Very nice and entertaining game, really worth the price, specially now with a 75 percent discount.
The game's story is pretty cool. There are a bunch of glitches that can be used as an advantage to progress the game and a couple of bugs like Roy's appearance kin the main menu screen, but the game's cool in general!
nice game
Takes way too long to get going with barely any guidance.
Batman stands no chance against Dark Fist
good
Super grindy and buggy... can't rollback to a previous save, so I'm just stuck after finally getting back from russia and the next game phase won't start. After 50 days of grinding, nothing happened. Don't waste your time - you'll just be disappointed.
TL;DR: Infuriating and grindy mechanics makes for an unfun experience.
This game has a great potential to be a good game, but most of the mechanics are just infuriating.
The stat-loss is extreme, and only contributes to wasting your time since you will only be able to get a net gain of 10% since the rest is lost to stat-loss.
Whenyou have fought in a fight, your max health will drop momentaily untill you have time to rest. But the game sometimes FORCES you to go into a fight, even though you are right next to the fridge and the bed, to then only lose the fight because your max health is reduced.
The game is also extremely vague about certain actions locking you out of the primary gameplay loop. It is especially bad when you unlock the whole snow level stuff. There's no warning that you will be locked out of the fun part of the game, and have to endure the most insane unfun grind in the game. If it would tell you that doing this action will change the gameplay loop, then you would have time to prepare, but there is NO WARNING.
If you value your time and sanity, I do not recommend.
If you’ve ever dreamed of trading your 9-to-5 grind for a life in the ring, Punch Club is here to pack a punch—both in gameplay and in puns! This quirky management sim meets boxing RPG invites you to navigate the life of an aspiring fighter, all while delivering a healthy dose of humor and nostalgia.
Gameplay: 8/10
In Punch Club, you’ll need to train, fight, and manage your fighter’s life like a pro—after all, it’s not all about throwing punches; it’s about throwing in some clever strategy too! Balancing training sessions, part-time jobs, and social life is like juggling boxing gloves: tricky but necessary. The combat is turn-based, which allows you to plan your strategy—it's like a game of chess, but with more sweat and fewer queens!
Graphics and Sound: 7.5/10
Visually, Punch Club takes a retro approach with pixel art that channels the spirit of the '80s and '90s. The vibrant colors and character designs are a knockout, and they add to the game's charm. The soundtrack is catchy, making it hard not to bop along as you train for your next big fight. It’s a real toe-tapper—just don’t trip over your own feet in the ring!
Story and Humor: 9/10
The story centers around a young fighter seeking vengeance for his father’s mysterious disappearance. It’s a classic tale of grit, determination, and a few plot twists that’ll have you saying, “That’s a real body blow!” The dialogue is peppered with puns and references that will make any movie buff chuckle. You’ll find yourself laughing as much as you’re sweating through training sessions—talk about a well-rounded experience!
Final Thoughts: 8.5/10
Punch Club delivers a compelling mix of strategy, humor, and nostalgia. It’s a game that lets you punch above your weight while keeping you engaged in both the ring and your fighter’s life outside of it. Whether you’re dodging adversity or throwing a left hook at your rival, this game keeps the hits coming.
So, if you’re ready to knock out boredom and step into a world where you can build your own boxing legend, Punch Club is sure to be a real hit! Just remember: in this game, it’s not just about the punches you throw, but also about the punches you roll with. Get ready to glove up and dive into the ring!
Great game with extremely tedious leveling
Rocky
I think this is better than the sequel. Still only kinda meh.
Most of the game is decent, but the end is just so drawn out and repetitive for a really weak ending.
Stat decay is extreme. It contributes to grind instead of gameplay. Also the end game is just boring. I expected more from the developer of graveyard keeper.
Live out your fantasy of actually hitting the gym.
good
The game is good i guess but i am absolutely furious about the russian cabin level . i might just be bad at the game but it took me almost half of my entire game time to beat the snow level. i ended up getting lucky and won but dang, it annoyed the heck out of me!
.

A surprisingly great and fun management sim, plenty of 80's references, different styles and techniques, fun visuals though nothing amazing, they service the game very well. The amount of depth and differences will keep you coming back for more.
great game
fun and cheap game
reccomended but there's so much bug

