I liked previous cells games because it gave me a nice feeling of finding the right thread and slowly unravelling the whole puzzle. This game hardly got any of that and more of a trial and error type of endeavour, especially after the addition of multiplication tiles.
Another brilliant logic game from the creators of Hexcells! CrossCells offers a unique twist by combining numbers and deduction in a way that’s both intuitive and challenging. A great game to play in short bursts or to get lost in for hours.
I racked my brain for just over 5 hours perfecting this one...
There were a few levels that, when I realized I suddenly solved it, I'm unsure if it was because I figured it out logically or by luck. I certainly used logic for most, but all I know is all but one puzzle (level 47) was solved using logic.
All's that to say I don't think I can recommend this "logic" puzzle game on the account that it felt necessary to use brute force. It's a decent game nonetheless.
I must have bought this in a bundle at some point and never played it.
Little different than most "mine sweep" games. Little more math involved, but still basically a logic puzzle.
Done puzzles 1-45 so far. Took a break to post a review!
I really enjoyed it. GREAT PUZZLE GAME!!
Still, Tametsi is the best logic puzzle game in my opinion - hundreds of puzzles, some very challenging.
It's basic, it's easy at the start and does get more difficult.
It's a brain teaser. But don't think this is a game you can play for many many hours. It's short. Finished in under 4 hours over multiple weeks.
10/10 puzzle game
Enjoying this a lot
CrossCells
CrossCells by Matthew Brown achieves taking a simple concept or idea and making something fun and enjoyable out of it.
The mechanics of the game are intuitive, and each time a new mechanic is introduced, it is done in a clear and understandable manner.
The levels slowly increase in difficulty, and can become moderately complexe or time consuming to solve, yet they remain within a relatively casual range.
The visual aesthetics of the game are clean, polished, and of good quality.
CrossCells is overall a good quality, slightly challenging, and enjoyable puzzle game from Matthew Brown.
fine puzzle i guess;
doesn't click like the hexagons do;
just couldn't get into it
Fun Minesweeper-like logic game.
Felt like trial and error was needed for many of these puzzles but nevertheless it's an ok game. Hexcells is better imo.
Unlike Hexcell, CrossCells feels like solving algebra with multiple possible states without any internal help mechanism.
Playtime: 5.2 hrs
Nice puzzle game with simple and clean graphic design. Not very difficult but can still be a little bit challenging for a few of the levels. Pretty good for passing time in a lazy afternoon during weekends.
Fun little puzzler. Sometimes you get stuck though and everything becomes logical spaghetti, which can be frustrating.
An interesting twist on the hexcells formula, with some maths. Some puzzles do get overly convoluted with these new mechanics, but overall it's a good time.
Fun little puzzle game with varying mechanics that aren't too hard or too easy to understand. Most of the game is on the easier side, but it's not too easy to where it's boring.
7/10
Very fun; makes you think. Though it's just 3 USD full price, i think it's only worth it if you got it in a bundle.
