The Seasons--Journey of Lives
This is a story about lives and fate.
Four characters, each named after a different season, are confronted with decisions regarding their lives and their fate. How will they deal with their choices?
Everyone wants to change their fate.
The throbbing of spring, the reunion of summer, the oblivion of autumn, and the harshness of winter are not what they want.
Do they face their choices head on or retreat?
The journey, which is touching and inspirational, will start here.
On their journey, they hear a faint voice whisper,
“Come on, be one of us.”
Introduction:
A slightly fantastical story about the interweaving of lives and fate, it concentrates on touching and inspiring players.
Players can experience the different lives of characters in different stories.
The choices you make will never change your understanding of the whole story line, but they will impact the individual stories of each character.
This is one of the special factors in this game.Special stories and wonderful melodies will bring you new experiences throughout the game.
This game is my dream child and was primarily developed by me alone. I hope I can share joy and inspiration with you.

The Seasons is Miki Squadron Project's first visual novel, released in mid-late 2017. It is one I picked up a while ago and have wanted to read for a bit now. The concept of connecting character arcs based around the seasons intrigued me, and while I didn't go into this expecting anything particularly good, I can say I was underwhelmed.
The visual novel is split into 4 short stories, these being in the following order: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. Summer and Autumn are undeniably the better stories. Both are really solid, and you get a good sense of character and story out of them. It amazes me that Summer wasn't the opening story, and instead the weakest one (Spring) was.
The other two stories are just not good. The plot is all over the place and no effort is made to make the reader care about the characters or make them remotely interesting. I find this especially weird because Summer/Autumn actually did make these efforts and were quite good as stand alone short stories.
The art, while not my preferred style, is used really well throughout most of the acts. There's a good variety, though the image quality and resolution on some images isn't very good and takes away from the quality of the overall art. Still, it is much better than some games in its price point.
One of the biggest problems I found with this visual novel is the translation. It's not very good, and leaves much to be desired. The biggest problem with it is the apostrophe bug which adds a few spaces after an apostrophe. It's distracting and takes away from the experience. The actual quality of writing with the translation fluctuates, and has a few mistakes too. If the game was half the price, I'd be more inclined to let these issues slide, but there are plenty of cheaper visual novels that do not have these issues.
With this stuff being considered, it is an ok visual novel if only for the Summer/Autumn arcs. It does tackle some deep themes and does them with a decent amount of tact. It just wasn't for me.
Overall, The Seasons is a unique concept that has good art, but is let down by many weak elements.
My breakdown:
PROS:
+ Concept. Unique and had the potential to really deliver.
+ Art. Adds to the experience with good quantity.
+ Characters. Summer/Autumn stories characters were solid. But the rest are largely forgettable.
+ Comedic. I loved the humour in Autumn.
CONS:
- UI. Feels really cheap, hard to read, and misses key features like a skip button.
- Soundtrack. Weak and inoffensive.
- Translation. Rough and unrefined.
- Cost. $7.50 USD at full price, took 2 hours to 100%. Had it been cheaper, I could have recommended it.
- Choices. While Autumn/Winter were better, Spring/Summer had very little and were straight forward route selection rather than engaging.
-Scores-
Story: 6
Characters: 5
Art: 7
Music: 3
Enjoyment: 3
Overall: 4/10
tl;dr, interesting concept with potential, let down in many areas. Skip it unless on sale, and only pick up if you're interested.

Boring. Uninspiring. Slow. Devoid of Skip Button.
Wouldn't recommend to anyone.
P.S. Full price is atrocious.
Mediocre stories with mediocre art and a poor translation. There are dozens of far better options.
This visual novel is something different. At first, I didn't know what to expect from it, but it was great.
Pros:
+ Nice graphics
+ Nice characters
Neutral:
x Alright Story
Cons:
- The pacing might feel slow to some
- Overly short
Overall, it is something nice to read. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a short read.
