WAR CUBES
There are 8 unit types in total. Each cube have special abilities and is strong or weak against one or more other unit typesThe Legionaries are basic cubes. Their strength is in their numbers.
Barbarians are fast and brutal units with enough health to counter almost any other cube as long as it is not armored.
Knights are the backbone of every army. They fight with great success against all others except Mages.
Archers...Killing two of them is ridiculously easy, but you don't want to stand up against twenty.
With their huge shields and long spears those cube soldiers are also called "Monster killers".
They fight with magic.Their fireballs will push back the screaming enemies back in their pits.
Bombardiers are slow - they shoot slow, they move slow...but they will bring hell to all those who oppose them.
One thing you should know about those non-cube units:
you will need most of the above cubes in great numbers, only to bring down one of those...spiked balls.

1. Nothing is explained.
2. The "combat" is odd as only the front units care to do anything. You might spend as much time looking for something to "fight" as you will "fighting."
3. If you play the first few levels, then there's no reason to keep playing. If you like this genre of growing a starting blob of something and growing it, then look for a different game because this one is not it.
Note that though the game costs $5, it was on sale for $0.50 and I'm still returning it because it's not enjoyable and kinda lame.
This game is not terrible. It may not be the greatest, but I did find it enjoyable. Considering the price, it is worth it for what it offers. Although the game lacks a comprehensive tutorial, there are only three tasks to complete, making it easy to figure out. To be honest, if it cost more than a dollar, I would be inclined to write a negative review, as it resembles a somewhat mindless mobile game.

BuildMoreCubes - A Creative Sandbox Game
Pros:
🏗️ Creative Freedom BuildMoreCubes provides players with extensive creative freedom, allowing them to construct intricate structures, landscapes, and inventions using various building blocks and tools. The possibilities are endless, limited only by imagination. 🌟🎨🌎 Vast Open World The game features a vast open world filled with diverse biomes, landscapes, and environments to explore and build in. From lush forests to barren deserts, players can find inspiration and endless opportunities for construction. 🌳🏜️
Cons:
🧱 Steep Learning Curve Building complex structures and mastering the game's mechanics may require a significant investment of time and effort. New players may find themselves overwhelmed by the sheer depth of available tools and options. ⏳🔨👥 Limited Multiplayer Interaction While multiplayer functionality exists, the interaction between players may be limited, detracting from the potential for collaborative building projects and community engagement. Enhanced multiplayer features could improve the social aspect of the game. 🤝🌐
Other Downsides:

Optimization updates could enhance the overall gameplay experience for all players. 🖥️⚙️🎵 Lack of In-Game Music The absence of in-game music or ambient sounds may create a somewhat sterile atmosphere, detracting from the immersion and enjoyment of the gameplay experience. Adding a dynamic soundtrack could remedy this issue. 🔇🎶

- Regular updates and community support.
Bad Points
- Steep learning curve for new players.
- Limited multiplayer interaction.

