Do you want to craft magnificent blades and brew powerful concoctions for local adventurers? If the answer is yes - and why wouldn't it be? - the position of local trainee Alchemist-blacksmith has just become available, thanks to a staffing grievance from the resident dragon who decided to e͞at̷ o̶u̵r̀ ̧las̕t͟ ̕trainee̸. Please see below for more details on the J̴̨̧͚̳̩̙͉̫̮̲̲̖̖̻̙͚ͅǪ̷͙̦͔̱͡B̵̨̘͕͉̱̻̣̬͔̱̣̰̫͔̀͘ ̶̛͕͉͙͙̦̰̫̬̪̙̭̹̤̖́͟R͡͏͇̜̲̮̫̞̠̘̞̲̻̥̜͎̱̞͚ͅÒ̷̡̲̪̱̬̞̘͓̻͈̹̗͕̼̬͕̣̀͟ͅL̵͖̭͖̦̤͕̠͟ͅE҉̸̛͔̲̥́

As the local blacksmith you'll be trusted by hundreds of adventurers to provide them with powerful and reasonably priced swords. Adventurers will rush to your stall asking you to craft something as simple as an iron PlainGru sword... What, you'd think you'd be ready to craft a frizzy dragonbone JagMar sword? Of course not, you build up to that! The last trainee we took on that attempted to create a frizzy dragonbone JagMar sword now requires a bag to poop in... Yes, to P̨͠͏̵̮̱͇̬͉̯̙͇̦̥̣̻̣͇͞O͍̹͈̲̣͇̕͞͝͝O͏̘̖̗̤̞̺ͅP͏̸̰͈̖̻̣̹̮̲͇̠̭̤!͏͇͕̩̫̱̼̜̯̹̯̲͚̣͈͎̕ͅ

The cauldron is a beautiful tool for every alchemist. You can create some pretty potent concoctions with this bad boy. I would know, I spent a good time in my college years creating several cheeky potions as a prank. Good times.... Anyway, With the cauldron you'll need to mix a selection of herbs in order to create useable items like health potions or to charge up enchantment stones.

What are enchantment stones? Well, they are stones that have properties to enchant things. It's not rocket science, i mean er witchcraft, well, maybe it is... Anyway! The enchantment stones can be used on swords and daggers to give them brand new properties like fire and ice. Simply etch an engraving on the sword or dagger you wish to enchant (I tend to use a variety of obscenities in various languages) and then rub the enchantment stone across the dagger until it glows. Job done! You'll have a legendary enchanted sword fit for any adventurer. Just be careful where you wave those stones, we will not be responsible for any third degree burns caused by the use of Enchantment stones.

More often than not, the local adventurers do not maintain their blades. This leads to an adventurer running to their mommy from even the puniest of beasts with a few dozen bruises. These adventurers need someone to repair their blades so that they may return once more to defeat the foe that made them look foolish and try to claw back any shred of dignity. Repair their blades using the forge, anvil and hammer. Remember, an adventurer with a broken blade is a poor sorry excuse of a man so treat them with kindness and respect... After they leave and pay for your services you have our permission to snigger or chuckle at their shocking negligence of weapon preservation.

VIRTUAL REALITY
Craft Keep makes use of the Valve HTC Vive’s motion controller capabilities and uses room scale. We’ve been having great fun in the environment and really can’t wait to see players enjoying the game with this tech.

