In-depth franchise mode got me hooked.
Have you ever seen one of those Hockey fight videos from Quebec? you know where they're just one or two steps away from assault with a deadly weapon. Yeah this is the video game version of that.
Super fun, good challenge, could use more stuff to do in franchise mode though... There comes a point where you can have tens of thousands, or hundreds of thousands of dollars but nothing to really spend it on...
Great little game. Tough to score until you get the hang of it. Love the no swap rule that can be used once unlocked. Smashing into the others as an Enforcer never gets old.

I went into a boxing game and a hockey match broke out.
In the world of half-baked sports simulators, this game stand out as a statement of "more fun = better experience with a video game."
Like the 2k of old and the few retro fifa games (football/soccer), this game is unadulterated fun and nothing else. I have very little experience with hockey but this game singlehandly made me a fan, even though I am pretty sure the real thing doesn't involve fatal groin injuries and inmates haha. There is an addictive joy to this game that is brilliant from the get go and so rewarding to engage with.
It has it's flaws (the pass mechanic, the goal scoring is one dimensional etc etc) but even with its small flaws it delivers a fun and thoroughly enjoyable experience as an arcade sports game.
Try this, you'll love it (especially if you are like me and are frustrated with the AAA sports sims).

Super Blood Hockey is a great combination of an accurate sports simulation and complete video game madness.
Truly one of the hockey games of all time!
The dev also just split with his publisher, so be nice and leave him a positive review if you like his games. He seems like a great guy and his games are nuts!

Disclaimer, I've mostly played this game on my Switch. I am bad at this game. I really suck. I wish I didn't, but it's probably a skill issue. That being said, this game is a lot of fun. I feel like I'm watching the Stanley Cup playoffs every time I play this game with how it gets the blood rushing. 10/10
Sick game
It’s a beautiful combination between NHL Hitz 2003 and Game Dev games. I can’t rely on EA to release NHL so this has exceeded my expectations and is incredibly fun. Finally, a decent hockey game on steam!!
