Fine game overall
A short game, but the humor and charm is on point. The art style, while not what you would expect for 2020, works in its favor if you go with the ridiculousness of riding a tank into battle for taxes due on a pile of dragon gold.
Good and very funny game with dragon waifu 👍
Actually good game, but unfortunately breaks half way through ending on Steam Deck :(
I've been playing quite a lot of Point and Click games and when i looked online for some indie's i came upon this one.
It may not look visually impressive and i must say the camera controls leave something to be desired. But the story and dialog is top notch! Almost all interactions and scenes made me smile or just out loud laughter. The puzzles are on the easy side tho so see it less as a puzzle and more like a interactive movie. I won't spoil anything but there is a setup for a sequel.
So if you want a good laugh and a heartwarming tale give it a shot!
PS Dragon's > Princesses :p
short and fun game - dialogue between George and Ayraw is nice.
Dragon Audit is a blast. It's a really funny puzzle-y adventure game where you collect, combine, and use things to solve problems. I found all the puzzles quite fun and was able to solve all of them without looking anything up, so anybody should be able to solve them if they're paying attention and thinking without too much difficulty. And there's the option to get hints and help if you're stuck and need it.
Dragon Audit really surprised me though, I played a Demo of it a long while ago and I fell in love with how funny it was, and I thought it was just a joke-y game I'd get a good laugh out of, but the story is actually really interesting. You get little glimpses of the whole picture through flashbacks into the past and bits and pieces you read from interacting with things or dialogue options you choose. I loved how the puzzle pieces of the story started all falling together just past the mid-point, tying up all the different clues you've discovered along the way.
The only complaint I have is that there isn't more to play! It was so much fun that I don't want to stop! Absolutely worth checking out, it's a heart-meltingly cute story told in an incredibly funny way that'll have you absolutely hooked. The ending sequence is particularly amazing, so look forward to that, and get the insulin ready because oh boy is it ever sweet!
A short but sweet story. Has puzzles very similar to Resident Evil (in terms of obtaining items, combining and whatnot) and a story with a lesson. I'm hopeful there's more to come with better improvements
A game that from the production values leave things to be desired, but it more than weighs up for it with an extremely charming story and some adorable and funny writing in general. A short, sweet and very enjoyable little game.
Woo! Humor! Multiple situations are covered and the language works well. Pants humor! So glad I played "Spaceship in my Yard" first!
And so glad I decided to explore George's Bedroom again, after finishing the game. Almost missed the bookshelf. Oof. ... One of those paintings must be St. George, but which one?
Yeah, animation's not the best, but the 2D art is great!
Animation seems improved in the end scenes though, so that's good!
Music's nice too!
this is the kind of game that is not my cup of tea but I have really enjoyed playing this game & it's very funny too.
One of the cutest and funniest games i've played in a long while. I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as i did! Ayraw is the GOAT dragon girl. Her and george have some adorable chemistry and the game made me laugh more times than i can count. ^^ I hope that the dev continues the story of these two. There were a few parts where i couldn't find a specific item close to the end, but i figured it all out after a few more thorough combs through the areas.
10/10 - would audit again -w-
I went into this game expecting it to be a so bad it's good kind of game...
It certainly wasn't that and I have never in my life been so happy about being wrong.
This game is great! I absolutely loved it!
Behind the silly premise and lacking graphics is a fun story with tons of witty dialogue and self-aware humor as well as an incredibly cute romance.
Sure, it's a bit janky in some places but its got more than enough heart to make up for it.
10/10. Well worth the money and I eagerly await the continuation of the story as well as the erotic fanfiction.
TLDR: Really good game, but buy it for the story, not the visuals.
Amazing concept and story. This type of game deserves an entire genre (if there is a genre for this, please tell me in the comments of this review) However, the implementation of the idea left rather a lot to be desired. The quality of the models was far lower than the quality of the textures, the game has many bugs, such as the camera clipping into walls and the player, Ayraw's tail physics were out the window crazy, the elevator in the office building had glitches beyond belief among other things. Additionally, the story was rushed; while being good, the story should have been spun out over a much longer period, perhaps double or even triple what it currently is. However, I fully support the game and its developers, and I still enjoyed the game greatly. The sexual innuendo that is noted in the rating is definitely present, but it was implemented perfectly, wasn't overdone at all. I look forward to a sequel, which they heavily hint at at the end of the game, and hope they enact at least some of the improvements I have mentioned.
Well written short funny adventure.
It's about 2 hours, and I loved every minute of it. Technically, it's an old-style point&click in 3D, with descriptions and dialogues and combining things in your inventory. But it's also very funny and off-the-wall and full of surprises.
Ayraw is a dragon who wishes one of the knights who come to slay her would go on a date with her, and she's got to put up with the annoying princess who's boarding in her castle; George is a battle accountant and supposed to audit the dragon's books, chosen for this task because something he did made him *very* unpopular in the town of Squelch.
The writing and the character animations combine wonderfully for a funny/heartwarming story; and the game design is full of off-the-wall solutions for weird problems that are nonetheless fun to figure out. Basically, what I'n saying is, don't judge this game by its screenshots. (I'm thankful the developer didn't cover the 3D art up with a heavy pixelation filter, like so many other games do nowadays.)
If you have my sense of humor, you must play this game.
Short and sweet with a great sense of humour and puzzles that are challenging without being frustrating, Dragon Audit is well worth both your time and money if you have any interest in adventure style puzzle games. Looking forward to the sequel.
I think it would be very easy to harshly judge this game based solely on the trailer and content on the store page. Despite that, it is a thoroughly enjoyable adventure gaming experience. Indeed the trailer doesn't do the graphics and art style justice which actually looks much better in game (although admittedly still very obviously Unity powered). The puzzles are on the simpler end of the spectrum, although I personally prefer that over absurd moon logic puzzles typical of older adventure games. It is relatively short, and can easily be completed in one ~90 minute sitting. For the price asked I think that is very reasonable.
If you like point and click adventure games, high fantasy romantic comedies, and accounting related humor, or any combination of the three, then you owe it to yourself to check this game out.
What I have played of this game so far has been fantastic! Some of the animations and controls(kb+m) are a little rough around the edges, but the hilarious writing surrounding it more than make up for this. There is also some light puzzle solving to be had here which was entertaining, and there are options to make this easier if puzzles aren't your thing. I definitely recommend playing this if you're looking for a funny and wholesome adventure game to put a smile on your face - even better with friends!
A game this bad has no right being this good.
The animations, designs, and gameplay are all rather out the box running animations pack #3-esq.
But the cute, unique story combined with the self aware and in general humor blow out the cheap feel of the game visually.
9/10 : clearly a labor of love and I eagerly await "Dragon and Auditor go to visit the probably dangerous mages" (working title)
There isn't much to say about this game. It's short and sweet. The puzzles aren't hard, but the solutions are funny and the item descriptions have some nice bits as well. The story is too short to get complicated, but it's fulfilling without being too sappy. I laughed out loud several times.
The whole game left me in a good mood with a smile on my face after a stressful day. And I hope there is a sequel some day.
Edit: Oh and since I read the other reviews I should mention that the controls were smooth for me and I didn't have any bugs. But I also used a controller. I remember when I played the demo a few months back with a keyboard it was a bit clunky. So use a controller if you can.
Strange game and oddly delightful. The art and animations are both terrible and great. The writing is what really sets it apart. It's clever and enjoyable. Recommended if you're up for something silly and weird.