THIS Game is the reason why nobody trusts Early Access anymore !!!
i bought this game thinking the developers would make something out of this good idea
but HELL NO ... THEY ABANDONED IT ...this has the depth of an flash game.... which is sad because the literal same company made the amazing game Shoppe Keep which is awesome.
Dont buy this game for anything over 2 Bucks you will be dissapointed and the fun is gone after something like 45 min
This game had some good potential, and I had been excited for it for ages. I absolutely love medieval/renaissance themes, especially those pertaining to blacksmithing, so you can see why I'd be excited for a blacksmithing VR game. However, there are quite a few problems I have with the game now that I've played it.
I play on Oculus, to which the controllers have sticks, and the movement does not take advantage of this at all. You are stuck to point-and-teleport, something that quickly becomes annoying whilst you're navigating your workshop. The workshop is too big to navigate in the relatively decent space I have (8 x 5 feet) so I am forced to use this teleport function. Oh, and there isn't any option to use either stick for turning. You are locked in place and have to rely on turning physically constantly, something that isn't intuitive when using a wired VR headset.
Another problem is the way grabbing works. The hands feel a bit weird in-game, but it wasn't something I couldn't get used to. However, the real problem lies in picking things up. When you go to pick up objects at a distance, you are to point at them - and then press grab. But you have to release the point button first (the button that brings the object close to you in the first place) and if you don't, the sound effect for pulling it repeats until you either drop the object or grab it. Again, the difficulty with grabbing the object lies in the fact you have to stop pulling it towards you first - and you'll likely drop the object on the ground before you can grab it.
NPCs tend to glitch out, running in place or acting aloof in various ways. Something I could deal with if the game wasn't already infuriating me by this point.
Plus, the game is just grindy and the mechanics not very polished. If you've ever played Puzzle Forge 2 on your phone, then you could know how a blacksmith shop game could work good (though this may be a bad comparison since that game in particular is not VR) but I guess it is how it is.
Overall, I'd like to love this game. But it is just too annoying to play. Hopefully they can polish this stuff up and update it later, and if they do, I'll rewrite my review. But for now, I can't recommend the game.
Abandoned. Just like they abandoned their other 2 games just to make a cash-grab copy.
There really isn't any content either in the game either. You learn the game in maybe 30 minutes, and then it's just a question about grinding and doing the same thing a ton of times.
Still quite buggy, with the controls and movement causing quite a nausetic experience. Still a good gameplay concept although it requires more refinement especially around the moment.
Developer can use point-based teleportation instead of free space, since the only reason why I would teleport is because I want to be in a location where I can operate the tools near that area.
Great game, (I hope this inspires some RTS games ala 'Stronghold', where you craft weapons for castle battlements, and maybe a bit of combat, yourself) but I can see how some people get frustrated so here's some:-
-:Hints:- On the second level, if you think there's a bug that won't allow you to buy metal, it's not. Look around and you will see two large rocks with pickaxes near them, and some ore sticking out. One is iron, the other, silver. This should help you get to that 250,000 Gold stage unlock... O.k. that's another hint. These guys are the wackiest trolls in game development today. The 'alternative' way to unlock the next stage (unless you like really, really, Really!, like mining) is to make an enchanted blade for 'Moira, the absent wizard'... the guy just behind you. You don't have to serve 'every' customer, just the ones who offer you specific rewards that help you craft the enchanted blade. One last hint, the hammer only detaches things, and mends metal. To put weapons back together, you will need to grip both hilt and head, with empty hands (don't try this at home), and pull the triggers to attach them. You will see a little message when you're close. Practice this. Make it reflex, and the game will be 510% funner, for you :)
I do not recommend this game. After the first 2 levels, my grip function stopped working. The buttons work in other games, so I know it's not the hardware, but I cannot get the game to recognize them. Sadly, this prevents getting past level 2.
I tried to contact support, but the support website url has expired.
For a game about making things, this sure isn't too well made
Pros:
-Nice simplistic art style
-Funny dialogue
-Cute music
-The ability to turn off said music if you want to listen to something else, which is unfortunately something quite a few VR games seem to lack
-Little features like giving your character hats, makes the game feel like it's had a fair bit of work put into it
Cons:
-Item physics, things like the back of the chest you throw stuff into not actually being a physical object(so when you throw something at it and it should bounce off the back and land inside the chest, it instead flies right through and keeps on rolling), or the fact that everything in your workshop teleports back to where it was if you let go of it for half a second(No putting down tools to move something, no carrying clipboards around and putting them in places that make doing things more convenient, nothing...)
-Control scheme is wayyy off, as an oculus user it's probably one of the most hard to get used to games I've yet played, if you rest your thumbs on the tops of your controllers like I do then you're going to be in for a bad time, as touching(yes, not pressing, touching) either B or Y will teleport items near your hands(you also have to grip them after they've teleported, which is another reason I don't like the instantly-teleporting workshop tools, if you accidentally teleport laser one instead of clicking a button on one, then it teleports to your other hand and then vanishes before you can do anything)
-Locomotion is bad, and that's saying something in a point-and-teleport game.
Rotating if you're in a front-facing setup is a nightmare as the game bases the rotation on the centre of your playspace(So much for being roomscale, where moving off-centre is the main attraction), not the centre of your character, so in the event that i'm perfectly positioned centrally to the workshop all I have to do is rotate and I'll be thrown off into a table, mix that with instant pure blackening of your vision if you phase into anything slightly and you're going to spend most of your time trying to get unstuck
-Hands are creepy and a challenge to get used to, they're about 3 times as large as actual hands, yet the fingers are disturbingly slender and spaced out, they're off centre and it feels like it's purely built to be a Vive setup, even though the game actively supports oculus touch controllers
-Not sure if it's just my setup, but the text actally seems blurrier than the rest of the game, not to mention mildly pixelated
In conclusion/TLDR:
It'd be a good game if so many small things weren't so overlooked, it's not that there's any one single issue that makes the game unplayable, it's just that there's so many many minor issues that trying to keep on top of all of them whilst still playing the game(within a timelimit for each thing you craft, might I add) is more trouble than it's worth
Unable to pick anything up, tried looking everywhere for a fix or work around, my 7 year old son is very dissapointed, HTC Vive via Steam. It used to work fine, maybe an update screwed it up,,,,
I like the premise of this game but in the current state it's pretty rough. What I can play of it has been pretty fun but I keep running into game breaking bugs. my first round I finished the 1st tutorial mission and closed the game, the next day I started up the second location and wasn't able to order things I needed. I closed the mission, reran the tutorial, then immediately started the 2nd locaiton and that worked okay; until one of the guys running up to place an order got stuck on my forge and just wigged out there for 10 minutes or so until I just quit.
I'm really looking forward to updates and bug fixes that will let me change my recommendation.
Interesting little game.... but BIG warning - if you don't have a solid 3m x 3m square playing area, you'll get frustrated prety quick!!
Great game, but with time pressure on play and manic waving/bending etc, the implementation of real-world positioning is not good.... this game seriously (I mean seriously!) needs to come with a warning. Cupboards or tables around the outside of your play area may well do you or your equipment some damage!
This game seems to be pretty fun. Hopefully some improvements are made (NPC's sometimes bug out by ghosting above themselves while running and chapter 7 stutters so bad I can't play it) but overall it's a fun experience. After 3 hours, it's still pretty entertaining. If you want a more laidback game, I would recommend getting this one.
Edit: No response from devs regarding issues, making the game uncompletable. While fun, I would be wary until more updates come out. (Note the 21 hours on my account should be 3 or 4. There was a bug that caused it to crash but steam didn't realize it closed and left it on over night and through the next day before I noticed).
Edit on June 19, 2017: Still no response from the devs, no update to fix the issues present.
Here's 10 mins of me in it: No dicking around or talking to a camera, just gameplay.

