Grimsfield takes the form of a kafka-esque short adventure game set across a number of mini dioramas.
You, dear gameplayer, can expect the following:
- Enter a world of rules and bureaucracy, where even the rules have rules!
- Navigate this experience as a layabout poet whose only concern is their own ego.
- Visit over 1 type of office in your quest to overcome legislation.

It's kind of criminal that this game doesn't have more reviews/sales. It's a hidden gem, that's def worth checking out. You really get the feeling it was a labour of love, vastly superior to most of the other guff out there of a similar genre that shill 'critics' rate through the roof. It's short, but the memories & experience will stay with me for a long time.
A very short adventure game that has a Mighty Boosh style of humour, I've never seen it on sale, but I'd say it's worth the full price. Don't look at any videos or screenshots since it's so short -- everything will be a spolier.
Hey guys! Noob here! This 'point and chat' adventure starring a 'bit of a bell end' aspiring poet & his snarky brain was such a breath of fresh air! Set in Northern England, this quick witted, sharp tongued narrative on bureaucracy and social interaction was a lovely departure from basic platformers and shoot-em-up first person free for alls. There is SO MUCH good I can say about this game: amazing dialogue, top notch art style, OUTSTANDING MUSIC, good character development, overall had a fun time playing from start to finish. There are also a few not as good things I could say about the game: the end was super bizarre and left me wanting quite a bit more closure, sometimes your tasks felts a bit 'run-y around-y', the controls occassionally hiccuped a bit (no bueno for a point and click adventure). If I wanted to be hyper critical, I'd say that the game was a bit short, but it was a good play from beginning to end. B+ overall. Thanks to the developers!! Would definitely recommend!

Grimsfield is as described in the trailer, a “point n’ chat” game. In other words you won’t find a lot of, or really any challenge here. If that doesn’t deter you and the phrases “beatnik poetry” and “bureaucracy humor” mixed with a hyper stylized black and white aesthetic excite you then I think you’ll enjoy Grimsfield. I certainly did.
If you like this game, I would highly recommend the short animation Ptikobj, the surrealism and Northern English setting make both of these excellent bedfellows. It's a short game and as someone from northern England I really like the idea of a sequel where you can get immersed in the world a bit more because it does a great job of blending all these familliar cultural themes with a surreal setting, however this isn't too much of a bad thing either because the game doesn't overstay it's welcome; it's more or less as long as it needs to be. Another thing I'll point out is that the soundtrack is very good, from the Soviet sounding accordions to the chilled out bassy tracks.
Really great little game! Beautiful design, hilarious dialogue. The game is short and the gameplay is simple, but overall it's super entertaining and worth $3! Try it!

Buy this game now. It is a thoroughly bizarre and utterly hilarious point and click adventure. I haven't had this dense laughs per minute in an adventure game for ages. You are a poet. You are in an absurd British beatnik microverse. It is brilliant.

Grimsfield is a strange game. It's all about some former detective trying to be an artist in a world run by comical government restrictions.
The aesthetics are simple, but oddly perfect for the game. There's just enough detail to know what's going on, but it still looks like a bland world, which is clearly what the devs were going for.
The dialogue options are amusing, to say the least. The various characters definitely fit their intended roles.
Overall, if you're interested in this game, go for it. It's small, but nicely made, and you won't regret devoting a few hours to it.
This game is useful for anyone visiting the North of England or applying for a drivers licence. Be warned if applying for a drivers licence in the north, you might forget where the line between game and reallity is and start chatting jazz poetry at real people who don't care for that sort of thing.
