I am 32 years old.
My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.
When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.
Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.
With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.
After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.
Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.
Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.
Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.
Thank you.

RPG Maker strikes again!
Last Heroes 4 is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction.
Just like the previous games in the same series, everything is copy + pasted, badly, and the writing is terrible even compared to other RPG Maker asset flips. It's infested with spelling and grammatical errors to accompany the terrible writing. Gameplay is stupidly imbalanced and pointless. It's like someone drank a bottle of vodka, threw up, then in a blind drunken rage, filled out templates in RPG Maker.
As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The point can be made that the intention of RPG Maker is to make demos and small games to pass around friends, and shouldn't be used for "professional" game development.
Like most RPG Maker shovelware and asset flips, the game features extremely low quality copy + pasted 2D retro pixel art, looks awful, and has even worse gameplay. RPG Maker is an absolutely terrible construction kit, and never results in games of any reasonable quality or value to gamers.
Gamers who want a good retro JRPG experience would be better off playing the originals, like Final Fantasy, Star Ocean or Chrono Trigger.
Reviewing SteamDB to check how popular this game was with players reveals a surprise... there's a very healthy spike in player counts for the game. But this only appears around the same time that trading cards were applied to the game... so this is just card idlers getting their cards and moving on. A closer look at the numbers shows the game just has a couple of players every week running up the game and idling it for cards, then deleting it. We must ask how it benefits gamers for there to be so many games like this, with no merit as a serious game, that only generate sales from people idling and selling the trading cards.
Last Heroes 4 is relatively cheap at $3 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend.

HIGHLY PROFIT
not good
Just another RPG game that you should probably avoid.
shit like previous chapters...
So since I've already written a review for game #1, THIS review covers games 2 through 4.
Monsters in the first game were little moving white blobs and combat would commence if you ran into them. Also, once you killed them, they didn't re-spawn. In the future games, many of these blobs home in on you making it pretty impossible to escape them and they DO re-spawn if you leave and re-enter an area. Which means now you can power level. YAY. And if you don't want to power level, you won't have the skills you need near the end of the game. YAY.... wait. Yes, the developers have given us a way to become as strong as we want but they now expect us to work on that as well. Thankfully, since enemies are very aggressive and the two side quests you get in games 2 and 3 take you aaaaaaall the way to the back of dungeons you've already completed, you'll get to kill plenty o' stuff. I found that with a bit of extra leveling, I stayed on top of all monster situations. You should have plenty of money if you power level a bit and then you can buy lots of tonics (which restore MP), enabling your characters to use their best spells at all times. Also, every dungeon level has 2 to 3 chests with either potions/tonics, a weapon, armor of some sort, or an item that will permanently raise one of your stats a bit.
Some things are a bit of a letdown. No matter how much you level, your two main characters always start at level 1 in the next game and have to relearn all their skills. In the first game, two of your party members leave you and you get two more in game 2 to replace them.... then 2 more different ones for game 3. And every single time, those two extra party members learn the same exact skills as their predecessors in the first game. All the music is exactly the same in each game, The towns feel the same. I just don't feel like there was an effort made to individualize each story. On the plus side, I did like the dungeon music so listening to it for multiple hours in a row didn't make me want to beat my head against a wall.
The things I like about the game are the characters. They have some funny lines and I THINK I cared about what happened to them. And, though it was tedious at times, I liked that I could power level. I couldn't swat the ending bosses as quickly as I prefer but I wasn't ever worried about getting wiped. Also, if HUGE RPGs where you constantly get lost aren't your thing, the Last Heroes games are confined to a small world map. And at least it's a different world map for each game. The backgrounds for towns and dungeons, while generic, are often quite pretty.
This last game, #4, is the shortest of them all. No side quests in this one. Game 1 took me 12 hours, 2 took me 15 hours, 3 took me 10 hours, and 4 took me 8 hours. And since I power level a LOT, many of you would probably beat the game quicker.
I'm not really sure how to rate these games, honestly. I'd give them a neutral rating, if I could. I mostly enjoyed playing them but found some things highly irritating. I did play through them all so that says something. I guess if you're looking for 4 short little adventures that connect with each other, for the most part, and you don't need an epic story - you just want to run around killing things, looting chests, and occasionally listening to your party members chat - you just might want to try these out.
after last HEROES 2...they just kept on repeating the RPG MAKER CYCLE!
ITS OLD..BORING..i rather play something creative and MASTERCLASS then this garbage LOVE THE BURRITO MASTER
If you liked the first 3, you'll like this one! It wraps up the story quite neatly. It was a bit short for my taste, the play time shown is NOT accurate. I fell asleep with it running lol But, I would recommend it. If you haven't played the others, start there or the story will make zero sense.
Discovering they have been set up by the Illion Cult, Amelia and Roland return to where they began to ask for the help of their friends Viktor and Vanessa. The two agree and the group travel to Sancaro continent, the most dangerous in the world. Where the prison Amelia's mother is held is believed to be. The continent where the Illion Cult is strongest.
This is the fourth and final part of the Last Heroes saga. Here the company of friends will find the answers to mysteries, and end grave threats.
Gameplay is the same as the other installments. And the cards look well enough. Still wish there were achievements, but you make do with what you get.
