DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2

this game is good but it pisses me off all the time. u cant complete the last few things at the acadamy because the game itself will either a u press the buttons and it does the moves but it wont count it and b because when u do a move the trainer moves before u can land it i tried to complete the second to last one for 30 mins thats insane and it all falls on the fact that the trainer will move right then u do the left analogy stick and x/square which is a move that takes a second to build up but when u finally do it the trainer moves like why and how is that even a thing thats stupid for real and its not just me everyone online says it takes them almost an hour before it works A HOUR for something thats suppose to be like a tatoral and should only take 15 mins max also unless u complete every one in order to go over level 80 which sounds high but its not u reach it by the time ur half down with the game so if u dont feel like taking an hour of screaming at a broken game combo than u fed for later in the game this is the dumbest thing i have even seen i do love this game but i cant give it a thumbs up if it doesnt work like its suppose to sorry not sorry

Good game, best Dragon Ball game even in my opinion. Pretty good character customization, transformations aren't the best but they're certainly good enough, great Dlc's and fun online.

I like building you're own DBZ fighter and the campaign is fun to play, fun story and fun fights. the additional stories from DLC and fighters are fun too. Just a fun game for a DBZ fan.

This isn't just an Arena Fighter, it's an MMO, an Action RPG, a Dating Sim, whatever the Hero Colosseum is, and an absolute Grindfest, but this has to be my favorite Dragon Ball game of all time.
Is it the best? Nah, not at all, like I said this game is an insane Grindfest and will easily eat hours of your life, but if you can stomach the grind you'll find something quite special.
Some of the most satisfying movement I've ever experienced in an arena fighter too, it feels a bit stiff once you start but after learning how to Ki Cancel everything just starts to make sense.

i love the game but i hate the way they changed the leveling system and its much harder now to get ssjb

I've never had a game make me feel so much like I'm actually in the show it's based on, the impacts feel weighty, the powers are flashy, and being able to pull of vanish combos and cutting through attacks with beams like I really am one of the Z-Fighters is so satisfying.

This game held up pretty well but I had a couple of problems with it. The main problem I have with this game is the combos because you will only do the same 2 combos with every character and there's nothing you
can do to change that, I also had problems with the whole choose your race deal for CaC's so first off youcan
only be a fat majin if you pick a male majin character.. why? super buu, evil buu, and kid buu are all normal sized so why can you only be the fat version as a male? It doesn't even make sense story wise cause that means the majin absorbed someone (which they cant do in this game) you're telling me that ALLL of the male majins specifically absorbed fat people? if they absorbed people why is everyone ok with this??? the female majin buu looks.. ok but enough about majin characters. This game favors sayians ALOT they have more transformations and stronger transformations then all of the other races which is really unfair because while sayians get like 5 or however many transformations all the other races only get 2!
and they aren't even that good, also accesory's and just normal clothes can be a pain in the ass because you don't really get anything that cool for clothes and especially accesory's. This game has a realllly bad case of being generic not alot of the things in this game FEEL like dragon ball it feels.. kinda lame, let me elaborate
learning moves in this game is boring and uninspired, Learn moves from all your favorite Dragon ball heroes and villans! That sounds pretty bad ass right? welllllll... not exactly because all of the missions you do is exactly the same missions with very very minor changes, fight your instructor, and now fight your instructor's friends and then fight your instructor but you have to kill them with a ultimate, most lazy, boring, and uninspired thing ever, This becomes an even BIGGER problem when half the moves are straight garbage that you will never use, or they are the same move with different animation for example: almost every rush attack, also the story sucks ass you probably weren't expecting a good story but whatever. Despite all that if your on the fence i'd say maybe don't buy this game but if you think you will enjoy it like I did just buy it when its on sale, I don't think its worth full price but I don't think its hot garbage. I will say I like the idea of including scouters in gameplay i think thats nice. I haven't beat the game yet so I can't give a full opinion on this. Il update this review when I beat it with the Namekian, Sayian, and Majin race.

the story is good but the fighting seems slanky and repetitive at times, most abilities don't serve a purpose and after doing the main story there's not much else to do

its a very fun game if you like dragon ball z and fighting games

the gamne worked well for awhile (like abt 2 - 3 years since i bought it), but out of the blue, it just freezes and crashes on loading after i pick one of my saves, doesnt matter which save i pick. its really overall an awesome game but it just doesnt work anymore and its already dying as is...

Honestly I like the game. If you are a fan of Dragon ball and you always wanted to design your own character and give him/her some of your favourite abilities from the show then this game is for you, Keep in mind the online community is not very massive so online events will not really be an option sometimes if not most of the time.But hey its a Dragon ball game where you can make your own character so do with that information what you will.

♥ ♥ ♥ Better combat that the new SPARKING ZERO ♥ ♥ ♥ This game has and will continue to withstand the test of time vs lesser titles! Sparking zero lets sweat lords spam you in the back from full HP to 0 and the fights are far too short with almost no time to do anything cool/scenamatic. XENOVERSE 2 on the other hand is a very well balanced masterpiece and should be after the generous amount of effort and love that was painstakngly put into it! GG Xenoverse team!

The hate on this game is so forced, I love this game and played it growing up. For what its worth, everyone should try at atleast once.

