Fun game overall, well made and great time killer, gets harder as you go on, which makes the challenges harder, and that's what makes this game so fun, i never feel like im to over powered, or that im to under-leveled

Damn, I lack of words to describe how i love this game, guess I´ll let my playtime speak for me. Unfortunely the price of the game and all of his DLC´s its ridiculous and unacceptable but far from making this game any close to be a bad experience.

PS: If you play with mods it gets 100% better.

You can not skip the 15 minute credits, but the rest of the game is great!

I really like this game! I bought it for my PS4 back in the day and liked it enough to buy it again here. In my opinion, a console controller definitely improves the handling-experience, but all in all a fun time either way!

the game is fine enough as a single-player experience, but the multiplayer experience has been nothing short of an unmitigated disaster. it's either so laggy as to be essentially unplayable, or the missions fail to load properly causing a softlock, or the missions fail to progress properly, also causing a softlock.

supposedly this game is meant to be played with friends, but it's quite literally impossible to do so. the worst part is it can take more than 2 hours just to unlock the ability to play multiplayer for a few reasons: the game throws 8 years worth of new systems into your face with only text explanation, it does a poor job pointing new players in the direction of how to actually unlock anything, and by the time i was able to figure it out more than 2 hours had passed meaning i can't even refund at this point.

i feel scammed.

Honestly? It's a great game. Came out long ago and is STILL ongoing to this day, I've played this on the XBOX, Nintendo Switch, and now i'm on PC. Modding community is also fantastic!

If you get this game, and you do want a new experience? Get Xenoverse Revamp!

But yeah, great game overall. 10/10, would play multiple times again!!

It' a great game but it has a buttload of flaws like for example a lot of the extra content is locked behind DLC or how a lot of people (at least in my experience) don't play online PvP which makes the game boring (i also don't have friends to make the game more fun) overall it's a good game and it has held up well for all those years... I recommend the game but please know that if and when you finish the story if you're too lazy to 100% the game then it will get extremely dull super fast (not like anyone will read this) : )

i have way more hours on the console version of the game, but i guess you should also buy the pc port (PLEASE BANDAI GIVE US XENOVERSE 3!!1!!!!!!!!!!!!1111!111

This game is sooooooooooooo fun and with mods it is one of the best dragon ball games ever if you want a fun and easy game with easy modding this is surely the one for you😁😁

No cross platform so online play is pretty much dead. The reason why this game is still buyable on PC is only because of mods. Enabling Cross Versus AI on every NPC, Revamp Mod & Quest mod. If those thing did not exist, then this game is not worth buying on PC.

For anyone who wants to play this on PC, use mods. If you want online pvp then go buy it on console.

This game has been a great game I've been playing this game for years and just bought it again for pc and this game will always be amazing.

Alright so games biggest problem imho, so much content and even limited time events locked behind DLC paywalls and 301 mother rucking dollars for all the dlc content??? Online events are the quickest way to rank and level up, especially on a low level character but the lovely game devs decided that you must have other players in your party to run the events, and no solo mode. Well multiplayer is pretty much dead and unless you wanna sit there hours at a time or get lucky to find a match ( happened to me ONE day out of several i tried, for just ONE event ) then youre simply out of luck and have to miss out. Theirs no seperate gear and cosmetic screen so if you want to look cool, youll have to sacrifice some gear stats. The gameplay is mostly all the same, button mash combos, rinse and repeat. Sadly a huge negative too on top of everything already listed, if you want to make a new character ( only way to change appearance, and theirs multiple different races to choose from which greatly alter appearance ) oh well. Gotta start back at level one like youre fresh off tutorial island. You do keep your gear you earn spread across characters but thats it. DBZ games like this just make me miss the beloved tenkaichi 2 even more

I really love xenoverse.
I don't think its the most compelling arena fighter in terms of gameplay, but to say something controversial even the best arena fighter tends to be less mechanically compelling then most traditional fighters and even most 3d action games, but xenoverse really makes that lower tier gameplay work by making each fight almost like an mmo raid not to mention the story and world and collectables give a chance of a fun reward after every fight, and ya know I AM NOT IMUNE TO MAKING AN OC. I’ve put hundreds of hours into the series but am only now posting a review because i’m tired of steam asking lol

This game is always fun for me. It was the first dragon ball game I played since BT1. The endless amounts of customization between skills, transformations, costumes, and various other components of the game allow for such a different feeling than other Dragon ball games have to offer.

Solid 8/10.

This games good for PVE but PVP is so ass its laggy as all hell and the netcode is constantly committing suicide. So honestly for a game thats had so many updates there is no reason the netcode should still be this bad its actually frustrating trying to play this game and just watching the enemy skip around like a modder in a GTA lobby. also sparking zero is out wtf are you looking on xenoverse 2 for!?

Best and most fun game I love the show dragon ball and now that it is a game i have been playing it forever you should get it there are tons of fun battles!