Personal Comment BuildMoreCubes offers a vast sandbox experience with unparalleled creative freedom for players to build and explore. While it may have a steep learning curve and some optimization issues, its potential for creativity and expression makes it a compelling choice for fans of sandbox games.
The 20 meticulously crafted levels provide a diverse and engaging battlefield, while the adorable yet fiercely lethal units add a charming touch to the brutal battles.
gg trash
Its a cool concept but the game itself kinda sucks the levels are way too hard they take ages and the bots just keep coming towards me while im fighting its kinda fun but after getting killed at a 20min mark in a game with no checkpoint save or even a highscore its just not fun if you dont like hard games dont buy this
The game is basically a strategy game where you grow by strengthening your army. The military units within the army have differences, weaknesses and superiority over each other. For this reason, the strategy you apply when choosing your military units and determining their place in the army makes a difference during the battle. I spent long hours at the beginning of the game because of this difference and the freedom offered to the player. The game has problems, of course, but if you keep your expectations low, I'm sure the pleasure you will get will increase.
BuildMoreCubes is yet another construction kit shovelware cash grab from the Brazilian asset flippers, SA Industry. These guys do nothing but copy premade game templates and game tutorials, fill out a few things/stamp out basic levels using the construction kit templates, slap on an asset flipped set of sprites/assets, and dump them on Steam and into DailyIndieGame bundles as cash grabs. Trying to get paid for someone else's game templates, assets... at best, this is shovelware, at worst, it's a scam/cash grab.
This time there's a crappy low poly mobile-app-wannabe (rejected by app stores, apparently) that's intended to look like some kind of sophisticated RTS game... but it's not. No multiplayer, of course, this is just a game where you put your finger on your iPhone screen to drag soldiers around. The soldiers will auto-fight if you run them into enemies. Every 3 or so enemies you kill allows you to "Rebuild" which adds more soldiers to your clump, so I guess these are necromancers, or maybe the game designer had no idea what they were doing and just wanted to pollute Steam with shovelware garbage. I'm guessing the latter, given their prior history of unethical behaviour.
HA Studio Ltd./SA Industry have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab. Here's some examples so you can see for yourself:
- "Kingdom Defense" = Tower Defense Basic Pixel Art Pack developed by FreeThePlayerOnGame
- "Drive For Your Life" = Zombie Drive - Full Game Template developed by Puppeteer
[*] "Falling Words" = 2D Typing Game developed by Steelkrill Studio
Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with.
The controls can't be customised because the game has such a dumbed down, simplified interface that it's just iPhone screen tapping stuff. The fact that the interface is this dumbed down might be seen as a problem in itself, however... this is a fairly shallow experience if you're the kind of gamer that likes to play games with deep, rich control schemes and interaction. You'll get none of that here.
Some of the defects in the game can be attributed to the choice of using the video game construction kit/toolset, Quest3D Engine. This is a very poor quality toolset sometimes used by amateur/unskilled developers as it doesn't require advanced game development skills, but unfortunately has very limited capabilities. Just as you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear, you can't make a great video game if you use a terrible engine.
This looks and feels like a mobile app, but I wasn't able to find it on the app stores. Maybe it was removed, maybe it was rejected by Apple and Google (they do have more rigorous quality standards than Valve does for Steam, after all).
Regardless, for all intents and purposes "BuildMoreCubes" might as well be a mobile app, it has the same limitations and dumbed down qualities. It's impossible to recommend such a game to PC gamers. We don't spend all this money building gaming rigs so we can pretend they're iPhones and play games that might as well be mobile apps.
These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.
Reviewing SteamDB to check how popular this game was with players reveals a surprise... there's a very healthy spike in player counts for the game. But this only appears around the same time that trading cards were applied to the game... so this is just card idlers getting their cards and moving on. A closer look at the numbers shows the game just has a couple of players every week running up the game and idling it for cards, then deleting it. The game doesn't demonstrate any true popular appeal with gamers, most likely due to the reasons raised in this review.
It's also important to note the "developer" here has connections to a number of shady Russian asset flippers and review manipulators who show an organised pattern to scam and defraud gamers with fake reviews and asset flipping the work of others for profit. While reviews are about the games, gamers should be informed when developers act unethically. Whether these connections are the same developer using multiple accounts, or just working closely with other unethical developers, gamers should be warned about the harm to gamers by this developer and their associates. Buying games from unethical developers puts your money at risk.
BuildMoreCubes is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend. Because this is the kind of game you can just play for free on mobile phones, it's impossible to recommend anyone should pay money for the same experience on Steam. Remember if you buy a game from an unethical developer, you're putting your money at risk.
Game is too basic and gameplay mechanic is broken
Controls could have been better
Video Game!
yes
Boring game that gets old really fast.
I like this game a lot.
It plays a bit like a mobile game, of the ".io" variety, and it's really addictive.
The premise is simple, have numbers, win battles. Choose your battles wisely!
If you destroy all the population of group of units unit you can add that unit's population to your army. *But* only if you get all of them. Try to amass numbers so you can take on small numbers of tougher units, kill them, and add them to your army too. Gradually build up to an army of the strongest units. Even so, you can still get wiped out if you're not careful and run into a huge group and get picked off by that bunch of ranged units that have just ambushed you!
Although there a levels with objectives, the levels pretty much follow the same pattern in terms of game play. There are a few levels where you have to survive without adding units to your army which play slightly differently.
That said. It's kept me entertained for six fricken hours! So it's definitely an interesting game loop!
I recommend you buy it. Especially as it's on sale right now.
All that said... Two things that I don't like.
1) You have to press the left mouse button down all the time to move your army. Why? You want to move your army the whole time. It's a shame, the army should just follow your mouse, and do away with this unnecessary control. This is a recipe for repetitive strain injury! Using "big picture" I remapped the controls in steam to use a controller instead of the mouse, and had it so I only had to hold down X. It played way better, and was much easier on the hand and reduced my "mouse claw hand syndrome" significantly!
2) It will cause slowdown even on beast PC's on the later levels. I'm running a 1080ti and well, I've seen slowdown. When you get the bombardiers, sometimes their bombs just don't go off because there is too much happening on screen at once. It's a shame, but there you go.
I usually never EVER write reviews about games, ever. But this game is really hard and it took me almost 10 tryes just to get past level 3 just because these knights come into play towards the end and at one point thats ALL that is there, and with the units I have there is too many to take them down and they will just kill me and make me lose yet there is one set of barbarians which is what I need but theres so many that I can fight them, but then I end up with the same number of troops. Which happens with the next level as well.. You get a good amount of units and try to get better ones and when you do only one unit spawns in a group and when you go to take them down to add them to your squad you end up breaking even and its annoying because you cant progress.
So in conclusion I would recommend it only if it is on sale or if this game looks like something you would really like. But watch other people play it first.
it looked nice, but it gets old very quickly.
gameplay consists of killing smaller groups to become a bigger group.
probably nice to kill a few minutes when you are waiting for a better game to download.
just not fun
I have edited my review.
the current release of the game is still a bit buggy, However the dev has finally responded, and fixes for the full screen crash will come soon, along with a few for units getting stuck in terrain
The game can get a bit frustrating still, especailly if you do manage to grow a large army and get wiped out in seconds. There are some tactics to the game. I'ts not a bad game, hopefully once the issues have been fully addressed, it will make for a better game.
Interesting idea.
Legit Game for the Price!
