You are Henry, the legendary one-handed hamster handler, and it's your job to save the mass-produced balls of fluff! It’s time to punch in at Hamsters Inc., where your usual menial task of hamster production and distribution has gone kaput! Manually operate the machinery and jump from one disaster to the next, all the while trying to keep a clear head to navigate the intense mechanical puzzles and determine whether your fat little friends can be rescued from being electrocuted, squished, and scorched.
Oh! Don’t forget to use your handy hook to rescue your game streak by banishing wayward hamsters.

With that price, I think is a must in every VR library. Half an hour there and I don't feel my arm. Simple but great game, a good asset for parties.

Fun for a while, but the difficulty level is prohibitive. Once you get to level 20 it is just simply impossible to move quickly enough to proceed.

Not even kidding – Henry the Hamster Handler is one of the most difficult games on the HTC Vive. I got stopped cold around 7 levels in and truth be told, I deserved it. The game is basically like playing a game of “Whac-A-Mole” but instead of just hitting moles, you’re also having to turn certain nozzles, push up and down on switches and all around – time things.. And the timing is TIGHT. Immediately once I got past a couple levels, I realized the potential difficulty for this game and it delivered quickly. In a way, I expected a game like Ropes and Dragons VR – A fairly kid friendly but also simple puzzle game that demands SOME reflexes. This game would chew and spit out a casual player in my opinion.
That said – the game is fair and beautiful. Just pressing the buttons to start the game – I could tell Henry the Hamster Handler was a game created with care. The way the various “traps” and contraptions look are very interesting and the mechanics play well together. For instance – the teleporter switch has to be hit immediately when a hamster is over it. The gate you wheel up and down to close – can work for, or against you. The burners are just simple “you better keep me in mind” situations and constantly keep them green. Combine all this stuff together and you’ll be twirling about, overwhelmed as your hamsters are destroyed. I can tell being good at this game would be a skill – much like music based beat games such as Rock Band, Guitar Hero or Dance Dance Revolution. You could practice it and eventually not get overwhelmed and get a nice feel for the timings.
I highly recommend this game for the current price of $4.99(on sale at times for even less!) It has a wealth of content and seriously – its a challenge of madness. The game doesn’t seem to offer other modes but each level offers a bonus stars for “perfection” which would encourage replay if you wanted to achieve more than just simply passing the levels. I give it 10/10 for what it is, how well it performs, how great it looks and the price itself.

You could do better for your five dollars. I got it on sale, you should too. It's too well formed a title to give it a negative rating, but you may or may not like it. It's cute, and it has a nice intro scene. It's premium standing-only game play. You have to lead the hamsters to their safety through a serious of levels. You press buttons and pull leavers in an attempt to make sure they don't die. You only get one hand to do it with! The other is a hook, and you can use it to kill the hamsters, so be careful. It's good, but put it in your list of things to pick up when it goes on sale, and when you've played all the other good stuff first. I had a hamster once, name was Dr. Shiela Hutchinson, and she had her own Habitrail and such. Russian barn mouse, or something like that. She cost 3 dollars less than this game. I don't think she liked me :(

A fun and quirky game that challenges you to keep up with the pace. This game is best enjoyed with a group of friends, with each person taking a turn and everyone watching.
It's fun as a solo game, but it really shines as a group party game.
I'm a new vive user and picked this up in the bundle, I'm only a couple of hours in but it's been lots of fun so far, its like a really hardcore version of Lemmings!
Become a one handed hamster factory worker and prepare for some casual and fast-paced fun! Think Lemmings on acid... Another fun game from Pocket Money Games, the game is fun, funny, and would make for a great party game. The gameplay includes saving as many hamsters as possible, using one hand, progressing through the levels by saving more and more hamsters, and the game of course increases in difficulty as you play. The design is bright, bold as is the animation and music.

Buy on special; its a frustraiting and fun little game, i could see the kids enjoying it if they could reach the buttons etc. If your looking for an obstical corse for hamsters this is your current option :P
Two hand operation would improve the game even though i see why its not there; i'm sure it will improve over time and the ability to build would be nice
It’s like Lemmings, but with hamsters, first person and very very challenging. Albeit a bit of a budget title, it’s very fun. My #1 complaint is that the hamsters should have more animations, especially for their deaths.
I have no idea why people had VR sickness from this. Wusses. It's the hamsters I feel sorry for.
Wow, this game is so much fun and completely bonkers; I especially love the nerf gun breaks and (to my shame) the sound of exploding Hamsters! :D

Just got my hands on the Vive so i'm trying as much VR as possible. Played this one for an hour straight and I'm loving it! Gradually builds up the pace and challenges, very intuitive controls and loads of fun. Runs great on my system ( i7 780ti).
Myself and my GF had a good laugh on this game, great fun! Well worth the price.

Intro involves stopping and starting abruptly that made me feel ill and become very self-conscious about falling over.
Upon starting the first level, I found the first button to be too far away to reach with my oculus touch controllers. This made the first level impossible to complete. Thank goodness for Steam's return policy.
Made my girlfriend try it just to make sure, and she almost fell over backwards on the conveyorbelt. Even starting from a further back position, the first button on the left cannot be reached. The game feels rushed and there was no tutorial to stop you from watching innocent hampsters being incinerated immediately.
Would definitely not recommend!!!!!!
Edit: I feel the need to make an edit to this review to address a few negative comments I have received.
Although my current VR configuration doesn’t have the space to support full room scale this game is (at the time of writing) listed to support a standing play area. Standing play areas are at a minimum of 1mx1m, I have a fair amount more than this so should be able to hit all the buttons. I still feel as though my comments about the motion sickness and loss of balance in the intro to be an accurate representation of our experience. I appreciate the dev’s comments about slowing the conveyor belt down but I feel the issue lied with the sudden stop. There are a few ways this could be avoided off the top of my head: having some warning it will stop, a gradual slow down or having some point of reference on the conveyor belt for the player to orient to.
I will not take down my original review and pretend it didn’t happen because it still reflected my opinion of the game after playing it. If people disagree with my comments I would strongly suggest that they purchase the game for themselves and leave their own review. The more people that review this title, the more accurate its rating will be.
I should also point out that this game was listed to support Oculus but has since been changed.
Fun little game! You have to deactivate traps so that hamsters can cross safely toward the exit. The difficulty is pretty tough, I almost always lose a few hamsters on each level but it feels pretty balanced. I also love the other mini games you do other than just doing the hamster traps the entire time. If you're a good multitasker then you will dominate at this game!