I didn't even know much about Dragon Ball before this game, but even then, this game is amazing! It has so many characters to mess around with, and the combat system makes the game go from "Oh wow that's pretty nice" to "GOOD GOD I JUST THREW SOMEONE INTO A MOUNTAIN AGAIN!" Overall, I give it 2 Vegeta Hairlines out of 1 Dragon Ball.

Very fun game (coming from someone who isn't crazy about fighting games) but good lord the amount of DLC. Just bundle it into one pack that's cheaper.

8/10. WIsh Goku and the others would remember who I am through out the story instead of seemingly having more Memory problems than me though. hopefully Xenoverse 3 changes that!

Pretty fun. Used to play this on my Switch with my pals in highschool during lunch. Being able to make your own custom character is a neat gimmick too.

played when it first came out back in 2016 was a nice inprovement on what xenoverse 1 layed out. always felt that xeno2 was ironed out a bit better then one. had not played in a few years but recently got back into the game to see it still going very strong and have a lot to catch up on.

I would have gave a positive score if the mission "Knock em down advanced" was not f..king broken from launch and after 8 years is still not f..king fixed. Really one of the tutorial mission and it's still broken after 8 years!? Yeah no f..k that I don't recommend the game!

An amazing game, good story, good characters, good graphics, and it is very good

I have way more hours on console version. Just recently built my computer last year, and if you like full character customization, this is a nice game. It's got a TON of skills, a TON of outfits, a TON of characters, and it's a different feel from Tenkaichi or Budokai series. People are cheap online but you can easily be just as cheap back to them >:)

genuinely not a good release. Piss poor localization job with issues left unfixed for going on ten years like text leaking out of the text boxes, text not even matching whats being said by the voice cast, crashes on all platforms of the game still exist somehow, easily the worst of the dragon ball game artstyles to boot. I genuinely don't see how so many people stuck with this game for all this time. genuinely sad, must've been some kind of stockholm syndrome

Have grinded this game on the switch, now I own it on pc for mods. Really fun

Playing this game alone is a miserable experience. I don't know what they did with the drop rates since the last time I played it, but in my few hours I got one equipment from Parallel Quests. I'm not the one to wish for instant rewards, but this is just ridiculous.

The friendly AI is also extremely incompetent. You have to babysit them especially in those missions where you fail if they die. They'll just stand around like a lemon while you're getting mauled and suddenly burst into life and activate a skill while you're trying to combo and disrupt you.

Also in my experience it's difficult to hit with almost any super as the enemy will 9/10 times just get out of the way. Maybe I'm to blame for not playing well, but I resorted to just hitting them with basic attacks.

That is to say, playing with your own character is awesome and a dream come true, graphics are pretty good, animations could do some work and music is really excellent. It's just so frustrating if you don't have someone to play with or can't because the damn EAC doesn't work on LInux. Dragon Ball Fusions for 3DS is an excellent alternative if you want your own character, are into RPGs and like the fusions.

Honestly? Great with friends. Better than what you would find on roblox at least lol.

An absolute blast the first playthrough, but quickly becomes repetetive (especially if playing alone).

If you're a fan of Dragon Ball though, i'd definitely recommend :)

At first I was disappointed since I had to find instructions to proceed and find a battle I could do just to test the controls. Then when I did, they were difficult to get used to and learn combos and understand the Ki levels and stamina. Over time though, I have come to really like the game and all the things you can do. Its an advanced combo game that allows for much flexibility and fluidity, and I am very pleased with the game now.

This game is just good fun to play. Endless customization and interesting mixes of powers and abilities. Plus they keep updating the games so you'll be able to always find something new.

only get the game on sale. At the end of it's life. That's what I recommend for really any dbz game solely due to the amount of DLC they get.
It wouldn't be so bad if wasn't so many at steep prices. On average if you want all the dlc's using only the packs they offer it's like 90 bucks
the base game is still fun so don't worry. Just keep it in mind.

sparking zero will also likely have this issue, though it is much more worth the value imo

This game is so fun the story is super fun and the online is the best. This has got to be one of the best dragon ball games after sparking zero, 10/10 i recommend.

Hands down one of the best dragon ball games you coud ask for. I definitely think sparking zero would take precedent for now, but if you play too much of it or need a break then Dragonball xenoverse 2 is the perfect game to dive into with an original story, great customization, interesting combat mechanics, and a handful of way you can test yourself and play. Whether its through changing your race or combo style.

too much dlc not included in a bundle, inactive player base with no crossplay. good luck progressing solo. would only recommend if you have ppl to play with for PvE

Overall a good game my problem is the sync issue. I play on steam deck but every time I try to play on my PC my progress doesn't save. Idk if its my issue or because its not supported on steam deck.

Does work and run well on a Steam Deck, however the online features are not access-able on Steam Deck due to the anti cheat. Still a great Dragon Ball game I would recommend to anyone who likes the anime.

It has a good story, the character designing feature works very well, and has a lot of playtime.

It's overall a functional game that can bring joy. But it also feels very slow and most of the time very boring.

The story mode is a mix of nostalgia and fan service, and the multiplayer has its highs and lows, but when it works, it’s a blast. If you’re a DBZ fan, Xenoverse 2 is a no-brainer.
