- Мультиопциональное повествование: одна история, множество сюжетных линий, семь концовок;
- Кинематографический интерактивный триллер с живыми актёрами, снятый в Лондоне, Англия;
- Более 180-ти выборов без пауз и зацикливания кадров;
- Снято Тобиасом Уэбером, написано Майклом Р. Джонсоном, автором сценария "Шерлока Холмса" (г. 2009);
- В главных ролях: Джо Сауэрбатс (Мэтт), Харука Абэ (Мэй-Лин) и известный по своей роли в "Оливере Твисте" Ричард Дёрден (Сэмюэл Парр)

yep.
Well it's better then watching a movie. Because you can control the story line. i recommend buying.
What a dumb game, dont support these developers, they dont deserved it.
-10/10 Points
this game is peak
Not very thoughtful game.(piece of mediocre crap compared to that of the Quantic Dreams) Maybe IT IS for you if adrenaline is what you're looking for.
Worth a play through.
Late Shift is a movie where you control the narrative, great concept but not for everyone.
No ability to skip previously watched scenes.
Amazing plotline no matter what option you choose
Late shift is good for what it does. This is not an FMV adventure game of olden times. There is no branching narration, where each choice leads to a dozen different game states. But production values are high, and I found a real warmth in the end result. Plus made me nostalgic for London.
Game is peak
"Late Shift" masterfully blurs the lines between film and gaming, delivering a high-stakes FMV (Full Motion Video) experience that keeps you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. This game places you in the shoes of Matt, a mathematics student caught in the crosshairs of a heist gone wrong in the gritty backdrop of London.
Story & Choices:
The narrative, penned by the writer of the 2009 "Sherlock Holmes" film, is engaging and well-paced, with a storyline that feels both cinematic and interactive. The game boasts over 180 decision points, ensuring that your choices genuinely impact the story's direction and outcome. Whether you're deciding to steal a car or sabotage a plan, each choice unfolds in real-time, adding a thrilling layer of tension as you watch your decisions play out.
Visuals and Performance:
Shot in full HD, "Late Shift" looks fantastic. The actors deliver convincing performances that elevate the game's intensity and authenticity. The London setting is beautifully captured, contributing to the game's immersive atmosphere.
Gameplay Mechanics:
The gameplay is straightforward, focusing on decision-making rather than traditional gaming elements like combat or puzzles. This approach works well for those who enjoy narrative-driven experiences but might be less appealing to players looking for more interactive gameplay elements.
Replayability:
With seven different endings, "Late Shift" offers significant replay value. Each playthrough can feel fresh as you explore different paths and see how your choices lead to dramatically different conclusions. However, the linear nature of the FMV format means you'll see many of the same scenes repeatedly unless your choices lead to new branches.
Soundtrack and Sound Design:
The sound design complements the visual narrative, with a score that heightens the tension during critical moments. The dialogue is clear, and the background noises of London add to the game's authenticity.
Conclusion:
"Late Shift" is a standout title for fans of interactive movies and narrative-driven games. It's an excellent choice for those who love storytelling in gaming but wish for more control over the narrative's direction. While it might not satisfy those craving complex gameplay mechanics, as a cinematic thriller, it's both compelling and memorable.
Rating: 8/10
If you're intrigued by how your choices can alter the course of a story, "Late Shift" is definitely worth checking out on Steam. Just be prepared for a rollercoaster of moral dilemmas and unexpected plot twists.
5/5
The best piece in the interactive movie genre. It was done with love, something that almost never happens in nowadays filmmaking. I bought it with a discount, "played" on youtube years ago, replayed myself now and I can say with confidence the game is totally worth the full price.
Late Shift was the very first FMV game I ever played, and it completely hooked me on the genre. I even made videos trying to get that elusive "perfect" ending, which shows just how much it kept me engaged. The game itself is definitely on the good side of the scale, the story is gripping, the choices feel meaningful, and the multiple endings add great replay value. Plus, the production quality and acting are solid, making it feel like a proper movie where you control the narrative. It’s a great pick if you’re into interactive storytelling or just want a unique gaming experience.
Pretty good heist tv-movie on its own. Both the big choices that affect the ending and small choices that give your variety are worth trying.
7/10
The direction and camerawork are solid, and overall, the production quality is good. The acting is decent for a project of this scale, though it sometimes feels a bit wooden.
The plot is fairly average and sometimes silly, but this film doesn’t aim to be top-tier cinema; it’s more focused on entertainment. For a multiple-choice film, this plot works well enough.
One significant disadvantage is the lack of choices. Greater control over the character’s dialogue and behaviour would have been an improvement. It's quite difficult to fully dive into the game without such controls. Sometimes, the main hero acts unexpectedly and does stupid things.
Everybody in the reviews mentions the length; however, I think it's alright, taking into consideration that this is a multiple-choice game.
Lastly, there’s no 4K or HDR, but I don’t think it's that significant for a 2017 game.
I very much enjoyed this story and I thought it was well acted. It certainly opened my mind to try other FMV games. Since it is literally an interactive movie, it is about a 90 minute experience. There are multiple endings to find, but you have to play the entire story to find each one. There is no chapter select or skipping through cutscenes.
Best FMV game so far
good
yes
Mr woe? I've never heard of a mr woe.
Memory cweaing
i ended up being late for my shift because i played this too much
Cool movie-interactive game, although very short.
A pretty solid FMV game, except that you can't skip scenes you've already seen. It's hard to want to play through seven times when you'll exhaust most of the content after two or three plays and all that's left are minor variations with slightly different endings. That said, my first two play-throughs were interesting and engaging, and the third was interesting in the second half once I got to actually new content.
Some of the choices aren't really choices and the protagonist will just do what the game clearly wants him to do. I get that it's exorbitantly expensive to offer a lot of true variation for a game like this, but surely some better design choices could have made the player feel like they have more agency. But whatever, it's still overall a well-shot and well-told FMV story that's interesting and engaging to play, even if the plot is a bit contrived. I enjoyed playing it.
IT ISN'T A GAME!!
:D
3/5

ok story but weird flow and choices forcing you to stay on the rails
