Fix Me Fix You is a very good visual novel game with a beautiful story. The graphics are nice and the soundtrack is Chill and relaxing... I recommend it. 💗💗💗

Game just stops responding after I negotiated on the first deal. Too bad it seems good.

I'm sorry but in my opinion Fix Me Fix You is in unplayable state, so I can't possibly recommend it :( It wasn't a total disaster, I guess it's a neutral review but still a thumb down.

Complaints:
--Saving before choices is impossible T_T
--Skipping skips all the text, so replaying is a real pain.
--No CGs, thus no gallery.
--not a fan of blurry real-looking backgrounds. Though sprites were fine.
--No setting for voice, and it was too quiet in comparison.
--Oh, almost forgot, there IS one CG but you can't skip it and it takes forever to look at it. It happens several times during the route.
--the text box is huge O_O
--The ending is monotonously long and unskippable
--The story is short and I don't think the price is justified.

Praises:
+cards, achievements, guide. Though I didn't use it, everything is obvious enough. Plus one perfect game in steam collection.
+ English voice-over was nice despite the lack of settings. Though playing was so much slower in this case and it was kinda difficult for me to ignore the voice and read faster :)
+ I can't say the story was very captivating but it was fine. Depression is quite an interesting topic, I found some moments rather familiar. But in general the characters weren't very appealing, no immersion at all. But honestly after I read the name of the game I even checked if the dev was Russian as it reminded me the famous line from a popular Soviet film: “И тебя вылечат, и меня вылечат)))“. That made me smile. And the way the story ends when MC realizes while helping his friend he was fixed himself, it made me think how it should be important for anyone to have some sessions with a therapist, like we regularly visit a dentist. It's also vital. I'm sure a good specialist could fix something in me as well, like in anybody else.

But that stigma that is mentioned in the story, I believe, is quite common in my country. I also used to think when I was a teen that only crazy ppl apply for similar help. It's definitely not. And the way it's shown in the story I used to be quite cautious about what I say having just small talk with coworkers-psychiatrists, it took me some time to relax around them and some free tips I actually received were life-changing. So much appreciated. It's not like I was depressed before, but my life definitely improved. It's always good when the story makes me connected somehow, makes me recollect some moments from my own life, makes me ponder.

But my point remains—the way it is now is a torture to play. I haven't read all the text, tried all the options because it's too much trouble, sadly :(

Pros: The Story was cool enough, and there's voice acting!
Cons: The skip button will skip past unread content, making it pretty much unusable.

Actually while I'm writing this I don't know if I'm gonna recommended this game or not. I'm more like neutral to this game. But As I finished it and got all the endings including bad one, I can judge it quite well.
Bad ending= It shouldn't be that bad because he did his own choice and it was quite early for an ending.
Good endings= There are 2, One of them is really bad but other one is... eh... To be honest I was expecting more of a romantic happy ending. The " happy ending" is more like a bittersweet ending and the worst part is this bittersweet ending is the " best " ending. For example in Witcher 3, there are bad/good and bittersweet endings. This game's best endings is not all the best.

Story is quite good but just quite. Sounds and voice acting are too good than I expected.

Quite an under-rated VN. You play as a MC that's a bit immature and doesn't have his life together who goes to help an ex-gf with her own depression. In the process MC grows as a person. Title very appropriate.

Hits pretty close to home with issues of depression and other mental health. Would recommend.

Fix Me Fix You is a slice of life visual novel both developed and published by Sapphire Dragon Productions. You take on the role of Austin Lewis, a full-time college student and full-time slacker, who suddenly finds himself reunited with a high school sweetheart that is now a pop-star sensation but who is suffering from some deep emotional problems. Can Austin help his old friend bounce back from her depression while also confronting some personal issues with himself...turn the page? Fix Me Fix You is another delightful V.N. brought to you from the same studio that developed some other great titles such as "Captain Firebeard And The Bay Of Crows", "The Last Days Of Spring" and "True Lover's Knot".

