Sweet fantasy

Well, to get the beg one out of the way, I *don't* recommend this at full price. It's too short, has too few lewd scenes, the worldbuilding is too scattered and underwhelming, and the protagonist expressly having the goal of using a 'love potion' to influence someone to choose her is kind of back and forth on whether or not it knocks this down a few pegs.

But on sale, for about 45% off? Well, depends.

Let's say we think it's cute that this girl's trying to poison her boss with a love potion. I mean, they're lesbians. That makes it cute and sexy, right? It's not like if this was a plot about a male character trying to drug a female character. That would be creepy.

This is definitely a "brain-dead" game. No mini-games, strategy, etc. Just something to play when the only thinking you want to do is reading the cues and choosing when to hit that spacebar or mouse button.

As long as you know that's what you're in for - no going in expecting a battle system or strategy game, or something - then when on sale, I have to err on the side of recommending Sweet Fantasy - if you're okay with softcore lewdness.

First off, it's kind of nice how they handle plot and choices. There's no big battle or quest to stop a great evil here. The plot is, this sapphic little dryad wants her leaves parted by her boss, and she finds an alchemy book with a love potion recipe that she then tours the forest to find. To be honest, I like the idea of a whole choices-matter game with low (or from Pumpkin's perspective, high) stakes.

The difference choices lead you to different parts of the forest, which is actually nice in my opinion- using a game genre based on menus and flavor text to create a sense of exploration.

The thing I said earlier about the drugging being okay because they're lesbians? Well, that might be meant as sarcasm, but as much as I hate to admit it, the writing and art for this somehow makes for a sense of endearment and warmth to the point of making me forget that I'm on a mission to slip drugs into somebody's soup. Pumpkin is such an easily distracted hopeless romantic with a cute enough face, and her determination and the actions she takes depending on what you choose so impressive, I wind up surrendering to the mindset of it being "okay". I find this fact disturbing about myself, but that's neither here nor there. If you like the idea of a plot where drugging someone you want to sleep with is somehow this morally reconcilable end goal of a cute sapphic journey, I definitely recommend channeling your repressed yearnings into this VN.

And heck, spoiler alert, when it happens Pumpkin just waits around to see the effect instead of trying to push it. That's definitely more courtesy than a real life sex-drugger's ever going to have.

Now, for the lewdness itself. To be honest, it requires a little imagination. There are no scenes that even so much as explicitly show a vagina. The art is more softcore, good for if you want to get some of that erotic imagination back that we know we've lost watching the XXX uncensored stuff.

And there is *only one sex scene*. That's important. Because for all the nude teasing and the one undeniably, peculiarly arousing mermaid-dryad kiss in this game, we know the main payoff we tend to come for in these adult games and 'games' and there's only one in this. And for that sex scene, the actual hardcore lewd acts are only described, not shown.

Now, if this VN were presenting itself as some hypererotic adventure, this would be a big thumbs-down for me. However, Sweet fantasy doesn't really purport to be that. It has a certain humility to it, enough that the underwhelming quantity of the erotic content isn't as much of a turnaway as it could be. At least, not for $2.74.

If you're up for some humble, softcore sapphic imagery with hardcore lemon text in the one scene after, I recommend this on sale.

Short Game at about 2 to 3 Hours. I bought it on sale for $2... While I liked the game you can find longer and better games (Like Vampire's Melody)... But I'm here to recommend this game and List the reasons FOR and AGAINST trying out this game:

PROS:

- Lots Of Artwork: There is a decent amount of high quality artwork. While I found one to be kind of disproportionate, most of the artwork is pretty decent and definitely helps with the immersion into the game.

- Multiple Choices: You can choose what to do and have a few different endings.

- Sweet But Shallow Story: This game is kind of NSWF. While not being super direct the goal if to have SEX. I usually don't like those types but this game makes it in a cute way and you DO have choices to stay loyal to your love and act in a decent and respectable manner, so I feel the love can be real and NOT just random sex. You can also interact with several other characters including a mermaid, a bird, and a smail.

CONS:

- Grammar/Readability: While we can tell that different character have different personalities, the readability isn't very good. When your are reading it can be more like reading this:

Sentence was not best. I was hoping a good time. It was nice but it couldn't be enough.

I just made up that line but you can tell it isn't that great quality... BUT as long as you have a good imagination and take time to understand you can enjoy this story. There are NOT many misspellings, but a lot of sentences could do better. For a paid game the translations/readability/grammar is bad..

