bad dream coma? bad dream? bad... just bad
Not bad, but not my cup of tea, and here are the reason why(worst for last):
1- coherently enough, the story does not happen in the world we all understand, so the logic of some decisions is warped too much for me to see this as a puzzle game, i see it more like "tinker with everything untill something gives"
2-there are 3 endings, and some of them can be blocked simply by mistake and your only recourse is to restart the level, braking any and all immersion you may have acheived.
3-i have seen these story beats a 1000 times
4- the artstyle does not complement the ambiance the story and the sounds set, leaning more into the cartoony rather thant the creepy
5 (and the worst)- some of the actions do not have a real effect untill you have changed locations a few times, couple that with the 1st point and you get a game mainly focused on trial, error and pointless backtracking
The good? the game does shine in its multiple ending mechanic, meaning you have a task in front of you and you know that one of the things you did (the obvious) one sets you on a path to the ending you already got, so NOW you have to scour the map for ANOTHER less obvious way to advance.
Very grotesque or sweet game depending on the path you take.
The art style is unique & the puzzles are pretty challenging.
I decided to check in on this series after not having played any of the games since late 2015 (I think), maybe 2016.
I knew the series was grotesque and violent but I wasn't expecting to be able to smash a wind up baby dolls face in with a crowbar in Chapter 1. This exact choice made me look and helped me find out "hey, there is a karma and route system in this game and I am on the worst possible route, I should restart before progressing any further"
10/10 game as usual, but goddamn this game makes the gamejolt games look tame.
I found this game pretty dull and unappealing. The line-drawn images do nothing for me, they come across as juvenile, like something you'd find in the back pages of a young student's copybook. Everything is very static and lacks meaningful animation. This is just not good enough to make me want to play.
Yes I get it, the drawings and lack of animation plus the sounds and graphic effects are meant to be the unique art style, but even then I don't feel it's been well done. It's just infantile and crude. Whatever the "vibe" was supposed to be, I didn't feel it.
The puzzles here are totally random and solutions completely arbitrary. You run around endlessly, trying items in your inventory on all sorts of things on your screen, while having no idea what to do next. There are no clues. Items that were previously part of the scenery suddenly become active and actionable when revisiting a screen for the umpteenth time, but you wouldn't know because how would you know? By accidentally hovering over the particular pixel?
I'm sorry but my gaming time is too precious for endless, tedious backtracking through the same old screens over and over again to figure out what pixel to finally click on for the elusive tidbit needed at that moment. Even with a guide open, I only managed to get to about half-way through one play-through before giving up. Some suggested solutions in the guide just did not work or items mentioned were not present.
I play games to have fun, and this just isn't fun - at all. It's a frustrating mess designed to suck the will to live out of me, and I prefer games to be inspiring and thrilling. Sorry, but this is a definite thumbs-down from me!
Played the old flash Bad Dream games in my early teens, and this game showered me in nostalgia! Much love to the creators!

I would definitely recommend this game for anyone who enjoys hidden object/puzzle games designed with adults in mind.

The real horror of this game is how it was designed.
Incredibly frustrating. The cursor will not always correctly indicate when you are free to do an action (such as go back), when an item may be used, etc. Had to rage quit after being stuck on a screen where all potential things that could be clicked had been clicked - as in, I canvased the entire screen with my mouse in systematic rows, endlessly clicking, hoping just to either move back or move forward to a new scene. The soundtrack is nice... until you're stuck in these tedious moments. Then it becomes the most grating thing.
I'm glad other people found a way to enjoy this game. I can't even find a way to enjoy the first hour.
ı don't know why but for some reason this game made me want to play it again years latter only to have me try to achive a good ending ı already did...

A very disturbing point and click game that shows you the weirdest dream ever!
Played it on another account more times than I can remember, nothing the author has made except Fever matches up to it.
This game is so increadible it can't be put to words. There aren't many good, creepy games in this vibe and this game is just so amazing. Story is so oryginal and unique, i don't think i've ever seen anything like this. The puzzles are really cool and rather intuitive, but not too easy. Perfect. And of course, the different endings and paths are a great addition to an already wonderful game. If you like this kind of dark vibes and puzzle games, then this is a game for you. It's so good. <3

I love this game style. Somehow its even more terrifying than HD graphics. The sounds and the overall ambience is, even after replaying it still scary af. The story and the different endings are great and the overall mechanics and are really cool. I will totally buy and play the other parts because this is just great. The achievements are a little bit too much but still a nice addition to the game. All in all i can really highly recommend this game,
