Numen is a fully three-dimensional action RPG set in mythical Greece. The player controls one of nine heroes, who in the name of the gods they follow compete in a grand test of their capabilities. Heroes who undertake a pilgrimage over the highest mountains, through valleys and deep forests, underground vaults and the scorched sand of deserts.
Numen however is no mere hack-and-slash game. It offers the player the possibility of tactical decision making, searching for enemies’ weak spots, selection of adequate weapons. It rewards those who are able to adapt to the changing situation on the battlefield. In this the player is helped by the unique powers and abilities invested in him or her by the god he or she follows, provided that the god is happy with him or her. The Olympian gods, after all, are renowned for their wanton and unpredictable nature…

Short review after 100% the game on hardest difficulty with the easiest class warrior:
I cannot recommend this game to most people with 2 exceptions, first if you are a diehard fan of old rpgs this is for your. And second if you love oldschool rpgs like everquest in their starter to mid zones then this game plays as a singleplayer version of those games. For all others this is sadly a no no.
Pros:
- Beatiful music
- Great monsters design however very few of them in the game sadly
- Decent enviroment, and character models for that time
- No handholding some things you need to figure yourself which is good
Cons:
- Pletora of bugs (random crashes, dead enemies still standing, stuck and clip on terrain)
- Barebones main quest and sidequests with pitiful rewards
- Insane price of any item at the vendor, even with grinding you will not be able to buy almost anything
- Barebones skills barely worth anything, infact as a warrior you can complete most of the game with not using a single skill except quest ones like deflect
- Most bosses are health sponges some do have atleast 1 mehanic but still not good
Only for diehard rpg fans and oldschool mmo players, for others a skip even though it was okay for me i have to be fair and see it from the view of a normal player. Still good luck to the developer.

This game plays great for as old as it is. In fact I would say better then most made in 2009! Fairly simple and not super challenging. If you enjoy a game to relax too, with a good feel for ancient Greece world, then this is your game. I like it and would say the sale price of 2 dollars is good value. Visuals, music and menu all work great. You may get blocks that look black during effects if you have integrated graphics of lower power on your laptop. I had to go into nvidia panel and set it to use my dedicated nvidia card for all to look good. Worked fine on my desktops.
