Looks good and offers interesting tactical gameplay.
Original soundtrack is not working.
Some missions seem poorly balanced considering how destructive game units are designed to be.

great classic
To my mind, one of the better WW2 games, and it is Not just about the US being the Only Allied force. Great choice of units, and you play the missions how you want.
The only downside is the way you can not upgrade your units, and the lack of reinforcements when and where you need them.
I was 2004 when I first met this game, awesome.
I remember buying this game when I was a kid and playing it for hours. I was excited to rediscover it on Steam. I love this game and would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys historical RTS games.

It was my 1st PC game. i played it when i was 4 years old.
Too many glitches
The beginning of my PC gaming career. The content and great game play from SSF. https://www.sudden-strike-maps.de/ still has all the maps. if you can get a few friend this game offers endless days of game play and MP fun. use that website and get all the OG content including mods etc. This will be forever the greatest PC game ever created. I miss CDV and the games they made. sure the graphics are early 2000s and its not detailed, but based on what it is, its incredible how detailed it is. knowing tactics and lots of trial and error to become good at this game. Long live SUDDEN STRIKE FOEVER! SS SSF SS2 were the greatest games i have ever played. i wish someone could find the source codes and let this be rebooted. even without a full immersable 3D environment, the MP play and SP play is incredible. Buy its for fun, Buy to support a legend. ffs its like $6 you i paid 39.99 and i ve probably bought 5 copies and still have the CD-roms and jewell cases!
To my Life Long Friends ive made throughout this game, I still think about how we were connected globally over something joyful!
