This is Ubisoft. One of the worst company i had to deal with. Don't give money to them.
I have spent countless hours of fun in this game, until they removed the options to turn off disasters completely.
This should be optional for users as everyone has a different playstyle.
Forcing disasters on people is not fun.
Also the services and the game itself is unstable, sometimes not launching or losing connection.
It is obvious that they are in the process of killing this game off, just to force us to play their new games, which is disgusting, so I would not support them in any ways anymore.
This is how you ruin a great game.
Shame.
One of my all time fave city builder game
If something goes wrong and you can't access your verification code, log in with one of the six recovery codes generated for you during your 2-Step Verification activation (which you should have received the same day by email).
Note: You get six recovery codes because they're not reusable. So you'll need to immediately deactivate your current 2-Step Verification settings. Then reactivate them again with a new Authenticator app session.
Warning: Production breakdown
No clear guidance on how to progress, the UI is a mess, the building menus are confusing. One of the worst game I ever bought.
** No. Save your time and move on. **
Super janky with blockers that aren't explained and make no sense. Most of my time spent trying to figure out what the game forgot to tell me.
Gave it two chances.
Space Anno sadly wasnt for me. Glad they went back to the classical recipe.
Not sure why people say it does not work bc it DOES! I love the franchise and this one seems to be up with the others. I recommend.
Bought this game because I enjoyed Anno 1800, but this is not even the same style of game. Fixed vertical camera angles is just lame, mission based fragmented gameplay removes 99% of any immersion, fundamentally disrupting the management sim function and focus. Not what I would recommend if you want a similar experience to Anno 1800, but with more modern (or futuristic) tech.
this game is 100% completly difrent from the physical copy od this game it is just ano 1404 with a fresh coat of paint with woud be fine if there was not a physical copy of this game the is completly difrent and mutch better and is also just more then just ano 1404 with a fresh coat of paint
One of the worst games I've played.
You should under no circumstance buy Ubisoft products. Not only that, but this game requires Ubisoft Connect and you cannot log into it meaning the game won't even launch. Let this company die.
One of the best game series brought to ruin by Ubisoft.
Just get it elsewhere, from a girls thats fit perhaps, much better experience.
Well, I love Anno and I like this game so far. It is, besides some gfx quirks, not bad. As mentioned, the problem is the forced use of Ubisoft software/account. I also never wanted an account or login, so I felt a bit tricked after the purchase. Another fact annoying me is the time it takes to start. After a few glitches, the game runs smoothly, but from time to time there is a lag in data processing, which is slightly upsetting as I own a new PC with enough capacity to run the game in a good manner. The story is nice and different from other Anno versions, which offers nice gameplay. In general, I do not regret buying the game.
What to say about Anno 2070... It's a marathon type game. Good for if you've got lots of time to kill or if you're willing to play in small chunks over a long period of time. Even with large islands and plenty of resources it can still be a challenge to find room for everything so organization and efficiency are king. If you're like me, you'll feel the satisfaction of relieving that pseudoOCD itch once you've had enough time to experiment and find what organizational patterns work best.
is cool
Sehr gut gealtert und hoch aktuell.
this game is great in my book
I try to play the game, takes me about half an hour to reset password several times where i can log in to online portal with that new password, but cannot activate the game. As beside STEAM, U NEED UBISOFT CONNECT TO PLAY. It broke my nerves, i will not play any game that has this nerve breaking system. AVOID AT ALL CAST IF U ARE SANE AND RESPECT YOURSELF! UBISOFT SURELY DOES NOT RESPECT YOU ANYHOW
Can't wait to play Anno 117. Hopefully there will be a lit trailer/gameplay for the Game Awards.
Okay, yeah there's the thing that everyone else complains about, but that's not my problem.
This and all Anno games have weird pacing. It takes a looooooooong time to get through a game. This is worsened by a lack of data available in-game. Specifically, why not make it obvious in-game the normal output of each building in t/min? Why can't I get a predicted time for travel and loading for a trade ship? Why do I have to wait for a bunch of cycles to figure out if I have enough buildings or I set up my trade cycles correctly? The stats buildings aren't helpful in this regard.
Also, the mechanics of the world seem... weird. All the employees on one island are modeled merely as consumers. But there's no market, you simply get more or less tax out of them based on how happy they are with the goods you can supply for them. Each "class" of citizen consumes different items with no substitution, albeit with higher classes consuming more variety. Where they get the money to pay tax? Presumably from working at your buildings, but the buildings have a largely fixed expense cost. It's not clear if citizens pay for their goods. They can live and work anywhere, but no commuting is modeled, as long as their house is within the radius of a city center and the workpace has access to a depot or processing building.
