Чемпион арены

Can't believe how good this game holds, to this day. I'm playing it on 4k monitor and the fact that a game made in 2010 even HAS a 4k graphics option is insane. Many of the current games perform worse, which just shows how much care went into making this title.
I know it might not look very exciting to the new players, but to me it's been a comfort game for many years. Highly recommend for cozy evenings of exploring.

I played King's Bounty: Armored Princess when I was a child and it was great experience. Recently I finished it again. The game still one on the my favorite games.
I think the graphics, music, gameplay and plot fit together perfectly.
A Timeless Classic that is still as fun as it was when I was a kid. Crossworlds is the definitive King's Bounty Experiance.

Everything that is good in the original game (King's Bounty: The Legend) is enhanced in this one. It's a great extension of the concept with the same strengths and flaws. I ultimately enjoyed it.
The evolution (and peak of its era) of a unique genre that anyone who likes RPGs or Turn-Based Strategy games should play.
I’ll never forget getting the original King’s Bounty for the first time on the Sega Genesis. I had never played anything like it: a game where you’re a hero that leads an army that roams the lands either recruiting new troops, collecting items, or fighting opposing armies. The original was an amazing experience where you collect bounties on interesting villainous characters and gather an army as well as items and abilities to collect them. The ultimate goal was to find a hidden treasure. It was an addictive game with one fatal flaw: it had an insane password system (literally dozens of alphanumeric characters) where you couldn’t tell the difference between 0s and Os (no slash in the 0, so they looked identical). I finally got to play it on PC and beat it years later, and it was about as fun as I remember it despite having played hundreds of games in between. I played HOMM III around 2000 after finding out that King’s Bounty was based on it, but the lack of the RPG elements made me like KB more.
Cut to well over a decade later when I found out about a reboot of the game. I was so psyched—updated graphics, polished gameplay, more adventures, and years of evolution of the genre. It delivered a great experience. When the sequel came out, I wondered what they were going to do. They basically took the first’s formula and then expanded everything: the spells and abilities, the locations, the enemies, the quests, the strategy, and the play styles. Then, they kept expanding this game so much (from Armored Princess to Crossworlds) that I played it over again…only to play it again with the zero-loss challenge for fun. I haven’t replayed games since I was a kid because there are so many in my library, but I couldn’t help it. I was able to beat the whole game without a single lost soldier, and that was one of my favorite all-time gaming achievements. At the time of writing, it is my all-time most-played game in my library.
The Positives
-This game is expansive. There are so many areas, spells, enemies, etc. that you will always be exploring and seeing where you can go next and what strategy you need to take to win the next battle. This is not a game where you just take one strategy, rinse, and repeat—enemies have different strengths and weaknesses, so you need to adapt accordingly.
-This game is addictive. The “one more battle” itch comes at you often, as every battle gets you more experience and opens more things to find on the map.
-This game will challenge you. You can go from steamrolling groups to getting slaughtered if you don’t pay attention. Every area has enemies of different strengths, so you have to strategize how you proceed in exploration and combat to keep moving.
-This game allows you to play the way you want. Get a tank enemy and try to win with minimal losses? You can do that. Want to build a massive army and win by attrition? You can do that. Want to cast spells that do massive damage or crowd control? You can do that. Want to have a single type of soldier or mix it up? You can do that.
-This game is fun. I never got tired of it. I couldn’t stop salivating over how much stronger I would be with another level, a new spell, or more units. I changed my strategy multiple times within each game and across games. And if you win, you can play again with a completely different set of troops and abilities for a completely different gameplay experience.
Negatives
-This is a unique turn-based-strategy RPG genre that you may or may not like. It’s not Heroes of Might and Magic, nor is it Final Fantasy. If you prefer action, you won’t like this game at all. It’s pure fantasy strategy RPG fun.
-You can still win using the same strategy or trying to brute-force the game if you want, but you run the risk of long-term failure where you can’t progress because your army’s too small. If you don’t lean into the diversity of play styles, you might get tired; if you don’t give more care to your tactics, you might get stuck and ragequit or restart. So you run those risks.
-I’m trying hard to think of negatives here. You might want the more modern touches of AAA and AAAA games that you won’t find here like end-to-end voice acting or maybe you wish there was more “King’s Bounty” (i.e., roaming enemies you get contracts to eliminate or capture) in your King’s Bounty game.
Overall, I can’t recommend this game enough. I like the whole series (the OG, the reboot, Armored Princess and Crossworlds, Warriors of the North, and Dark Side)—I didn’t see the drop-off that others stated in the latter ones; they were just smaller games that felt kind of like continued expansions (they kind of were—same engine), which I think is fine. But Armored Princess and Crossworlds are definitely the peak of this era of the series. You will either fall in love with this game (and/or maybe become addicted) or it’s not your thing. That’s okay. But I really think you should try it. If you like HOMM, there’s a decent chance you’ll like it as long as you like the single long campaign with RPG elements structure vs. the scenario-based strategy format. If you like RPGs, this is like adding the troop-gathering and turn-based strategy format elements to a regular RPG. I hope you try it and fall in love like I did. It’s really, really fun and what gaming is all about: exploring new worlds and engaging your mind to come up with the best approach to win.
"King's Bounty: Crossworlds" is a fantastic addition to the series, offering deep tactical combat, extensive character customization, and a captivating storyline. Its blend of exploration, diplomacy, and combat creates a truly immersive experience. in other words, it can be said: the game's unique world and diverse factions provide a rich and engaging setting for players to explore. With its emphasis on player choice and multiple endings, Crossworlds offers a truly replayable experience.
If you love games like Heroes of might and magic, then you would love this game.
Old buy suprisingly you don't much feel it or care.

This was a very fun game.
All I can say is how did I miss this game over a decade ago. Busy with life is my only excuse. It holds up with some of the best current RPGs and better than many. The graphical artist should have won awards for how beautiful the game looks and plays. The GUI is very user friendly and intuitive. It pulls from some of the best features of HoMM and adds many new feature that really add so much flavor and replay value. If you like RPG style games, you can't go wrong with this game.
