In the Quest for Glory pack, which contains all five parts of the classic action RPG games by Sierra, you create your own character, choose his class and abilities and then set out on your grand voyage. Quest for Glory games are universally acclaimed as one of the best adventure games ever developed. After completing a part, you can import your character into the next one, keeping your skills and some special rewards you've hoarded, like magic items.
The story is another of the Quest for Glory series' strong points. It's very solid and immersive, with a light-hearted and humorous narrative that will keep you glued to the screen throughout each of the five installments.
- Includes both: VGA and original version of Quest for Glory 1.
- Venture across five huge worlds, each based on a different culture and mythology, from Germanic fairy tales, through Arabian and Slavic folklore, right down to Greek mythology.
- Three starting character classes to choose from (fighter, magic user, and thief). This decision not only modifies the gameplay but also the story, providing for excellent replayability.
- You can transfer your character from one game to the next. The skills and wealth you worked for so hard are not lost!

entertainment and brain teasers for hours, # 4 is my absolute favorite. you got about 60 to 80 hours of entertainment in this bundle. even better with a friend with you
The Quest for Glory (originally Hero's Quest but they failed to trademark the name and someone else nabbed it - if memory serves me correct). This series is an absolute classic of the 3D adventure gaming genre. I grew up on Sierra Online and Lucasfilm games and loved all of them. I am currently on a trip through nostalgia and am enjoying a replay of all the old Sierra games. I am particularly enjoying my replay of QG1 & QG2. My overall rating of the series is high. QG1 is wonderful, QG2 is epic and is the best game in the series imho, QG3 is decent with great art and an interesting storyline, QG4 was mostly okay and worth a play but definitely marks the series descent with it bottoming-out in QG5 which I've never played through and basically dislike it because it deviated so much, both in gameplay and graphics, from the original (and ergo I can't comment on the plot because I never played it enough to know). Perhaps I would like QG5 if it was a different game not part of the QG series (meh). I wish they had just stopped at QG4 - like so many series (whether games, TV or films) sometimes creators just don't know when to stop. Overall, however, Quest for Glory is still one of the best games out there, in that genre. In general, I felt the Sierra games lost something when they moved from a parsing gameplay to point-and-click but some of the latest series were still decent and worth a play (KQ5, SQ4, QG3 & 4, etc.) but that's just my personal opinion.
fantastic classic. Brings back memories from playing on my 486 DX33 if anyone knows what that is!
Dazzling modern graphics, complex and nuanced gameplay, progressive character development, licking blue frogs. What more do you want? Nothing.
Exactly.
Brings back fantastic memories! A lot of care and adventure built into these games. . . so entertaining to have the option to create your hero personality!
CLASSIC video game goodness
I currently finished QG1 EGA edition, took me 14 hours. Some things were stupid like what you have to do in the thieves place. Some things are awesome like Erana's place, or a spell I haven't seen anywhere else, the trigger spell.
I can't remember when I played the 1st game, my cousin had it and passed it to me, but then I played the 2nd, the 3rd, and I remember playing the 4th in spring 1994.
If you like old school retro games this is the O.G. RPG for you! I played this as a kid even before Microsoft Windows was out. It's pioneer games like this, that shaped the future of gaming with classes and customization of skill sets to level up in video games. This game has it all: combat, puzzles, and good narrative story.
Quest for Glory 1-4 is a masterclass in blending RPG and adventure—heroic deeds, witty dialogue, and just the right amount of puzzle-solving chaos. You’ll fight, charm, and laugh your way through beautifully crafted worlds. (Pro tip: 2 is a buggy nightmare, but there’s a fan-made version that brings it up to par. Do a little digging—you’ll thank me later.)
But Quest for Glory 5? It’s like watching your beloved hero finally level up, only to immediately die of dysentery in a cutscene you can’t skip.
Play 1-4 and cherish every moment. Avoid 5 at all costs—it’s the tragic epilogue nobody asked for.
I love these games. I played them when I was a kid and now love going back and replaying for nostalgia.
Absolute best OG p&cags/rpgs ever, full of humour, quirks, and secrets I'm still discovering decades later.
Full disclosure: #1 (VGA remake), #3, & #4 are the best.
Great story but (especially QFG2) is buggy. Recommended for nostagic players. If you want something similar with less bugs King's Quest might be a better choice
Great games. Unfortunately, I can't save my character not having an "A" drive anymore and thumb drives don't count. Otherwise still lots of fun for the keyboard warrior.
