It's cool too test yourself in the different games. It make you be good at all the street fighter games.
Won't ever happen but CAPCOM should've given this the CAPCOM Collection and MVC Collection Online treatment also these games just feel so weird to play on this version idk why . I'd love to not rely on freaking Fightcade just to play these games with other people
Absolutely dislike the inability to skip/bypass the photosentivity warning, logos, and unnecessary animated menu transitions. Cannot stream reliability for remote play no matter the hardware or bandwidth supplied.
SF2 is overrated
This game has all my classic street fighter games in one package! This brings me back to when I was a kid and it runs great, even online!
Stupidly difficult. All the games are set to high difficulty with no option to change it, who was the idiot that decided to remove the options from the games.
Just use an emulator, you get an options menu with those!
You get exactly what is advertised. All games in the collection play well and the in game bonuses such as the art gallery are super neat. $30 is really steep for what is offered here since the arcade mode in several of the games is massively overtuned and the online is pretty dead now. Get this one on sale.
5/5, one of the best fighting game franchises of all time! this collection contains the very first SF all the way to SF 3. If you grew up in the arcade era of video games this will bring back that nostalgia for you. Enjoy!

Probably way before some of the junior gamers are even born yet.

It's a history in the making, still going on strong to this day and hopefully more to come.
It will take you back to the era of the arcade cabinet's golden age.
The coin munchers of awesome.
The times of pure creativity, self-reliance and breakthroughs.
The era of no internet, cellphones, distractions of social media frenzy, followers herders, likes seekers etc.
None of those.
It is simply a time when everything was still genuinely live in the moment.
Libraries are the true source of information and knowledge.
Before the era of microtransactions. When you can unlock everything by simply playing the game.
My very first fighting game was Street Fighter II (1991), then Mortal Kombat (1992) and finally King Of Fighters (1994).
Spent many hours (...and coins) battling random strangers, became gamer friends on the spot, then be besties in real life.
Win or lose we accept it humbly and still respect each other after the match.
Socializing was so much direct and convenient. Because we purely looked for true friends / inspiring rivals rather than common enemies.
My favorites from Street Fighter series are Super Street Fighter II The New Challengers (1993), Street Fighter Alpha 3 aka Zero in Japan (1995) and Street Fighter III: New Generation (1997) followed by 3rd Strike (1999).
My mains are obviously Ryu and Chun-Li, then Elena and Ibuki.

The soundtracks of each stages or each characters are so nostalgic and unforgettable. From Chun-Li's Street Market, Honda's Sentō (public bathhouse) to Ryu's Suzaku Castle Rooftop and even Guile's Air Force base. Still gave me total eargasm right from the originals to remake ones with the same tunes.
Timelessly epic.
There are so many fighting games now. Even in polygonal 3D that look realistically detailed just like a real person. Street Fighter did try to dive in with the trend by making a Street Fighter EX (1996).
As for me; I still personally prefers the pixels of goodness 2D formula that fits just right for Street Fighter series.
I choose Virtua Fighter, Tekken and Dead Or Alive series more, when it comes for 3D fighting games.
The only downside from this one, is the screen cannot be set in full which I find it strange. Because in Capcom Arcade Stadium, all of the games can be customize to any preferable settings, even Fullscreen.
Perhaps Capcom will add some patches in the future, or maybe not.
But whatever our likings and preferences are when it comes to one on one fighting games, it doesn't matter.
Because we are free to choose and play whatever we like and however we play it, with each of our own strategies and combos to pull a perfect win!
It is a solid proof that arcade games unite us as one big family of gamers.
All fightings and warrings should only be done in gaming.
Win or lose, we are still a unity of gamers / fighters.
Be in the game, or even in our daily lives. Fighting for survival, just like these fighters of old & new taught us to never give up. Tempering us to acknowledge that everything has process, there is no instant way to achieve success.
In short; Street Fighter games will always inspiring us to do our very best.
Just don't go casually Hadouken your boss at work. Or he / she will do a counter combo of Kikōshō and Tatsumaki Senpūkyaku plus Sonic Boom then finally Psycho Crushed your career goodbye.

Good recreation
Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is a good time where you can adjust the screen to an arcade style overlay, you can play 12 different versions of street fighter through street fighter 3, you can maintain high ranking score by the last person who played the game and not ai rankings, you can do alot of stuff on here, theres a museum of art and also you can train in each version that used to never have training mode. I honestly highly recommend this to pick up and my only wish is that this were steamdeck compatible. Peace out.

Great collection for the singleplayer, which is the weakest part of any fighting game ever made.
Might even be a great collection for playing with a friend online thanks to the robust netcode.
But AVOID THIS COLLECTION if you want to be competitive, because the ranked in particular has a lot of issues that put it behind other options for every available game. Not only is it dead, but you really can't blame people for opting to play ranked formats that actually allow training mode whenever you're waiting hours for your next opponent.
I can imagine the training room being useful regardless, but you'll be doing the actual fighting somewhere else if you want to play a game with a pulse.
All my classic street fighter games that i love to play. Im not down with 3D street fighter! 2D pixels are the bomb.

