Good ol classic casino games
Using the up down arrow to set bets is ridiculous...
I've been playing Hoyle games for over a decade, and this has got to be one of the worst. Unfortunately, all the digital copies of slots, casino, or card games I've purchased in the passed from Hoyle, have become unusable due to the need to digitally verify licenses, and Hoyle no longer supports that ability in those versions. My favorite Hoyle “Casino 2009” is still one of the best, even after Hoyle dropped the online play options. Thankfully, I have a physical copy else it would be useless as well.
Steams Hoyle Official Casino Games seemed like a good deal until I played it. While the games seem playable, I have serious reservations about the “voice acting” of all the characters. Seems they asked the same guy to do all the voices, which is extremely obvious during game play, Unfortunately, it sounds like some kid pretending instead of any kind of semi-realistic acting. The 2009 casino had a good variety of characters with quirks and personalities that were at least believable. This version is so terrible its just not worth playing with any “voice acting” even turned on. So in short. Its ok if you shut off the voices and just play the games. Otherwise, break out the older versions if you want immersion that's a little easier to believe. Gigantic step backwards for a big name like Hoyle.
I should have believed the reviews. Doesn't work right, let me play till I was broke and thats it. It won't let me have any more money. Total waist of money!
I purchased this game because I've had the last 3 iterations of Hoyle Card Games, and the previous version of Hoyle Casino. I am beyond disappointed. I know they can't bring the old characters I came to know and love back, but these characters all just seem so...lifeless. And it feels like they used only 2 voice actors, one male and one female, for everyone. Furthermore, it's fun to play against an assortment of fun loving, and sometimes good looking, characters. There's literally no eye candy here, whereas with earlier versions, you had Chloe, Elayne, Jack, or Tony for eye candy. And every computer character had a distinct personality. Also, the music just isn't as good. Hoyle Card and Casino games in the past had excellent musical selections, but the music here is...disappointing. There's maybe one good song. Until they go back to the old, successful formula, I'm out when it comes to this franchise.

This is a good casino game and I don't see any problems with it.
Some players here mentioned that the talking of the other players annoye them Well you can easily go to "optiones" and mute them or you just mute the whole game and listen to silence or music instead. And they just say on sentence or two, I don't think that this disturbs the playing.
A lot of the games are super buggy (craps). You can remove your bets, you can't place odds, ect. You can disable to annoying player tables chatter (it's crazy repetive) but you still get to watch their talking animation before the game is played. Don't buy this.
Doesnt feel like "casino" at all.
It is just a collection of poker games, blackjack, roulette, etc.
Missing viral elements like the CASINO rooms, the loan room, the casino member card and a lot more.
If u just want to play card games and lucky games i suppose its ok. But if u want a casino game, definitely this isnt that u want
I enjoy playing casino style games, and have owned a Hoyle Casino game in the past. This has very few game options compared to an older version I played which had horse betting, slots, keno, as well as table games. The previous entry also allowed the player to choose their Computer companions while at a table and toggle each companion individually on how chatty they were. I have played for merely three hours before the game decided it will no longer launch claiming inabilty to find a graphic card. Money wasted
This looks more dynamic and more better than Hoyle's Casino 2001 that I had for my Windows 98. So OK it doesn't have slots but at least the new Roulette game is more better as the 2001 version didn't contain a rotating Roulette wheel and the numbers only can be randomly selected by a search-light.
It seems to be working fine on my side, but I don't know if manually trying to type my bet amount works - even with the pencil selected.
But no from me.

I love the Hoyle Casino Games.....because I can play OFFLINE at our cabin where there is no internet connection.....and its a good chance to practice and learn new games. I would love to play card games, and trying to find a good OFFLINE scrabble game....you wouldn't believe how hard that is to find, they all want you online eventually it seems, any suggestions??
I heartily recommend the casino games tho, whether a novice or experienced player!
Lack of options. Played past hoyle games before in high school many many years ago. There are some improvements visually that are passable but can't remove other players? My dad wanted to play just against the dealer but there is no option to remove other players? Texas hold'em cant get the players to shut the hell up. Just play the game in silence is all i want. 2016 with this many years you'd think Hoyle perfected their game by now. The other issue is why can't I type in my bet?!?! The arrow up and down takes forever to place a bet. What happen to the past chips that made it easy to just click and erase my bets???!?! Things have taken a step back instead of moving forward with improvements. Until that becomes an option then I'd recommend it. I bought two copies for myself and my dad but now im regreting it.

So, I'll start with the good: The product has a ton of different games to play (though many are different variations of a common casino game). You can customize your avatar, which is kind of fun to do. Finally, you can control the music and there's a wide selection to listen to.
Now, the things that bother me:
1) The AI won't shut the heck up! They're compelled to talk during every bet and there's no way (that I know of) to hurry them along. It's cute for the first three rounds. After that, it's just useless chatter that just delays the game.
2) No tool tips / mouse-overs. How much do I have on that Pass Line? What's that icon for? What's the odds on this bet? If that information is there, I can't find it. No big deal if you're playing blackjack, but, when you've got money all over the craps table, it would be nice to know.
3) The mechanics to raise/lower your bet just stinks. There's a pencil that you can click - for the life of me I can't figure out what to do when you click it. The only way I can see to raise / lower a bet is to click and hold the up/down arrows next to the bet amount and slowly watch it tick up and down. No typing, no chips to click, nothing.
4) No multi-player. Granted, I knew this going in since the store page states single player. It just would be nice if that feature were added since it seems that most games have an interactive aspect these days.
5) No real satisfaction from winning / losing. I haven't played it very long yet; but, I don't see any achievements or other visual rewards for having a good run of luck or managing bets well. You just have your bank amount under your player icon. That's a bit....boring.
6) I could be wrong, but, it seems the mechanics of the craps table don't work correctly. Can't place odds behind the pass line. Appear to be able to pull down the passline bet after the point is rolled. No easy way to press bets.
Overall - the game just seems to be tossed together without much regard for the user experience. Is it fun? Well, I haven't uninstalled it, but, I could easily see myself moving to a different casino game if one came out.
