I enjoy a challenge as much as the next person, but when I spend to long a the tutorial, Uninstalled.
A magnificent work of art!
I highly recommend this game. This game is a thrilling adventure filled with explosive fun. I would highly recommend it to both puzzle lovers and people that wouldn't consider themselves good at puzzle games.
I've never been a big fan of puzzle games but I still love this game. The puzzles are just hard enough to provide lots of fun blowing stuff up but not too hard that I feel like I want to quit after 10 minutes.
I see lots of other reviews that don't recommend it due to the lack of content. There is now a level editor and community made maps. If you don't like the amount of levels in the game I would recommend making your own. I had so much fun making my own levels and trying to solve them (even though they where mostly impossible.
The only negative thing I have to say is that it does require a pretty decent PC, which is too be expected with such a high quality game.
Good job Pixelz Games
10/10
I really wish there was a wavy hand as well as the Thumbs up/down setting for recommendations, this IS a good game, as far as it goes, which is not very far.
The mechanics in this physics based puzzler are fun to mess about with and there are some really good ideas in the tools and possibilities in the puzzles, but there are only 28 levels. Working through the levels I felt I was still in the tutorial section, then it suddenly got hard for a few levels, then it was over.
There is some hint of a story at the start (there is a female supervisor talking to you on the first level) but that is never followed up.
To make up for the lack of game there is the level designer and steam workshop. This though has the usual problems with user level designs in that you have no idea how difficult or well made the levels will be and most of them are poorly designed or so difficult only the designer is likely to know how to complete them.
Generally this feels unfinished - a nice idea, badly let down by lack of content.
For a game about blowing stuff up with an advertised 100% destructible environment your mainly just "pushing" cubes around. The 14 levels I did play only a single level had a single object that could be destroyed a wooden scaffold.
The game annoyingly only has one solution for the levels I played and they limit your tools to do so. It is strange to take away or limit the amount just to make a simple puzzle. It is also very bad to have small and medium explosives have a shared pool instead of being separate.
The controls can't be changed leaving WASD for movement and a weird T,G,B to trigger items and Space for jump. The mouse holding right gives mouse look and left is for placing and removing tools.
This is a great fun, if short, physics puzzler and it's really a shame it seems to have been slept on. Definitely worth the asking price.
This is a $5 game. If you can get it for that, I whole-heartedly recommend it. It's a great puzzle game, but the content is pretty light. Gameplay mechanics are new and fun, and I'm a sucker for physics puzzle games. There is occationally a puzzle that's a little too obtuse in it's solvability, but I think that was 2 of the 20-some levels.
This is a game that needs 3 times the number of levels it has to be truely great, but what's there is very good.
Cefore is a physics-based puzzle game that tasks you with harvesting these big blue blocks that are scattered across level. To move these blocks you’ll utilize your arsenal of tools to either directly impact the blocks or the obstacles around them. Is the blue block on top of a tall stone pillar? Well some dynamite will certainly send it tumbling to the ground. Is the block in a hole? Perhaps using a hot air balloon will solve that problem.
I haven’t played too much of Cefore yet, but from what little I have it seems like a neat little experience. The controls are a little weird and restarting a level isn’t as quick as I would like, but these are minor inconveniences at best. So far I’m enjoying my time with it as it provides a decent challenge while allowing me the freedom to solve things the way I like. I personally choose the most explosions.
good game
Very bad dev: Does not listen to buyers, and the devs have little cofidence in their game. It is early access, move on, looks cute , plays like trash. Many more games to see.
Normely, I wouldn't even comment but this dev team seems to have bipolar. I mean they made it clear they are a teamof two. They openly curse and call people names and use vulgar profanity. Then the same day say they are nice and welcome support. Stay far away from this trash.
ITS JUST GAME [developer] 10 hours ago
We are a team of two you ♥♥♥♥ing nugget ♥♥♥♥er. We have to make decisions you idiot. Wake the ♥♥♥♥ up this isnt some triple AAA budget. Lack of dedication and love for our game? Try spending several thousand dollars on something on a period of more than 2 years if you dont love it.
♥♥♥♥ head get the ♥♥♥♥ out.
Would you want to support a company and hand over your cash to people like that?
