Вьетнамская война — один из самых неоднозначных и затяжных конфликтов в истории XX столетия. Начавшись как гражданская война в Южном Вьетнаме, он перерос в масштабное противостояние на всей территории страны с участием вооруженных сил США, СССР и ряда других государств. Тактическая игра всемирно известной серии "В тылу врага" освещает страшные события той войны с точки зрения советских и американских солдат. В игре представлены две сюжетные кампании, американская и северовьетнамская.В северовьетнамской игроку предстоит управлять группой из четырех персонажей: двух русских инструкторов-диверсантов — прошедшего Вторую мировую сапера-подрывника и молодого снайпера, отправленных на территорию Южного Вьетнама для обучения солдат Вьетконга, и двух хорошо тренированных бойцов северовьетнамской армии — водителя и переводчика. В результате нападения американцев и рейнджеров армии Республики Вьетнам маленький отряд оказался на вражеской территории, и теперь ему во что бы то ни стало нужно пробиться к своим.
В американской кампании под контролем игрока будет диверсионно-разведывательная группа из пяти профессиональных американских военных: командира, пулеметчика, снайпера, гранатометчика и подрывника. Отряду необходимо будет выполнить ряд разноплановых спецзаданий: от диверсий и участия в сравнительно крупных сражениях до спасения малыми силами американских военнопленных из лагеря под Ханоем.

Very realistic. Nothing more amusing than sending a soldier crawling over a hill to retrive his helmet that got shot off. Fun game well worth checking out
this is men of war on a budget
used to be able to use dynamic campaign mod on this game before Steam similar to Call to arms which was awesome but still a great game for its time and now . Skirmish would option would have kicked a$$
good campaign, much better than red tide.
Played 9/15 missions of the campaign, 6.5 of those were entirely about controlling 6 dudes through a jungle, where you have to stealth 80%+ since you're outnumbered 10 to 1 with no reinforcements. Also, as someone who has only played this game and no other Men of War games, this is very obviously just Men of War with new guns and visuals, pretty sure all the icons are the same as well. No options for skirmish too.
Just buy the original or Assault Squad instead of this unless you really want it, especially since it costs more for some reason.
This is called Men of War: Vietnam because it is the equivalent of the torture methods used in that war.

Jungle map, vietnamians ennemies but where is the Vietnam war?
Gameplay:
It’s the same game as Men of war but with a map that looks like vietnam.
The gameplay of Men of War is not adapted to the Vietnam War.
Men of War is boring because it lacks hard battles and that’s even worse.
Graphic design:
The graphics are better but the gameplay does not allow us to enjoy it.
Men of War can't chalenge Sudden but it's better than Blitzkrieg.

Could've been good but it's a buggy mess that'll end in an experience that's mostly annoying

Buggy and extremely jank. A lot of the missions play like a montage of the least fun stealth missions from all the other games in the franchise. God help me when I try to finish it
I've been a fan of Men Of War since I was a kid, I've played them all from the oldest to the most recent, and I notice that compared to everything else I've played I found this game complicated and difficult, despite the fact that the missions are quite short and focus more on stealth combat, something I didn't like at all.
The difficulty is pure masochism: anything that splashes onto your units dies instantly.
The “Vietnamese Connection” mission is completely bugged, the map textures constantly disappear and appear until the game crashes, I found it curious that the 2nd mission in the assault squad also has problems that after a while “unity” bugs and crashes my game, good feature.
If you're a fan of this type of game, try it for nostalgia's sake; if not, don't buy it, it's not worth it.
