dancers was also added, although much more useful would have been the ability to add/subtract individual dancers and perhaps assign a dance style.