OK, the cut and dry here is that this an Early Access game. I appreciate that, and have spent many, many, hours playing Early Access over the years. But, this one is so early in the Early Access phase, that I just cant get into it.
There is obviously a lot in development, and it has much potential, but for now, its just a little too lacking for me.
That said, once some more development has been done, and once there is more content available, I will happily return to the game, and hopefully it will become a solid and challenging game.
For the moment though, save your money and come back later.
Cool game.
I am a big fan of puzzles and this game had some really good ones!
i recommend this game fo sure!
Very fun, I really enjoy how each puzzle has a different solution rather than one as most puzzlers. Really excited for the full release. :)
I played Cefore in the first Alpha release on steam back in september, and I have to say its still a fun game.
There's a lot more improved in the early access release and with passionate devs that are quick to make fixes I most certainly see myself playing this more and more as more updates come out.
As previously mentioned it's in early access and for that reason I spend a majority of my time trying to find funny bugs, glitches and exploits to send to the devs via the super active Discord. Of course devs are more then happy to help and laugh alongside you when it comes to these such things.
Gameplay is straight forward and has a very rewarding feeling when you've completed a level, which is extra rewarding when a level is beat in a not so typical way. The progression system presents with you very cute introductions to mechanics of the game, so as to say it has very nice level pacing.
The sandbox creates a great oppurtunity to be highlighted for your creative structures, as you can turn the last 10 seconds into a gif to be displayed on the main menu, not just to yourself but everyone looking at the main menu. Not to mention it's pretty fun to just mess around in.
TL;DR its a good game, it's in alpha, you can have fun with devs.
p.s. you can get a hat of your own choosing added to the game, i.e. thread with the hat I requested
Good so far! Definitely early in development, but lots of potential.
FANTASTIC GAME!
but...
It's not worth picking up yet simply because it doesn't have enough content atm.
There are only 18 levels, which is about 1-2 hours of gameplay.
Unless you're looking for a neat physics sandbox I'd pass on this until they add more.
Picked up this game and played it on stream for about an hour and a half last night. Ran into a couple of minor glitches, forgiveable in an EA title, but otherwise had a blast (yeah, I know). The tools already in the game (are more coming?) are pretty cool and IMO innovative. Had to think outside of the box a bit to complete the puzzles. Looking forward to worlds two and three. Also, hoping to see the sandbox develop further, maybe with some set-pieces a la Besieged. Definitely recommend this one: now if you can handle EA, after release if not.
Very good puzzle game, surely the best EA title I have played - feels like a finished product.
You get to test many ways to bring down the blue blocks wihtout killing yourself and avoid the red blocks- lots of fun and there is no timer to complete the levels so no rush.
Very much recommended.
TL;DR:
Great artstyle, cutesy audio, fun gameplay, and a decent price make this a game worth getting. Even in the alpha stage, this has full game quality (though only 18 levels can be played in alpha). Launch was a bit rough with no game files present, but forgivable as Devs worked hard to get the problem fixed within 45 min. Feels like a $15+ game, when it's going for $9.

Detailed Review:
The game starts simple, introducing you to game mechanics and giving some context to the game. I dislike annoying tutorials, but this wasn't too bad, as it actually has you do stuff to learn. The main object to the game is to get certain data cubes into a small radius for collection. Sounds simple, but level progress in difficulty. Tools are unlocked as you go to aid in your task. So far I've unlocked various size bombs, a grappling winch, a device which welds blocks together, and balloons. Levels don't take terrible long to complete, but feel satisfying once you do.
Art style is very similar to Beseige. From the plain white backdrop, to the pink tress you see throughout levels. It does pretty good though. Audio is very good with some cutesy voice acting. Sounds like a cartoon character in a toddlers TV show. Controls are what you expect (which is good), with no issues to report.
I did not experience any bugs, glitches, or in game errors. Only thing worth mentioning is a not so smooth launch with missing game files. Devs got the issue fixed pretty quick. I'm surprised at how flushed out the game is while only being in alpha. Sometimes you don't see as much polish in completed games.
All in all, I recommend Cefore. It's fun, cutesy, and at times, challenging. At $9, it's a solid buy.