Well I can honestly say this is one of the better overall VR games out there. A bit like Diner Nuo, you will just loose hours in it playing this. its entertaining and fulfiling and the right level of fun and thinking. Great game to play and Show off VR too :D
It's fun for about an hour. There's no real challenge and it's all grinding. Not a bad game, but it could be set up better.
I don't recommend it... at the moment.
Finally, I will be able to fulfill my fantasy of being the guy that makes amazing gear for the adventurers who are saving the world!
This may sound sarcastic, or silly, but the truth is, I truly have had this as a fantasy. being the guy making an enchanted sword that gets used to slay a demon. Or making the bow that takes down a dragon.
While it still has a long way to go, this game is already looking to be one of my favorite vr titles.
====If you are looking for easy and fun game - please don't buy it while it's in Early Access state. Let developers improve experience for you :) ====
Guys i love the idea of being Blacksmith in VR, we found this idea years ago with my friend too, but please change taking button from side buttons to main trigger. I'm asking for this just because i want to play and now it's unbelievably inconvenient :(
Already excellent fun and still in early access! The crafting is well varied and enjoyable; it is rather simplified, but appropriately so for the scale. It also ran smoothly; the only oddity I encountered was, on my first attempt repairing the pick, I was holding it when hitting and the pick head flew way off to the pathway. I had to let the time run out and retry. You may want to wait on this title a while, but certainly do not miss out!
A few specific considerations:
This game will be well worth the money.
~ The single current chapter (and supplementary modes) may not be enough for it to be so yet.
The teleport options are great!
~ Especially quick teleporting to specific "stations".
~ It could use a couple more stations though, especially one for the furnace.
We need a decent way to retrieve items that escape the area.
~ Per a forum post, there is probably a way, but it did not work for me.
~ Perhaps items that pass outside a boundary should be deposited in the chest.
What are we supposed to do with crucibles after pouring the metal out?
It seems silly to be grabbying things bare handed right out of the furnace.
A must have!
I voted for this game in greenlight community.
It's look like "medieval Job Simulator" but there is so much more to explore in this universe.
You have to managed your ressource and your budget.
It's an early acces but the reactivity of the dev team is very cool.
A good start with many item combinations (Blade x Hilt x Modifier) to keep you on your toes and most importantly always have something new to make. Tutorial text needs a massive overhaul and tool tips on items get obscured by the environment and the item itself. Just remember: If the hammer doesn't seem to be working, swing harder.
Kept me entertained for a good hour and a half the first time. I think it shows a lot of promise! I had some frustrations, being left-handed, but nothing particularly bad. The large area the game occupies was fine with my room, but playing for so long became tiring! Not exactly aerobics, but certainly won't hurt!
This Game is full of really cool moments and its really fun being a medival crafter. I was waiting for this game to come out when i first saw it on greenlight and im soo glad it did.But on that note I hope in future updates they add more too the game like getting the ore your self by going into a cave but, If you have a vive and want a good fun game to start out with, I would suggest you get this. :D
