Warhammer 40,000: Sanctus Reach is a 3D turn-based strategy game like you’ve never seen before: fast, immediate, deep, impressive to look at and incredibly fun! Lead the Space Wolves in their struggle against the Orks through two uncompromising and long story-driven campaigns: Stormclaw and Hour of the Wolf. Command several dozen different authentically crafted units and heroes, with unique and extremely detailed 3D models that bring the universe of Warhammer 40,000 to life.
The gameplay is rich and varied: spend your points, make your list, choose your deployment, and fight! Units at your disposal have different abilities, strengths and weaknesses, can level up and are carried over between scenarios. Choose among many different types of weapons, watch your flanks and make a wise use of the terrain: any tactical choice will be vital.
With a campaign system, a skirmish mode, a map generator and multiplayer PBEM++ support the game offers endless replaybility.

Great game if you don't mind the space fleas and space ticks that come with playing the Space Wolves.
WARNING: This game is broken. After one short play, it will not continue or restart campaign. Searched community discussion - fail to start is a common issue. I tried uninstall and delete folder - no joy.

Closest find i;ve found yet to tabletop experience
another very very fun 40k TBS with some VERY large scale battles. I think the last mission in one of the campaigns had upwards of 40-50 fuckign squads of enemies/player controlled and took almost 2 hours to beat.
it was amazing
I'm surprised. This game didn't look like it was going to be so great even on sale, i'm really enjoying the more free turn based tactics, with being able to move even after shooting depending how you so it. love the character models, this game is what it is, and it is fun, feel the intensity of a respectable franchise, with the chance to stop and think when needed.
Great game to introduce me to the worlds of warhammer!
It's so good, SO SO good. Looks a little rough but it plays just right really defied expectations.
I just wish it had more. Already fairly affordable on it's current pricing but definitely worth a buy on sale.

Ok, so you know Xcom enemy unknown or Xcom 2? You know how those games have squares were you move your units to and you have a percentage chance to hit the enemy each time you shoot?
Apply all of the to Sanctus Reach, then add a little jank that somehow makes the game super charming and you get this game. The campaign just like a lot of games will ease you into things, starting you off with a small amount of space wolves to command and slowly unlocking new units as the game goes on.
The whole thing doesn't feature much voice acting though and you can't play as the Ork side unless you go head to head against one of your friends or play the skirmish mode against the AI. Then you can play as the Ork faction. They seem a little underpowered compared to the space wolves though, which can be a little frustrating if you play against your friend.
What about against the AI though? Buddy, if you face the AI in the skirmish mode I bet you can win as any faction on normal difficulty. They are so so so dumb. It makes really stupid decisions, it will trigger reaction fire from your units, and I once seen it run back and forth like a toddler at a choke point. The obvious move was shooting the rock in the way or going around but the AI ran its units back and forth like a 3 year old that just discovered its mother's lipstick and decided it was time to paint the hallway.
In other words if you're like me and play this game to relax while having dinner you will have a great time. If you're here to flex your tactical mind, you need a friend cause the AI ain't gonna cut it.
Oh yeah, 2 more downsides I really need to mention. this game really needs team colours. One time I was playing against the space wolves as the space wolves. I shot orbital rockets at my own men for 2 turns because I thought they were the enemy. Leman russ would not be proud!!
Also a lot of the factions like the demons of chaos are DLC. So be expected to pay a bit unless you want to play with a few variations of the orks and the space wolves. That's everything I have to say though. PEACE OUT.

One of the best 40k tabletop representations on PC up there with BattleSector and Armageddon. Wish there were more campaigns and more chapters to play as imagine a Rynn's World or Armageddon or hell even an Indomitus crusade campaign.
Although not as graphically strong as games like battlesector, this game provides a more tactical approach with more RPG mechanics. Overall a fun play, definitely a good grab, especially if on sale

Still feels great!
The game won't start anymore, i don't know what happened, but one day, i tries to start the game and it just won't, nothing seems to be going wrong here, but when i click start game on steam, it just read "launching" but nothing happen, i tried to go into game folder and launch the exe, get nothing, i uninstalled reinstalled several times, get nothing. The game is broken somehow and i have no idea why or how, there is also zero information online. so if you enuncter the same bug problem like me you won't find the answer.

A hugely enjoyable game. Hours of entertainment. It could do with ongoing support as it has the basics to make this a far more expansive game setting. Worth whatever you pay for it.
I won' t lie, when I first tried this game after BattleSector I was extremely disappointed. The controls felt clunky and I just felt overwhelmed with things not working the way I expected. I stopped playing and only picked it back up recently.
Boy am I glad I did! This game is full of goodness. It isn't as high fidelity as BattleSector, but I think it is the better game overall - with more diverse units and play. I wholeheartedly recommend.
