characters, art style, and atmosphere is very similar to spongebob or any nicolodeon show. dr sea urcin looks like plankton in spongebob. you can see suck kawai vibes.ı played so many times when ı was 8 and 10 years old. even ı waited for the glowfish 2 or tv show.because ı really loved it and ı started to draw my own glowfish fanarts. but it was 9 year ago. its a very well cult in my life...
This game is an old classic worth playing, kid friendly humor with a good story and excellent graphics that aged well. Without giving away spoilers I highly recommend it.
Floaty mechanics get very annoying in the later levels when you're bouncing around all over the place with little control.
Boy oh Boy ! Just getting to the Last level of last stage where you have to fight Dr. urchin is actually harder than climbing mount everest with one leg and one hand. Although, at one hand game appears really cute, things take a U-turn as you gradually progress only to realize you are thrown into a pit of monsters with literally no skills other than running away from them :D In this game, your only weapons to defeat sea monsters are not just limited, they consumes lot of time that are not agile enough to deal with waves and waves of speedy monsters. You have a glow chum which apparently does nothing, and a string of friends . To use them , either the monster has to be small enough to take out with a spinning feature or you have to merry-go-round them to shoot some bubbles thing that kills them . But its simply not enough, those monsters attack at you at light speed so you feel you don't have hand-eye coordination but to simply evade them. Secondly, even running comes with a twist. The faster you run, you break away the chain of friends. Once you are left with zero friend, you are literally doomed. So, either you can't run and have weapons to use or you run , then you are left with empty hands with nothing to shoot with. I will tell you, if you are looking for easy time , stay away from this but if you are ready to accept the challenge, i guess you know the next step you need to take :D
Fun game, good visuals and simple mechanics with a tight loop.
童年回忆!推荐手柄
childhood memory! recommend using a controller
My kids love it so far, but and I like it, It gets a bit challenging. I haven't beaten it yet.
This game is amazing.
This game was a really big part of my childhood. Back when this was available for iOS and Android, I used to play it on my dad's iPad. I really loved it, it just has this amazing and relaxing zen experience.
Well now 14 y/o me really missed that game, and I was really bummed to find out it was removed from the app store and from Google Play. Well thank God that it is available on steam. The memories of this game are coming to me all the time now and finally finding it is such a relief. Living the nostalgia and replaying this game has been one of my best experiences ever. I highly recommend this game if you are looking for free time to spend while relaxing.
This was the first game I purchased on Steam in middle school. It was pretty dope.
It's a very cute and "zen" game.
Easy in the beginning, with a decent "challenge" progression.
In general fun.
A great casual game; fun to play, fun to explore, fun to complete. The artwork is dazzling. Though the target audience may be on the younger side based on the occasional "puzzle", it's quite enjoyable nonetheless by just about anyone. Highly recommended if you want to just relax and collect cute little buddies to circle around you to create an all-destroying shield of doom. :D
Fun game for small children (3-6y). This game can keep your children occupied for hours while you're doing more important stuff like cooking, cleaning and/or browsing Reddit.
Visually stunning, with cute characters and a soothing soundtrack. Gameplay is relaxed but sometimes requires sophisticated timing. Best played with a controller.
The game feels like 'Ecco the Dolphin' set in a nightly magically glowing 'Avataresque world. Very relaxing atmosphere. Recommended!
Edit: Most of the people reviewing this agme have barely touched it.
If you're actually trying to achieve the goals in the game, 100% completion
not just floating from level to level [how your six year old is playing it]
it's stupid hard.
It's stupid boring, too.
Original review: Uninspired and foolishly difficult. There are far better games you can get for even $3.
An initially fun casual adventure that winds up repetitive and too lengthy. You're a glowfish who travels through 50 levels to rescue your sweetheart while attracting smaller fish to help you out on your journey. You find these fish in the environment and by destroying enemies, and you'll need them for combat and to deposit at conch shells (checkpoints) to progress.
Over the course of the game you earn 8 companions with unique abilities to help you out, such as slowing enemies or protecting you from hits, but only take one with you at a time. Coins are the game's currency and are used to upgrade companion abilities. Enemies are destroyed by circling them or putting up a swirling barrier of fish, the strength of which is determined by number of followers vs enemy size.
Final boss battle is great, the game is absolutely beautiful and maneuvering is so fluid you can play with a single hand and your mouse. Still, it's hard to recommend due to its repetitive and shallow nature.
Really awesome, chill, relax game with really wonderful graphics. You think you're really under the sea it's so pretty. It's easy but it's great mechanics and awesome to play something while relaxing!

Great casual game meant for the younger ones. It's a side scrolling adventure where you control a cute little creature and are looking to rescue your girlfriend from the evil Dr. Urchin. You combat the bad guys by bumping into them if you have enough friends orbiting you or circling around them if you have too few to use the bumping method.
Originally meant for iPads so the controls are simple, yet the game has some good ideas to keep the gameplay interesting.
Glowfish is a 2D casual/adventure game with beautiful looking and colorful enviroments, cartoonish characters and relaxing music.
The main goal in the levels is to collect enough friendly fishes to unlock gates which let you proceed further until you reach a big swirl that takes you to the next level.
The game features 50 varying levels across 5 different stages, boss fights at every last level of a stage, tons of different enemies and threats (really, I stopped counting after some time) and also 'Chums', which accompany and assist you on your way and have their very own, upgradable, abilities. Upgrading can be done by collecting coins which are spread throughout the levels.
If you take your time to explore the levels, collect all coins and search for the secret areas the playtime should be around 8-10 hours.
I highly recommend to play the game with a Xbox360 controller so you can lay back and relax while playing the game. :)
Glowfish is a charming casual game. The graphics are colorful and the sounds are cute. Makes sense right, since it's a casual game. Well, anyway, the goal is to guide a fish towards a clam of some sort. Near the clam is a stream that blocks the way. In order to continue you have to collect other (friendly) fish by killing enemies. There are coins to collect as well. The coins can be used for upgrading your companions. It's all straightforward but good fun nonetheless. So if you're into casual games Glowfish might just be the thing for you.
