The game modes available in the current build are as follows:- Exosphere - Fast paced and addictive twin stick bullet hell inspired by Geometry Wars & Super Stardust
- Fathom - Test your fear of the dark with this Pac-man inspired nightmare. You can run, but can you hide?
- Commander - Crossing Geometry Wars with Gears of War Horde has led to the creation of this tower defence game mode. Build your defences and survive.
Upcoming Features
ARENA 3D has some exciting features already in development and with the help from the community, we can bring them to life in the best possible way.There are more game modes to come:
- Velocity - High speed endless runner. Test your reflexes to see just how far you can get
- Stranded - Fly in three dimensions as you take to the digital sky to defend your base
- Tower - First person missile defence. Perfect your aim and annihilate your enemies
Arcade games are traditionally best enjoyed with other players and ARENA 3D has a prototype multiplayer system already, which will be released in the future as part of Early Access to work closely with the community to refine.
Already an addictive title to play, there are a few more extras in development to keep players coming back. The Dock section is under development which has an area to customise and unlock new ships and designs by completing challenges.
Also in the Dock will be an area to unlock upgrades for your ship in each game mode category, so you can keep chasing that ever increasing high score.
No game is complete without achievements, and the Medals area will display unique high quality and detailed 3D medals for each achievement that you unlock.

fun game please update for multiplayer soon
This is exactly my genre, Geometry Wars 3 is one of my favorite games and this boasts the same design sensibility and general gameplay. However, it's quite a bit buggy and also completely abandoned. I ran into a bug because of non-standard resolution (1680x1050) that completely blocks my progress at third level, reported it here https://steamcommunity.com/app/438460/discussions/0/5532118063954838972/ and waited for half a year, now I think I'm entitled to give it a negative review. If you run it at standard FHD resolution, I imagine you'll still run into a bug or two, but a game-breaking bug that multiple users report and that's not fixed for half a year is kind of inexcusable. I think the author simply bit off more than they're willing to chew afterwards, what with making it practically on their own in Unity. A shame, really. I won't request a refund since it costs as much as a craft beer and also the only other dude making games in this genre (Waves^2) died and I feel ready to throw that kind of money at anyone trying anything with abstract twin stick shooters at this point. Also, I'll probably get another monitor sometime in the future and it might work after that but I wanted to share it's really caveat emptor in here.
A fun series of mini games each with a different feel. As of writing there are 3 game modes which provide a few hours of entertainment. I look forward to seeing additional game modes added in the future.
Exactly what I want out of a game like this. Tight and responsive controls, beautiful visual style, fast paced gameplay, and a very high level of replayability. A great example of what an arcade shooter ought to be. Multiple game modes keep it interesting, and the dual stick mechanics are extremely engaging. This is my favorite kind of game, and it's well worth the money for what you get out of it

I remember playing the beta of this game on itch or gamejolt and it whas so fun I hope you continue working on this and make more games I sometimes make little things but I dont post them 10/10 fun arcade action.
Graphics are lovely, game play is challenging and so far varied. Look forward to final release.
The developer have a clear focus on quality and exploration of game mechanics.
It currently features three game modes and they are all really polished. I hope (and think) the developer will be adding multiple maps for each game mode (as there is currently only one).
The price (I payed 2,99€) is low even for the current amount of content - my recommendation is to get it before the developer realize how good it is.
EDIT: Developer abandoned the game. Sad to see, he was on to something great.
over all great game but i have one problem that glare on the first level and maybe some others i get this isnt much but why dose it exsist plese tell me but as i said great game
For a earily access this game is solid, I love the pure shooter mode, This is a very good shooter with two other promesing modes and well worth picking you if you like a reflex based shooter. The maze game mode is a 3d pac-man stuck to a cude, still needs some work as the game mode feels like a follow the flashing light before the time runs out. I might be missing something. There is also a Survial mode that seem to have some solid ideas, it's a mode that's more about ammo management; I'm in a wait and see for this mode.
Am big fan looking forward to seeing how this game develops! This game is a steal right now and well worth picking up!
Very simple and easy to pick up the controls. Nice fun, time passer. I like the retro arcade feel while stil;l being modern and having the modern admentities! Very good game!
This game is seriously fun and has a lot of replay value, works pretty addicting... Honestly, for a one man project, he did a great job. If you want to support this product and like arcade/indie games, buy this. It's only 2,99 and honestly I can't wait for future updates.
I love the crap out of this game so far. Mike, the developer, is a great guy and has put a lot of heart into the development of Arena3D. If this is the state of what is to come - I'm crazy excited. Now, back to attempting to beat the 12 waves of level 3. *mumbles profanities*
You might go in expecting an arcade shmup like Geometry Wars but this game is so much more! In the current Early Access build there are three game modes available, each completely different from the other but all very fun to play. If you're not sold yet at least put it on your Wishlist to keep an eye on it. This one's gonna be a banger! <3

This game is fun as hell and gorgeous to boot! I'd recommend this game to anyone, it's more than worth it for the price. Especially if you enjoy turning your enemies into a fireworks display :)
This game is solid, not on is it above what you'd expect from an early access, it's rediculously cheap. this isn't a 10/10 get it now, this is 100/10 you'd be stupid not to get this.
Well worth checking out. There's a few different gameplay modes, whilst all are pretty fun, I especially enjoyed the defense mode where you fight waves of enemies. There are RTS elements in constructing barricades and setting sentry guns, loads of fun. The overall look of the game is great too, Tron, Geometry wars style, feels good.
Definitely worth the price of admission.

I like all three modes, but easily the prize in Arena is the Commander mode which is worth more than the asking price of this game alone.
My first "Indie game of 2018" nominee, scoring a jaw dropping 97% score on my scoring system which gives "value" the highest scoring priority, but this game delivers perfect controls and over-flowing fun as well.
My first "Must Buy" recommendation on Steam this year.. Fantastic job @ the developer.
Finally! Congratulation on the steam release! I have been waiting for this game for a long time. The aesthetics of this game is so damn awesome! I also agree that the game is a bit underpriced because you've spent 3,500+ hours developing this game already!