- Music: Now I personally like the music. We get some bedtime music and nursery rhyme type music and that do do do do music we hear in the trailer... I FELT that the music fit nicely actually but some people may find it annoying because it's not super original...

- Short Game/Ending: The game lasted about 3 hours for me to get all the endings. It was pretty short and although we do get choices they aren't in depth. Also for the endings We are always fired in the end even with the good ending... and that is kind of annoying.

CONCLUSION:

The game is short and sweet but also shallow and not so easy to read... With that being said I LIKED the game and would recommend the game. There are still better games out there like Vampire's Melody for $1 or the FREE game Cemetery Mary. Both of them last longer.... Point being is check out some free games and if you want give this game a shot!

This is short, adorable and funny. Even if you do get an undesired ending, it's not the end of the world. I read the game in Russian and it was well written. I know this isn't exactly catered to someone like me... But I still liked the bright colors and I thought everything and everyone looked well drawn/adorable. I especially like Mr. Snail!

So if you like a girl after another girl, which then they do things: well there ya go. It is a censored game and that's good for me. I am just giving you a heads up.

I hope that if the story does continue, then everything turns good for "Tykovka/Pumpkin" and MR. SNAIL! Can't forget him!

The story is short and simple. The art, however - it's great. Really cute and you can have it both censored and uncensored.

Worth fapping to {^ω^}

If you're in for a really short story about looking for ingredients in the forest, then you're in for a good story. There isn't any real good ending and I'm not into steamy things, nevertheless, I bought it to support the author who also made VN I really like, so goal achieved I guess ?

What drew me to this VN was the art style and Pumpkin's character design. Upon the little over an hour I spent playing it, I was presented with a cute little slice of life adventure with some fanservice thrown in. However, there were a few nitpicks I had. The music was quite forgettable, and the "best" ending is still bittersweet. In the end though, nothing ever gets too serious. If you're looking for a short, casual fantasy VN to play with nice art then pick this up.

I Loved This VN very Good one too It Starts off With Dryad Named Pumpkin And she wants to Make her Partner Happy By Giving her Stuff Like Mushrooms And Flowers Fish And Acorns. She Traveled To Different places To find those Ingredients In order to make Love Poition so that she can Fall in love. Pumpkin Also Finnds Fish Human Falls in Love climbs trees Runs away form Wolves Finds crows and by Magic he can talk not giving Any Care for The Dryads Boobs haha But Yeah There diff choices and ending you Can get its Short and very fun to read I would Recc it People.

Sweet Fantasy is a really short Visual Novel that took me less then an hour to get every Ending. Normally I wouldnt be mad about that since the Game isnt that expensive, however the Story is just really not great. You play as a ditzy Dryad that works for her Mistress and wants her to love her. As a Result you decide to create a Love Potion depending on how you brew it you get all the different Endings. Since I dont want to spoil them I will not tell you more, but what I will say is that there is no real good Ending which is the Reason that I really just cant recommend this. Like that isnt the only bad thing of course, but it was the nail in the coffin for me that I really just feel like the money was wasted on this. The only redeaming good factor about this Game is the Art and the fact that the Dryad Girl is pretty cute. Everything else is just boring and for 4 Euro it is still way too much

Cute little yuri fable. Very short story but very lovely graphics throughout. Music gets repetitive very quick, but other than that I liked it.

Sweet Fantasy is a lovely and short visual novel, where you can clear in few hours. Here you´ll control the dryad Pumpkin who loves her mistress Amethyst, and she will try her best to get Amethyst love.
My personal opinion about this vn:

Cons: nothing, but if the characters is voiced, will be excellent

Conclusion: is a nice vn that worth buy and i recommend for visual novel fans

1.2h, exhausted all options, multiple 'endings' that are really just degrees of sucess along a single 'route', very very tame (but cute) art, no ecchi, overall a let down. The software is solid, works well, supports most VN features (gfx options, gallery, scrolling back, skipping, etc.) This feels like the type of product that should be given for free to promote another, real, paid-for game. It's cute, worth the time to play it, but probably not worth paying for (maybe a buck?).

As it follows from title, the game is really sweet.
Vivid colors and beautiful character design draw attention to a simple yet nice story and all this complemented by many artworks.
Explore the forest to open entire gallery, meet perverted crow, lonely mermaid and finally help Pumpkin find her way with Mistress Amethyst.

Pros:

- Girl love ecchi (if you're into that)
- Really cute, pretty artwork
- Cheap, at least
- Easy achievements

Cons:

- Poor translation
- Extremely simple, shallow story
- No character development
- Way too short
- No humor (or perhaps poorly attempted humor)

I would've just left this as a neutral review, knowing that this would be just a quick buck ecchi game, but since my feelings toward it are more negative, I guess I don't recommend it. I mean, I've posted the best of the CGs, so there's no need to buy the game unless you simply want to pay for the artwork.