Punch Club is an insanely addictive and fun experience, especially for fans of those classic fighting games, movies, and TV shows. After 100%ing the game you can really feel how much love was put into this project.
The gameplay itself is incredibly engaging, but, surprisingly easy. Managing your fighter’s training, stats, and resources is intuitive, although I don’t understand how people struggled to complete the game in under 100 days or even 200-300—it felt pretty straightforward to me beating it on normal in 75 days and hardcore in 95 days on my 2nd and 3rd runs respectively.
Out of the three fighting styles (Bear, Tiger, and Turtle), Bear was the only viable and strong option. It’s a shame because Tiger and Turtle ended up feeling vastly underpowered, limiting the diversity of playstyles. Bear’s build allowed for consistent victories, while the others just didn’t have the same strength or efficiency.
As for the end game, it does start to drag. The spacing between fights is too long, often requiring you to wait several in-game days between events without anything else to do. This destroys pacing and turns the final portion of the game into a bit of a grind/bore. If you go for the 'bad path" to not accidentally progress down the "good path" you need to lose fights on purpose to slow progression, hence why so few people have the achievement (nobody bothered lmao).
Overall, Punch Club is a blast, with its quirky references and enjoyable mechanics, but the balance issues and pacing in the later stages hold it back. Still, it’s a must-play for fans of simulation games looking for a fun, nostalgic experience. Excited to play the second!
I had a lot of fun with this game. Good feeling of progress. Perhaps a little too much grind to be top notch. Curious to play part 2 now.
Great example of terrible game design focused on padding time.
Game is not a fun grind like many other the loop is flawed.
Go find some other game
One of the best experiences i had
Splinter teach me spinjitzu
glitchy not even worth the discount
I highly recommend playing this game since it is very underrated & fun. Punch club - focuses on grinding & mastering 1 of the 3 builds you can choose from in the game (Way of the Bear - Strength; Way of the Tiger - Agility; Way of the Turtle - Stamina) and fighting your way through the story of the game.
Useful Tip: In the early game there is an important move, you must learn in your skill tree called 'Skip Attack' this move is very important for conserving stamina in-between fight rounds & is useful for any build in the game (Bear/Str, Tiger/Agi, Turtle/Sta). But don't use 'Skip Attack' in the 1st Round & only equip it after you lose 30-50% of your stamina in a fight.
The endgame grind is so damn long, AND you have literally nothing to do other than fight against the stat decay.. Just go play the sequel instead.
Worth its weight and the wait!
Very repetitive. There could have been so many fun minigames and adventures but instead the highlight of this game is the visual art alone. When you fight you simply watch your character choose from the moves you have placed on his deck at his own will. Why? Why are we not the ones controlling what he chooses when. Even more so the rate of which you lose your training is ridiculous. All the fights are the same, there is many different 'story lines' but they all feel the same and empty. The story really does not even make any sense, I won't spoil anything for you but you never grow an emotional connection to any characters and everybody is very 2 dimensional. Overall the ending is extremely unsatisfying. Why I decided to put 21 hours into this game, I will never know. I did not even have fun, I have no idea why people are praising this game, they must be braindead. An overly simply point and click where your character walks really slow to 1 of the 3 items highlighted in the room, the dialogue is extremely dry and doesn't have a hint of wit. This is like if family guy writers made a game, the entire novelty of it is a bunch of stolen references that are not really jokes or even enjoyable. I know the creators won't update anything as the have misplaced all their efforts in finishing this game. To the creator, I'm sure you are proud of this work, the artstyle and concept is beautiful and that's what attracts people. But the gameplay is terrible and there is no sense of skill required. Please remember that games are all about the person's experience when playing.
I ONLY RECOMMEND THIS GAME DOE TO ITS CHEAP PRICE (currently 10 potatoes)
the Game is fun and all.....
BUT ! its a absolute GRIND ! constantly checking for your food, fun and energy, keeping your training up etc is a absolute chore. you loose training progress everyday and its absolutely insane how much grind that creates.
which makes it sometimes not possible to check out the story or other places because the GRIND is REAL. you cant actually fight yourself, its automated with mathed out chances of hitting or beeing hit, you just choose the skills you want to use and decide via skilltree what you want to unlock. which makes some fights BS, cause sometimes your skills and stats are better then from your opponent BUT....for some reason the math is against you and you just keep getting hit and you cant hit them enough.
On Easy mode the progress in your training stays, which makes it possible to just chill and take your time and the enemies are the same as in normal mode, but you get no achivements in that mode and you turn overpowered the longer you play.
the game itself has quite a few bugs, some of them require you to restart your game or make annoying Problems.
i played it first on normal but the grind got annoying so i switched to easy and i realized one thing that might be a absolute Punch in the face for the people who played the game through on normal or even worse gone straight to hardmode first time playing.
and that is... !!!! SPOILER BELOW!!!!

!!! SPOILER !!!
the ending is absolute garbage and the story makes no sense and the game just ends with a meme punchline. one of the worst and most confusing endings i have ever seen.
!!! SPOILER !!!
A very complex work of art. A must have. Good fisting action. +1 Because of sewer turtles. swag
A very unique game with a pixel theme and an interesting story
Its a pretty good game to past the time, it's a little hard if you don't understand what you're doing. For me it was one of those games that I had to look up a guide to do well. But otherwise it was a pretty good game
I wanted to like this game. I love the studio behind it! But sadly, I just cannot recommend it because of the stat decay system. It feels like you spend a lot of time going backward, for no real reason other than to increase the grind and playtime. The game itself is fun aside from that.
not your every day type of game i like the story i wish i could fight vs watching the fight
This game is an amazing retro boxing game
this is a fun game it takes abit to get use to it but trust me it is worth it
çalışıyon adam dövüyon müq oyun
very cool retro style game but i think it gets a bit repetitive at times where you just sleep eat 2 stakes go to work buy more stakes and go to the gym every now and its not that good when your stats kinda drop in the early game but overall very good game
story is a little wacky and thrown together at times, but the fighting builds are fun to make. lots of little bugs but nothing too serious.
I just finished my first run in 15h ^^ As expected it's just pure grind but the story and chapters you go through are entertaining. Complaining about the grind since this is more clicker then point & click adventure, or lack of story is nonsense. It's a minigame and on sale def recommended if you're into this types of games. The amount of funny references is huge and even I got downed by events or the late game training I also got always some other events or story related progressions your character went through that helped me through the hard times. I have no idea how annoying the heavy diff achievement will be but so far I'm cool with this title
08/10