I ended up liking this more than I previously imagined. The main character is a college student named Austin, who has aspirations and is knowledgeable about certain things. Unfortunately, he also has issues with motivation, addiction, and relationships. He's a good guy, who ends up being depressed, but that doesn't excuse his faults. He's offered to take a trip across the country to assist in revitalizing an old friend of his. Her name is Jackie, and after they mutually broke up at the end of high school, she went on to become a successful celebrity that also has depression. It's established as a business venture, so he gets compensated at the end. Anyway, he leaves having recently ended a relationship with a separate/new girl that was both his boss and girlfriend.

You get to meet and befriend her psychaitrist(who tries to help you out)and her agent(who is a romance option alongside Jackie, I believe). You learn some interesting things about psychology and the characters. A huge point this likes to drive home is that even celebrities have problems and that they're not so different from the average/common person. Your business concludes with the novel and you really get to see the progress in the two main characters. He got paid and helped out his friend, even though that meant missing out on going any further with her. Despite that, it still felt complete, and Austin gets closure on top of straightening out his life.

That's pretty much what brought the novel together, but the voice acting, music, one cool transition, and song accompanying the credits further enhanced it, given that the art wasn't particulalry outstanding, but not bad by any means. It might be hard to relate to the game, but it definitely feels more genuine than you'd expect.

I really enjoyed this game and have already recommended it to a few friends. It deals with depression and mental illness in a pragmatic yet sensitive way, and the story appears to be written by someone who is familiar with these issues. It's serious but not at all depressing. It's not a long game, but it's long enough to make an impact. The artwork is beautiful and the characters will stay with me. Can't really ask for much more than that in a little slice-of-life visual novel.

Fix Me Fix You is a short, branching visual novel that took me right around 2 hours to get through the various endings involved in the achievements. I did use the skip feature after completeing my first playthrough. The story itself tells of a young man attending college who is going through a bit of a rough patch in life. His ex-girlfriend from highschool has become a huge music star, but has had to cancel her tour schedule because of a "breakdown" mentally. Her sessions with her psychiatrist reveal repeated mentions of the protagonist, and her manager wants to bring him in to see if he can help her get back on tour. This interation between Austin, his ex-girlfriend, the psychiatrist and manager entail the rest of the story. There are multiple choices to be made, though only two lead to the main achievements. I didn't explore other options to see if there were other endings, as the story just didn't warent yet another playthrough. The entire experience was yet another example where I wish there was a neutral option on Steam. It's was just meh, from the story, and music, to the art. To top it off, the main character was a bit of a jerk, and it was hard to develop any sort of attachment to him. There's just not a lot to recommend.

Pros -
It's short?
Easy to get achievements, with guides.

Neutral -
Art - No CGs, little sprite variety, washed out backgrounds. More negative than neutral I guess.
Music - Really unmemorable.
Story - Very little charater development, and what there was left a negative impression. Touches on a few deeper themes
(mental illness, love and loss, chemical dependence) but never really goes anywhere with them.
Trading cards? It says the game has them, but I have yet to see any drop.

Negative -
Protagonist was a really unlikeable guy. Why does it seem almost all male lead characters are either totally clueless or
jerks to the point you'd rather smack them around than help them? Maybe it's just me...
Voice acting - The game is fully voice acted, but the actors sounded realy flat. In addition, the volume seemed to go very
low at random times through the playthrough.
The skip function froze my computer three times, then wouldn't close. Even after closing it with taskmanager, Steam still
showed it as running, so I had to restart the computer to continue a game.
When changing days, the game switches to a beautiful view of the moon. And stays there. And stays there. It takes quite
a while to finally advance to the next day, and there is no way to skip this.

So, overall... Unless you're really in need of a visual novel fix and have read everything else on the market, I'd stay clear of this title. I got it on sale, but still feel it was too much. There are a variety of free VNs of higher quality on Steam, and even if this one were free, I'm not sure the time investment makes it worthwhile. Sorry Saphire Dragon, but hopefully I'll be able to post a positive review for your next product.

Edit: After 3 hours, the trading cards began dropping and I got the three for playing the game in just under 4 hours total.

Honestly, I didn’t liked this visual novel. I’m sorry, I know that I keep making lots of bad reviews on your games, but as a player I want to be the most honest possible on how I feel about your product.