Recommend or not . . . Recommend or not . . . Hmm . . .

Even as I type my review, I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this game. Did I enjoy playing it? Yes. Well, mostly. Perhaps the tried-and-true Pro's and Con's list is the way to go. Then we'll see where we land.

So first, the positives:

The art is pretty. The backgrounds are vibrant and colorful. The sprites themselves are beautiful, and the women are certainly attractive. CGs are plentiful - especially given the length of the game. There's obvious care and effort put into the artwork, but is that really enough?

If you like Yuri, that's basically the whole plot. Pumpkin is in love with her boss and wants to sleep with her. That's essentially it. I mean, there are some minor details in how we get to that point, but let's be honest; once you realize that's the objective, that's all most of us (guys) will care about. Let's make it happen!

On the negative, the story is insanely short. I was able to complete all the achievements in a little over an hour. I'm a fast reader, but even still. Many of them are for random choices in the middle of the game, so in essence there are actually only 4, or perhaps 5, endings. And one of those can be reached in 5-10 minutes.

The translation is . . . wonky. It's certainly not the worst I've ever played/read, but the grammar, verb tense, etc. is all over the place. Now, I've had games with horrible english be almost a positive for me (check out my review for Super Star). But this is in that gray area. It's bad enough that it's distracting to me, but not so far off that it's adorable. If you're reading this VN in Russian, this obviously won't apply to you.

In the end, I feel as though the playtime and general blandness of the story are enough to have me tell you to hold off on this one. At $4, I'm not sure it's worth the money. In a bundle, on a 75% sale, or received as a gift? Absolutely worth a playthrough. But just the once when you have an hour or so to kill. And you want to see green and purple nakedness.

P.S. In the game, hit TAB then type the word 'code' to unlock the nudity options. It's not exactly vital or game changing, but I mean . . . boobs . . . so . . . yeah. Might as well look at them.

Sweet Fantasy is a short visual novel where you play the part of Pumpkin, a tree nymph that has been down on her luck as of late. According to the story, dryads are notorious for being clumsy and unreliable, and poor Pumpkin is no exception. Her main objective in this story is to make her current employer "happy" -- in more ways than the word initially implies! With this, Pumpkin will go to great lengths to get Miss Amethyst (her boss) to notice her, which is the premise of this story.

As with most other visual novels, progression through this one is no different. You will be presented with various options throughout the short story, which will ultimately lead to one of four endings. The choices you will make determine just how "lucky" Pumpkin will be in her endeavors~ as this story fits into the yuri genre. While it is no overly explicit once you have managed to take the appropriate route, there is definitely no mistaking its intentions as a whole.

In Pumpkin's pursuit of true love, she will wander through a dense forest, attempting to collect certain ingredients for a love potion she happened to stumble upon. In her quest, she will encounter a few unsavory characters along the way that possess the items she is avidly searching for. The choices made affect whether Pumpkin comes away empty-handed or not. Either way, what transpires will lead to one possible ending, so you will be returning to choose another option once that route has been completed. Ultimately, the route that Pumpkin wants is to gather all needed ingredients and make Miss Amethyst fall madly in love with her! But will it truly lead to a happily-ever-after ending?!

My own impression of the visual novel was that it was a rather cute and, sometimes silly, love story. To complete all four endings should take roughly around two hours, so it is no where near on par with may other VNs out there; but then at the price point that is to be expected. If you are not a fan of yuri-type stories, then this may not be to your liking. Also, the English translation is somewhat off many times throughout, but you can ultimately determine what each character is trying to convey. However, if you enjoy looking for love and listening to catchy nursery rhymes such as "London Bridge Is Falling Down" and "Itsy Bitsy Spider", then this story might be perfect for you!

So, will poor Pumpkin succeed in her life-long dream, or will she fall flat on her face and fail miserably? That is for you to decide!

This is a short visual novel focused on yuri (girl x girl relationship). The art style is really cute, the story is simple and the English translation is… funny. I’m not a native speaker of English, and those mistakes didn’t bother me too much (they in fact made the game even funnier lol), but I don’t know about other players. I enjoyed it, and I’d love to see more works by this developer!

6/10. If you want a light and simple story to read, you might like it. But if you want something deeper and you can’t handle grammar mistakes at all, I don’t think you’ll enjoy.