The fans want a definitive place to play the best of your best, connected to relative players, play the very best version of the game they bought, and possibly expect some upgrades... you know, in order to do the thing at one time that you did the very best in the world, just better, even by 1990's standards.
need to update steam deck compatibility due to it works on Steam Deck, controls are a little clunky overall its not bad

I never played the originals in arcades, but to me the games play well enough. Has most of the classics, even the 1st one.
Nice to see this Street Fighter collection, but they should have implemented more Quality of Life improvements, like more screen banners, screen filters, display options, etc. Otherwise this is a good Street Fighter Collection.

I mostly got this so I could play 3rd Strike as I had heard that the game was one of the best in the series, but I ended up having a lot of fun with the other ones too, and I think its definitely worth it.
overall I really liked the collection, however, if you intend to play online, I think you're gonna be disappointed as it does not have many players, if any at all, But if you just want it for playing with your family/friends or to play arcade mode, then I can't recommend it enough.
The Street fighter 2 CPU's still cheat though.
TL:DR: GREAT selection of titles that I grew up with and some that I missed out on, in my youth. Playable on a proper gaming keyboard with NKRO (N-Key Rollover) and anti-ghosting... but input timing requirements for some of the bundled games are too tight... SSF2T is most notable for this. No built-in way to map multiple punches/kicks to a single key. Special/Super moves that require pressing all 3 punches or all 3 kicks are near impossible to execute consistently, at least without investing in additional hardware (i.e. a fight stick) that comes with said feature. If your gaming keyboard has software that lets you map commands to any onboard macro keys, this may be a non-issue.

street fighter 2 turbo is good.
all the alphas are good
all the sf 3 are good
but they messed up with the sf super and super turbo.
back in the day of super nintendo you could select how many stars of turbo you wanted. this was good and bad.
going past 3 stars of turbo meant that the game just straight up started skipping frames.
this lead to special moves being very very very unreliable.
so as the SF series progressed some people at capcom forgot about this and decided that 4 speed stars was the default.
maybe becauese it looked cool and played fast.
however the over all experience suffered because of it.
as the years went on everyone just completely forgot about how if you put the turbo stars up too much it makes the game unplayable.
now they do have a turbo selection but it actually doesn't go down to 2 or 4 stars like it did back in the super nes days.
turning it down to 0 playes like a 4 star turbo match. so something got fucked up along the way.
the only good playable SF2 is SF2 Turbo. and that one plays really well.
but if you were looking for some Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo action. its fucking trash. it's almost near impossible to pull of moves like dragon punch on 2 frame imputs. and it shouldn't be that way because regular SF2 turbo its really easy, even thought the games are moving at the same speed.
at first i thought it was my joystick. i thought maybe it was broken or something. but no.. its only SF2 super and SF2 super turbo.
some jackasses just coded in to much frame skipping so that it is incredibly difficult to pull of basic moves.
And thats really sad, because i remember dumping 1000$ of quarters into SF2 super and SF2 super turbo and not having a problem on those arcade machines. And not having those problems on the SNES version of Super either.
i give it a thumbs down because of the issues with the later SFs
but its a really good purchace because all the other games like alphas and 3s are great.

Controls are weird. Dont know how to do super and EX special combos on keyboard and mouse, bad controls and no tutorial whatsoever. Even training doesnt help. 6/10, I do recommend the game tho, i love street fighter
İt has Street Fighter Alphas, but NOT Alpha 3 Max, which is the definitive way to play that game.
...also it has an annoying DRM for reasons that'll forever baffle players.
I've played fighting games before, particularly KI and MK way back, and back in the day some Street Fighter 4, and I used to sparsely play SF2 throughout the years, going back all the way to my childhood (although very sparsely), but it's been almost a decade since I played anything other than one or two matches of SF2 in, like, a whole semester, so I consider myself still pretty new to fighting games (in practice). I was never too much into fighting games growing up, however, but I did play some casual PVE from time to time, and normally I never try anything outside of my bubble, especially since I may regret spending money on something I don't enjoy. Despite this, I took a sudden interest in the genre and decided to try to get into it. I'm having a lot of fun trying to learn the games in this collection, and while some fans prefer the Fightcade version, I feel that for me, personally, this version has been worth the money. As a newcomer, I'm still learning the combos and how to fight properly, as well as how to control my emotions and panic while I'm at it. It's been a breath of fresh air to come to this genre as a whole, and this game, being a package with several other games of the franchise, definitively gave me joy. All this to say that I recommend this, although *I* am a newcomer, so my opinion is possibly going to change if I end up preferring the Fightcade version(s) in the future.

Street Fighter 2 is a totally iconic game that I played a lot as a kid on the Super Nintendo. It’s amazing to play it again here in this collection. Everything works great and it’s a solid collection in terms of performance and presentation.
It’s very interesting to try out the other games in this series too. Especially the first Street Fighter game which is a bit surreal to play here. I remember when Street Fighter 2 was in the arcade I used to wonder, where is Street Fighter 1? We never saw anything about it when I was a kid. Now I can see that that game was a very generic and pretty boring game compared to Street Fighter 2.
Street Fighter 2 was special, mainly because of the iconic characters that were introduced. With the special moves which are iconic too, like the fireball and spinning kicks. The music as well and the dialogues for each character are all fantastic. Zangief’s laugh and of course the ‘hadouken’, it’s really cool to go back and experience Street Fighter 2 again.
The other games in the series are very interesting to take a look at here too. I had never played most of the games that came after Street Fighter 2 either. So overall this collection is totally great and a perfect way to replay Street Fighter 2. This is great example of game preservation for me, I love having this collection here on Steam.
