As much as I love boxing, and I think this is a rather fun experience, I cannot recommend this game.
There seems to be issues with hit detection, most of my uppercuts don't hit, or I had instances where my jabs and crosses would not register.
Second instance was when I was dodging the red walls, and I was well over or besides the wall, and the game would reset my score, for some reason.
Even if the game is fun, its frustrating when you see that your hard work gets reset because of something you can't even control.
After writing this review, I will refund the game
Game got abandoned 4 years ago, CEO Sam Cole doesn't give a damn about the issues that were there in 2020 already. Just went full money hungry on his subscription based FitXR.
Workout in the game is good and fun, if it works and the game doesn't put your ingame position into a wall with no way to reset it except for going into the cfg file itself. Has variation in music and patterns, tho you wont know what you get until you are already in the workout.
Played the DLC using an "alternative" method, would recommend getting the base game that way too if you are interested in it. Not worth the total of €45 and it hasn't been on sale since early 2021. BoxVR still pretends there is another DLC coming ingame
The routines really get you into a groove and it's a nice shadowboxing workout. I love that you can add your own music too. There are times where I find the VR headset riding up my face because I've got such a big grin on my face while I play this! I would recommend people get VR even if the only games they ever play are this and BeatSaber.
Superfun has great sonngs and is the perfect way to start exercising in a fun way
great workout. its like hitting mitts. i recommend putting your own track in and use some DnB mix on hard. metal or other genres are too slow. it seems to go by the drum beat. 40min DnB mix on hard and youll drop weight.