The story is more or less, just another regular slice of life. But the characters were badly written and developed. They were the key of this game being good or not, and at least to me, they’ve failed. And everything happens so fast that the player barely has time to know them better, to get attached. Lots of situations were boring, and replaying the game to get the achievements was annoying since the engine (TyranoBuilder) takes too long to skip scenes.

Also, this game needs a serious fix. I’ve never played a TB game so bugged like this one. The game crashed several times, more than 6. And usually during important choices, and since we can't save during choices, I had to play it all again from my last save.

2/10. Really not worth paying the full price on this title, and I recommend considering getting this game in a cheap bundle only if you’re curious about it.

Pretty boring to play, very little interactions going around.The story is okay, the characters are okay, nothing special but nothing flat out bad, but also nothing good either.I would not recommend this game, you are not missing anything by doing a pass on this.

im not good with words but i'll try my best

for a 7 dollar visual novel it was really great. the voice acting fit pretty well for every body. the art design was really good too and i actually liked the characters. the story is kind of mediocre slice of life. however even with the multiple endings, i found the story to be kind of short. if you go for all the ending's a normal paced reader might take 3-5 hours to get all the endings. i would of liked for a stretched screen option instead of the whole SD feel. but at the end of the day, i do not regret buying it. its good for those into visual novels that are looking for something quick and cheap to pass the time.

“Fix Me Fix You” is a drama/slice of life VN. This is true; no doubt about it, but the truth is that statement hardly really covers what it’s about. It’s about depression, loneliness, hope, friendship, love and a whole multitude of emotions. It’s about finding yourself, about the entertainment industry and dealing with the cards life has presented you. Imagine a really good “lifetime channel” or “Hallmark channel” movie where your decisions help decide the final outcome of the story. Before I spoil anything let me run through the categories:

Story

Excellent. Witty and deep writing that can be tender and hilarious at times. Lots of different topics covered. Loved the frequent philosophical debates between characters. Think “Notting Hill” meets “Good Will Hunting”.

Acting

This VN has voice acting! And it’s really good, not your typical cheezy ones that are often hired for VN’s. Kind of different feel as well as half the characters are British and they seem to have really gone to the trouble of getting real Brits for the roles. Thank God for the subtitles as some of them have accents that might be hard for non-Brits to understand. The acting in itself is generally very good, especially the actresses that play Jacqueline and Natalie.

Art

I liked the sprites; nice to see sprites that have the proportions of normal people instead of the Boob Monsters we see so much in VN’s. They’re not the fanciest sprites in the world but their subtlety works well with the feel of the story. I think it would have been nice if they had costume changes since they were aiming for reality but I guess I’m picking at straws. The backgrounds look like oil paintings, a nice little stylistic decision, it think. The sprite and background combination worked well.

Audio

I like thed music, nice little relaxing instrumental tracks that help flavor the story. I had some volume issues between scenes and at times with the music vs the VO. Granted it might be because of my laptop speakers as it was a lot better when I put on my headphones. Nevertheless I recommend the dev’s bear this in mind in their next VO as a lot of people do play these games on their laptop speakers/using basic speakers and it should still sound ok despite it.

Gameplay

It’s a VN so obviously not a lot of gameplay to be had. This one had no minigame, which I don’t mind that much as the story is really good and a minigame might have tried my patience too much. There are choices that lead to different endings. Only had one run of the game myself so don’t know how the other endings pan out. Please ignore the amount of time it said I played as I accidentally left the game on after I finished playing it for the night. The game is about 2-3 hours depending on your own reading speed and whether you let the characters finish their lines of if you click ahead as the prompter finishes the lines. I believe there are only 3 endings so not a lot of replay value either.

Conclusion

All in all this is a VN that is atypical and I’m happy that VN’s like this one exist. This is a deep story and I do recommend it for those looking for a new take on how VN’s can be used as an art. Not the lightest read in the world so if you’re looking for a light bubblegum story there are other places to look. At 7 dollars I would normally find it a bit expensive given its duration but since it has VO then I’m ok with it.