If I squint, I can see a very simplified and abstracted economic model here, but it just feels a bit off. Some of this is more fleshed out in Anno 1800, especially the need to commute, but even that version has an even bigger oversimplification. You can trade with other factions, BUT ALL GOODS TRADE AT A FIXED RATE. The only difference seems to be if you "actively" trade for goods offered or requested at other markets, or they "passively" buy or sell from you. As is typical for Anno, it's not easy to figure out the prices for your excess goods. You have to click on the foreign trading posts to see their prices for reqeusted and offered goods, and for everything else you just have to pay attention at the time of trade. Still, it's always a fixed price based on the nature of the trade. Moreover, it's not clear if the NPCs have a dynamic supply and demand of goods or its hard coded.
Like, what's the point of playing as a central city/industry planner if you can't plan for the demands of a diverse citizenry corner a market for foreign sales?
I mean, I'm playing it, I feel COMPELLED to play it because it's addictive for reasons I cant explain. So, I can put this one in the category of games that are addictive and compelling, but take a LOT of time and leave me feeling empty besides the need to play more. I wish I hadn't bought this but now that I have, I want more.
Its not perfect, the launcher and garbo surrounding it is harshly bad. But the game itself is satisfying. A must play for fans of the genre, and better in droves than 2205
Love the fact i don't get a condemned house when it upgrades Houses upgrade once demands are met. I will be playing this off and on for years to come.
Love the game but hate the publisher ... need to login to a Ubisoft account to play the game but most of the time their servers are down so you cant login to play the game.
A Ubisoft service is currently unavailable
Here is what Ubisoft just told us, we don't care that you paid for this game over 10 years ago we are coming back and changing it to require the lunching of Ubisoft Connect and we will also need your password too on every lunch, games that I bought on Ubisoft Connect don't have these requirements its just out of spite to people who did not buy on there platform, Ubisoft is making a great case for us not buying there games and just pirating them instead.
Requires Ubisoft account to play.
nice game
Easily my favourite and most played anno game.
Fantastic ANNO. Glad we can still play it, and with multiplayer!
Ubisoft forces you to log into their service before you can launch the game, but then doesn't keep the required servers online so you can actually log into the service. This is a totally useless game that can't be launched in 2024. I won't be buying anything from those thieves again.
Almost went bankrupt and engineers began fleeing my city enmass when my ship transporting burgers was sank by enemy subs. 10/10 Would restore my city and bomb the enemy island to the stone age again
Boats
Anno series is a great experience. Ubisoft launcher makes it not worth the purchase, if you lose access to the old email linked to Ubisoft there is no recourse to transfer your ownership via CD code or account transfer EVEN THOUGH YOU OWN IT ON STEAM!
Anno is Cool, Ubisoft is not.
Game is great but oh my stars Ubisoft Connect login required every launch is very frustrating. Half the time it doesn't recognise your password and then it locks you out and suspends your account for a few hours. I JUST WANT TO PLAY THE GAME
sadly we live in the timeline where the tycons fucked the whole planet
Needs multiplayer like dawn of discovery. Good Game
Anno line is always fun...been playing them since the very first game release years ago
Login to third party crap. FU
Needs ubisoft account to play
Shove your piece of shyte launcher deep in your arse and fuck off.
Why can I not play, again?
Ubisoft does not recognize my old pwd... (why?)
Recover pwd... (why?)
Servers down... (why?)
Btw. I can log in and see that I still own half my games that I once bought... not all... (why?)
Please, remove the 3rd party license stuff.
It does not fulfill its goal: pay > not able to play, pirate > able to play.
i cant play this game why?
Anno 2070 is a worthy addition to the beloved city-building series. While the game starts off a bit bleak, it quickly evolves into an engaging experience. The futuristic setting introduces cool new mechanics that refresh the familiar Anno formula. Despite a slow beginning, players who persist will find a deep and rewarding strategy game that lives up to the series' reputation.
A close future tech era game of Anno series, after the 15th-18th century themes. Technology upon colonisation and economy makes a good atmosphere and underwater is a beautiful feature of this game.
Mechnaically and technically better than 1404 with a less classical, but interesting setting. Music again is a ten-outta-ten.
love the game
i think its fun