Great game and all, but how about you devs stop updating then game and move on, so we can keep playing mods!! Most of your new stuff is more expensive than the actual game!! Thousands of modders do better than you all, why don't you all just stop the crap already!!

Game good. Customization good. Lots of variety, inclusion for fans of all types of characters. Great music. Fantastic for all fans of the series both casual and competitive.

After several years between Xbox and later PC with this game, I installed it earlier today to see if any optimization/framerate fixes have been implemented. Shocker, the game is still infuriatingly unplayable on my TV, and I've tried all these 'fixes'. No, Variable and V-SYNC off I just can't do or my screen tears, making the experience worse, and Variable refresh rate is inconsistent... so hyper speed aura burst dashes I can't react to or random combos just not working (when I have a clear memory of them doing so in the past).


It pains me to put a negative review on this game, because I loved it once upon a time, despite all the cheesy rage surrounding PvP (Which was never my focus), XV2 was the only fighting game I've ever been good at. Figured out my attribute distributions, preferred movesets, outfits, etc. And could just throw it on and have a blast for a few hours at a time. But now, the inconsistent frames, which make inputs disappear/not register, in a game where timing is everything (aside from builds), is just ridiculous.

Sorry Xenoverse, but I'm moving on. No amount of new DLC, balances, or otherwise is bringing me back. If not even mods can fix this game, then it's a lost cause.

the game has to many cut scenes and unnecessary dialect about random crap . there is way to many use bots if your going to put bots in the game at least make them people you can battle . an entire cityand only about 20 bot battles that i retarded

I played this game for its single player aspect, and i'm sad to say its down right frustrating. Going through the story was so such a up and down moment, combat was fun, but then when it came to waiting for dialog to go by while running from the enemies because they are invulnerable, and your not made the experience infuriating. I want to give this game a thumps up because combat and the customization was fun, but i'm just hoping they don't add that aspect to any of they're other games.

though the game deleted all of my progress around a month or two ago, i still think its fun. no one plays multiplayer, but the game is still active. I wish people played multiplayer more, as i only have my friends to play with. still one of the best dragon ball games though.

Its still fun, the story is a bit slow at points but i dont mind, punching things is great and the flashy and explosive Ki moves look good too

Game absolutely refuses to die. It's the GTA Online of Dragon Ball. Even with a small PC community, the game is still going strong and there's endless possibilities when it comes to customization and single player. Definitely a must-have for Dragon Ball fans.

A vast improvement from the previous game, with so much to do and to try. Its pace is better, too, so you won't feel you're spending hours on the same exact thing.

Over all, this game is great
The combat is fast and engaging, multiplayer is fun (if you can find people to play with), and you dont NEED to play the first game to understand whats going on, speaking of the first game, this game did do many things better over the first
The hud looks cleaner and over all more appealing, and i cant really explain why, but the combat just feels better
How ever, on thing they DID NOT improve was the opening
And unlocking ssg was also just annoying
Some parts, i do think are a little bit to grindy, and sometimes the controls will kinda break and i wont be able to use a controller, but its not to big of a deal
I only have 29 hours on steam, but xbox (where i started) i have many MANY more, the game can be really addicting, but the absurd amount of dlcs costs way to much, wish they would make more free stuff like that.
And the story is decent, nothing to crazy, but it does have significantly more if you have the dlcs
But over all, i would rate this game a 8/10

This game is so fun and enjoyable. I just installed the game yesterday and played it on my free times, and believe me, time flies in this game SO fast. I literally play 1 hour of this game in one sitting without realising. I think that this game is great for DB fans because it allows you to play as your own OC and many DB characters. You can also unlock new moves and clothes by simply doing quests or training. This game is so fun, if you have enough money to buy it and you are a DB fan, then buy it. Even if you dont like it after, you can still refund it. Worth trying for DB fans 100%.

Sparking Zero costed me more than the combined : Red Dead Redemption 2, Witcher 3, Resident 2 Remake and Metal Gear Rising. And I’m not happy.

The communication service is beyond awful. It’s like talking with wall, there is no point.

Fix this damn game, it’s been more than 2 months and there is no communication with customers !

Fix dumb AIs, they are dumb. AI's de-transform and transform and do other dumb things.

Fix online errors.

Fix rage quits. Make so that when you disconnect, the one who rage quits loses automatically.

Add more offline content, like in Tenkaichi 3.

The price I paid is beyond absurd and customer service is trash. It just doesn’t exist.

Specifically for the story mode and main gameplay loop, it's a different take on the common "Dragon Ball" story. If you're the type to find it boring to buy a new Dragon Ball just to have to play through the same story mode that recounts the event's the series near verbatim then this game is probably for you. It changes up the original and keeps it interesting throughout. Also creating your own fan fic character and building them up can be pretty fun, although i wish it was all fleshed out a bit more.

Well tbh this game has a lot of content which is good but the online servers are just garbage. It neither lets you join a room nor lets people join rooms you create. Apart from that the game's good

Fun game overall, well made and great time killer, gets harder as you go on, which makes the challenges harder, and that's what makes this game so fun, i never feel like im to over powered, or that im to under-leveled

Damn, I lack of words to describe how i love this game, guess I´ll let my playtime speak for me. Unfortunely the price of the game and all of his DLC´s its ridiculous and unacceptable but far from making this game any close to be a bad experience.

PS: If you play with mods it gets 100% better.
