The best split screen shooter I've played. By far the funnest local coop FPS there is. Exploring the levels is so fun too, perhaps more fun than the shooting. Decent variety of guns, almost quake like. Not worth playing solo, but it is a no-brainer for coop.

Cool game to play with children on the same screen, but the greatest problem here is a lot of crashes on both linux native build and proton, on some maps I see black spaces instead of textures (especially on dunes map) - rerun is required. If I switch to proton after ~ 1 hour of gaming everything became very slooooow, rerun is required. Just to clarify: I'm talking about split screen mode, ubuntu 22.04, config is R7 5800X3D + 32 GB RAM + RTX4070, tried bunch of drivers (535-550)

This game looks amazing and played very well.
but it needs more players.
Maybe go Free to Play with a big announcement or something; it needs more people to know about it. Maybe implement a Twitch interrogation so like [twitch drop] or even a [wave-like game mode where Twitch chat can pick enemies]; that way you would only need one player to play. Maybe get creators to try it and play it on streams. Maybe more party minigames.

I have not played it recently, nor after the major updates. When it first came out, before it was really popular, it was a lot of fun, especially in Co-Op. Funny and very different, highly creative. The characters originally had more movement, more tokens to get, and could build a lot more. Characters could jump easier and shoot more. Then it got nerfed and some of the aspects that made it fun were altered in such a way that made it irritating, and not the same. Not nearly as fun. Hopefully the updates, new game modes and maps made a difference. It was a goofy and interesting game.
This game is really refreshing. Zero microtransactions, all cosmetics are unlocked through gameplay and only cosmetic. I didn't think I'd like the tower-defense style gameplay loop, but it really grew on me.
However, I do wish that there was more developer support for this game. The updates are few and very far between. After completing all missions on the hardest difficulty, you're left with nothing to do.
The Small Soldiers game we wanted but never got. please play multiplayer.

It's a fun game, but you will mostly play against bots as the community isn't that active.
looks nice, works nice, but not active community. don't give me the "go to discord and find someone" crap, because that's coping. if a multiplayer game has no active players, then it's not multiplayer.

It's definitely entertaining, to say the least. I would recommend it. I gave the controller to one of my young nephews and he's somewhat skilled at perspective shooters and REALLY LIKES the T-Rex Boss Battle! The array of weaponry is cool.

Would recommend, this is a more beginner friendly Tower defence game which doesn't require a strong defensive build and can be largely cheesed with lots of walls so you can just gun down any enemies. I was largely satisfied with the amount of content in the game as I felt it did have a strong start and finish, I just felt like the game was missing a little polish, like I did once just clip through a wall and fall into the void and sometimes an enemies would just get stuck in out of bounds and I would have to wait for the game to kill them. These instances are few and far between but over 48 hours of playtime you do end up seeing a few and I would still recommend this game.

This will obviously get tons of comparisons to the old Army Men games, but its honestly better. Its incredibly obvious how much love and passion went into it; not many games these days seem to remember the joys of playing splitscreen with buddies and siblings on a summer afternoon, but the spirit of those simple times is very much alive in this game. I have two very small complaints, though. First, the boss battles are pretty underwhelming and consist mostly of pumping bullets into a large enemy that, for the most part, won't ever attack you directly (with one notable exception that I won't spoil). Second, the tower defense aspect feels a bit unpolished. To be fair, I could be at fault for this, but I never felt like I could afford to build the more expensive defenses. Either the bots i played with took my coins or the buildings themselves just cost way too much. However, these are very minor complaints as the game is very clearly meant to focus more on the multiplayer aspect, which is fantastic.

you create and customize your toy figurine (including its plastic box) and then go to kill others toys in rooms, garage, backyard, kitchens, basically toy story gone FPS! absolute blast and the multiplayer is still very much active, how fun, my new favorite game, how is this not a franchise already? we need more FPS with toys in big human size levels, we're all big kids after all!
The is such a fun game! I didn't realize how much i was addicted to this game til i saw how much time went by. Even my friends want in on the fun. I love the nostalgia vibes i get when playing this game.
